7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Ummm, before anyone takes the time to write him out an itinerary...it's my DH trying to be funny:rolleyes1

I have asked him to post before and this is him getting back at me for all the times I've annoyed him with Dis Board stories:rolleyes:

:lmao::rotfl2::dance3::rotfl2::rolleyes1:dancer:

Laurie, too funny! Glad he finally is getting over his major case of LURKING! I keep telling my DH updates from the Dis board and finally asked him...do you want me to keep you posted? :confused3 He said yes dear:lovestruc:cloud9: But I don't think you'll see him posting anytime soon :scared1::eek:

Sorry, I forgot to post my response/findings over the weekend. general consensus seems to be a good experience. A lady in my office has been and she said that you get about 30 mins in the ice-bar side and you then obviously eat in the other side. She said that the food looked good, but a little pricey (this is London) and wear suitable footwear as her feet were freezing due to the soles of her shoes being too thin:scared1:

Hope this helps in some way, five people responded to my question and no one had a bad experience.

Paul:thumbsup2

Thank You!! I think we'll try it!

Just caught up with the past weeks worth of posts. Sorry not posting much but my dad is in the hospital with a brain tumor. Biopsy is tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we will have more information then. We are still working out final details for the trip on the assumption that this will all be resolved by then so hopefully we will still be cruising with you all as planned.

You are in our thoughts and prayers for good news.

Okay just a quick weird question. My DH thinks we should take the kids shorty wet suits on the cruise so they can get more pool time. It is so hard to think about packing for cooler weather when it is 100 here. What do you think?

Pools are heated so wet suits? Only if you think you will really need them! Because Dorathy you wont be in Texas (Kansas either) anymore!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Cold water doesn't seem to bother kids the way it does us. Are they heavy? (the suits, not the kids) If not, go for it. The might have lots of room. My granddaughter still wants to bring her bathing suit.

Regular swim suits will be a must since we will be in the UK for 2 weeks before the cruise. I have booked several hotel's with indoor pools so they can get some swim time ahead of time but, I think it is going to have to warm up before they can swim on the boat.

The suits are fairly light,:lmao: but as we all know it is going to be a challenge packing light. :dance3:

I don't recall if a DIS meet once we get on board has been set up. I know when we cruised the Med, we had our meet and gift exchange before the sail away party. Do we have a time and place set yet? :confused3

We are definitely doing the Ice Bar in London, if you go before 6pm you can bring in children. I think they will get a kick out of the whole concept. There are other ice bars in Copenhagen and other places we are going too.

We have not gotten our cruise docs :sad2: has everyone gotten theirs?
I emailed our TA, haven't heard back from her :surfweb:
Hopefully they come soon.

I did research on the Ice Bar previously and you can make reservations online up to 28 days early. We are taking the kids and going our first day in London. We thought it would give us a goal to stay awake that first day. I think we are going to eat lunch there as well.
