:goodvibesGood Morning ALL!:goodvibes
I am back did anyone miss me?

Hope you had a good one and yes we missed you.

That says it all.

Welcome Back Robert!!! Of course we missed you!

So, how was the cruise....pros, cons??? Updates, please!!

What do they say about one bad apple!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Or is there always has to be one in the bunch!:lmao:;)

As for the comparison new huge ship!
1. Huge H2O zone includes spray area, whirlpool pool like Stormalong bay but bigger regular pool & 2 Jucuzzi's.
2. Family pool area 2 big pools (bigger than DCL familiy pool) & 2 big jacuzzi's
3. Adult pool area 1 big pool split into 2 sections with stools & counter in the middle & 2 huge cantalevered Jacuzzi's!
All pools fresh water yes HOWEVER THEY WERE NOT HEATED!!!!!! I like my pools heated!

No food in the pool area? YUK advantage Disney!
As for food I would give RC a slight advantage in quality!

Never take a rear cabin as the back elevators are about at midship long walk to the back!

Disney service & entertainment still rules!:thumbsup2

Room Stewards & dining room staff are equaly nice. Concierge lounge however you have to go there or make a call during office hours to talk to the concierge, Disney Concierge always try's to track their guests down about once a day advantage Disney!

Kids Clubs tiny smaller then DCL on a larger ship? & service & friendliness are terrible! Advantage DCL

Amenities RCL Rock climbing, Flow rider, Skating rink, main street area & Casino! Disney does have the Movie theater which is nice!

I like Disney's Elevators & Staff & poolside eateries & Kids clubs better!!!!
When the new ships come out with bigger (hopefully heated) pools & some new attractions! All in All I will stick with Disney!:thumbsup2

A lot of this is what we found with Carnival as well. Even on the new ship the kid's areas were small.
Although we did have food by the pools, got addicted to the grilled sandwiches. :thumbsup2

Now you can go back to planning this cruise and 2011's vacation.

btw....There really wasn't anyone else on here in the mornings for me to pick on. :upsidedow  :rotfl2:

Laura welcome back, this week the Pound took a tumble after the UK budget report by the government, it had risen for most of April to $1.50, fell back, but is slowly going back up again now, in theory we are just above the Euro but Heathrow exchange people might have larger margins.

Hi Laura! I was actually thinking about you the other day, and I'm glad you checked in . . .

Thank You All! :goodvibes I feel better - glad I was missed.

On a note, took oldest DD out to Northridge. We drove up to Monterey, CA just before we left to take a look at Cal State Monterey Bay . Wasn't too impressed with it. So now DD got confirmation that she will be attending Cal State Northridge. Course, she is too late for dorm living. So we checked out an apartment that is literally 15 seconds walking distance from the campus. So, to save $450 dollars a semester in parking pass permit, we are going to spend $950 on a studio apt (for 8 months) right across the street from the campus. DD gets to walk (and building has no elevator) to campus.

After finally begging, pleading and coercing the older two kids to leave the house, I'm finally getting my wish and on the way home (Northridge is about 1 hr away from me) I got hit with what I suspect is the first of my kids leaving the house blues. :guilty: My son is not living with us at the moment (ongoing saga of the Hatfields and McCoys) but the good news is we are on speaking terms. LOL - we are actually super civil to each other. Anyway, I was rather quiet on the ride home and I now realize so was DD - maybe it has something to do with the fact that I told her we'd pay the apt but she'd have to find a part-time job for "expenses" = "food" .

You know - I thought I'd be happy to see my kids leave but really, I'm in limbo - not sure how I feel anymore. DD has helped so much with my youngest, I'm really going to miss that. I hope she will adjust much better than I suspect I might. Gosh - I bet the last one will be the worst - any suggestions on how to overcome these blues?

Welcome back Rjayl - good going Kara - and to anyone else that needs :goodvibes - here's some  and :flower3: to get you through the day!

Hi Laura -- my oldest will be a senior next year and I already feel a twinge of sadness when I think of her moving out . . . so I can't imagine my feelings when all three are out . . . so I'm afraid I'm not much help here!:love::love:

U could always pick on Julie!;)

U could always pick on Julie!;)

Yeah, I'm tough and can take it -- unlike you apparently, Robert!;)

Glad you are back and had a good trip -- I sailed once on RC after being accustomed to DCL and had many of the same feelings . . .Still, it's better to be sailing than home working regardless, right?:goodvibes

Call me anything, but please, please not Maggie Thatcher!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I was really disappointed with the kid clubs on RC -- the way you have to keep picking them up because the clubs close every few hours!

My wife got pretty heavily chastized for bringing our daughters up at 8:15 instead of 8 for pirate night & told that they would not be able to participate in almost everything (in front of the children) they were so upset they did not want to go & my wife ended up taking them to the ice show instead!:scared1::sad2:
