Yeah well one of these days I am going to get a large & spaciouse yacht & spend my days sailing the Med (summer) & Carribean (winter) with a dash of the south pacific thrown in for good measure!

I hate shoveling with shovel be it manual or electic or snow thrower or any other apperatus!!

As for the count I do not care!

I am free of all vice except those involving my wife & a drink now & then!

I have to go to Chicago over MLK weekend with my son's Hockey
team

I keep telling them that a nice tournament in Orlando over the winter would work well for all!

Oh did I mention it snowed here last night!

You poor man .... sounds like you've got your work cut out at the moment Does it normally snow alot where you live ???

That doesn't look right for John's -- are you SURE that was a John's pizza? It has a thin crust wood burning oven (slightly burned) crust and not too many toppings -- I always go with the margarita classic . . . I could have taken a photo yesterday!

Carolyn, feel free to join our NYC Dismeet once we have it planned - we just have to confirm a date with JoAnn and hopefully Mrs G and salliep as well -- we won't do Feb 14, Barb . . . I am having lunch with Jo (ga9497) this Wednesday at Serafina but I am not sure if she is still on this cruise or went with the June Baltic cruise -- I will ask) . . .

Ok, welcome to our new CA friends and fellow sailors...............

Thx to Julie for the recommendation for BE...........I checked that out for my recent New Years trip and it cost $2100 for my family but if we went on a Tuesday it was like $500 so we passed on that one. That's definitely on my list.............so it's time to plan the NYC DISmeet for this winter (we need something to plan for in this frigid weather)........so who's in and what weekend.........I'm thinking February at this point, we could meet and see a show or just go to lunch and then maybe walk around...........what do you think??

Some times yes some times no we go from 40" to 140" inches of the white stuff a season!

Just got an email from Josh's school saying that there will be additional security (police) on the school buses and at school following threats coming out of the middle east

My husband and I went on a Princess Cruise in 2006 and landed in Heathrow during? or slightly after the big raid you had that August. We couldn't understand why they wouldn't let us off the plane. They finally did but from out on the tarmac and we had to walk over to the terminal. It was quite to see all the men on roofs of the parking lots with automatic weapons.

Yes I'm quite used to seeing armed police in the airports and at train stations etc so I'm cool with that, it's just that Josh goes to a Jewish school and although they already have a fence round the whole campus and security at the gates having armed police at the gates and on the buses (which are standard red London Transport buses) is just a little scarry. There has been reports in todays English papers that Hamas are stating that Jewish schools in England are now legitimate targets, as Josh goes to the biggest Jewish school in England I guess I feel pleased about the increase in security, it's just a bit frightening althought Josh seems quite cool about it. The kids were told all about it in tutor groups last week and the head master talked about in in assembly. Just a parents concern I guess.
