Sorry brain F**t have been out shoveling What would I do without you & Andrew & Izzie to keep me on the straight & narrow disser path!

Yeah well one of these days I am going to get a large & spaciouse yacht & spend my days sailing the Med (summer) & Carribean (winter) with a dash of the south pacific thrown in for good measure!

I hate shoveling with shovel be it manual or electic or snow thrower or any other apperatus!!

As for the count I do not care!

I am free of all vice except those involving my wife & a drink now & then!

I have to go to Chicago over MLK weekend with my son's Hockey team

I keep telling them that a nice tournament in Orlando over the winter would work well for all!

Oh did I mention it snowed here last night!

Ok, well, I don't really care for cold air, so when my middle DD got invited to interview for grad school in Miami, we all decided to go too! It's just a quick trip and weekend but I'm going anyway......

My husband and I went on a Princess Cruise in 2006 and landed in Heathrow during? or slightly after the big raid you had that August. We couldn't understand why they wouldn't let us off the plane. They finally did but from out on the tarmac and we had to walk over to the terminal. It was quite to see all the men on roofs of the parking lots with automatic weapons.

That raid was on BBC Television this week 'Crimwatch' a police programme and it showed how it was solved, that raid would have been the biggest robbery ever in the UK, if the police hadnt had a tip off.

Just got an email from Josh's school saying that there will be additional security (police) on the school buses and at school following threats coming out of the middle east

Yes I'm quite used to seeing armed police in the airports and at train stations etc so I'm cool with that, it's just that Josh goes to a Jewish school and although they already have a fence round the whole campus and security at the gates having armed police at the gates and on the buses (which are standard red London Transport buses) is just a little scarry. There has been reports in todays English papers that Hamas are stating that Jewish schools in England are now legitimate targets, as Josh goes to the biggest Jewish school in England I guess I feel pleased about the increase in security, it's just a bit frightening althought Josh seems quite cool about it. The kids were told all about it in tutor groups last week and the head master talked about in in assembly. Just a parents concern I guess.

Well, this is so disturbing, when I was in London, I noticed there weren't any public trash cans and I was told that it was due to the threat of bombs being put there. You are much closer to the unrest in the Middle East but what a great city!! Best wishes, we will be thinking of you this week.....

We have clear bags now for rubbish on public transport so we can see whats in it, and bins that will close down if any explosion occurs inside it, within a second.

We are generally 'safer' because of thinking these things through.

We have had years of experience on this from various threats, so its taken in its stride.

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel . . . however, my own personal decision is that, while I won't take any stupid risks, neither will I let someone frighten or intimidate me, since that is what they want. Your school is obviously on top of the situation, so try not to worry too much.

She went to a Giants game (yes those same Giants that lost today) while she was there. I grew up in New Jersey and used to go into the city quite often with my grandmother. I really miss the east coast. Even though it is now 80 degrees here today!
