We're hoping to have at least a day, maybe a day and a half to explore a little before the cruise. With such a short time I don't want to spend a lot of time traveling to the hotel, but I realize that the price for the London hotels may be too much for us (family of 4)

What are the price ranges

I agree, gondala would have been much better. HRC sounds like something my DH would do

You can get a reasonable room, i.e. clean & well kept with en-suite (yes, there really are hotels which still don't) for about £60/night. This are what I guess American's would call budget motels, but if you are only sleeping there they are perfectly adequate & most have been recently renovated. Would probably skip the Easy hotel on the Cromwell Road though - they love the colour Orange...for everything!. Companies like travelodge & Premier fill this cheap, but clean bracket & many are very close to central London (10 mins on tube to main tourist sites). The Novotels also tend to be nice (but a bit more expensive) & my favourite if I'm London (& the office is paying) is Millenium Gloucester Road & the Millenium Bailey (next door to that). Not walkable to the sites, but less than 10 mins on the tube which is right next door.

Shame though that the reporter had their facts wrong & somehow managed to get both Tritons & Lumieres on the same ship! (or maybe that was just in the version in the Sun paper) & implied that Parrot Cay was available all day

On a better note I think I got the last 2 bedroom DVC Villa for the week of 7/18 it is going to be busy there!

Barb I will get my schedule sorted out & see if we can meet when I have the family over at Epcot or DS!

I have to try & make dinner PS so we can relax!

Well that is typical 'The Sun' accuracy, I think she had the cruise on the Wonder, got a guide book and then constructed the article afterwards.

Anyway the Sun being 50% correct is better than the 'Daily Fail' where you can only believe the date, and thats if you purchase it promptly.

I know, but compared to the US we're all from Southend!

Ahhhhh, well folks of the USA Southend on Sea is like Castaway Cay, A beach, Sand, Sea, blue sky, water boats, food, attractions and shops.

DCL was thinking of a stop there on the Baltic cruises.....


Also Noticed going through to Virgin cruises for a quote the Med 10/11 and the East Coast Europe 7/8 repos come up for quotes the Baltics refered to in the article do not, I would presume thats because they have sold fast.

I also noticed some mixed up facts in the article. It's a shame they didn't do The other major ****oo I noticed was that sodas and ice cream were available for KIDS all day, that should just say available all day. It implies that it's not available for adults.

Good thing DW has a rental until her's gets fixed. So agrivating when you have to deal with those things.

We can meet up anyplace, doesnt' have to be B&C. We are only minutes away from any of the parks. Meeting at Epcot always works for us since that's where R&C is.
But we are very flexible, so make your plans and then you can work us in if possible.

Life got busy for a while and I got behind, behinder and then behinder still in trying to keep up with everyone.
Bob was made Chief of Police of Aliso Viejo, you may call me Mrs. Chief. Tons of phone calls, emails, meetings, long hours all on salary. But Aliso Viejo is one of the safest cities!
Have we started talking cruise yet? Not the ones several of you are going on before the Baltics. I am way jealous about that, I only have next year to look forward to.

We've really only been discussing Mike graduating from pharmacy school and he's now Dr. Mike, various vacations not including this one, oh yeah London hotels were extemely discussed the other day. So no real cruise talk as of yet.
