7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

For the repo cruise right after this one we just booked stuff and we snagged the last brunch slot available!:cheer2::banana::cool1:
:thumbsup2

Dont forget the stretch type pants!:lmao::thumbsup2:rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Good Morning All!

Signed Alana up for Drivers Ed today. :scared: She'll be going June 16- July 14, Monday-Thursday from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The timing worked out perfectly since we leave the night of July 14! I told her that in no way, shape or form does this mean she'll be getting her license right away! Those of you that have had kids take it recently, how much was yours? Ours is 400.00.

First of all, sorry this is delayed. Month end at work is always a killer for me, so I have been off for a few days!

Anyway, my son just finished up the classroom portion and will start behind the wheel in a few weeks. The total cost for both was $365. :)

Count us out for shirts or lanyards, just not into those things, and I don't like to wear anything with my name on it (that goes back to too many years in retail).

I know from experience that Robert is easy to spot in a crowd. :rotfl2: :lmao: :grouphug: :rotfl: Before anyone mentions the obvious, he was wearing a hat at the time but had a lost look as he was talking on the phone. :dance3: :rotfl2:

Again, sorry for being behind. But, on the Panama Canal cruise, lots of us were in Disneyland before the cruise and we all had bright green rubber bracelet thingys (sorry, forget the name) and/or red/black tie dyed ones. It was so much fun walking around DL knowing that these people would be on our cruise with us!

Well, just got caught up on this thread, but I am sure I will be behind again as now we start the Little League season. Today and opening day and we have the biggest little league in Wisconsin with over 1100 players! So there is a big ceremony at 8:30 and then the games begin.

When the kids were smaller at one point the 4 biggest kids were on 4 different teams and we had an infant! :scared1::scared1:

This year will be easier as we have one in the "big leagues" which is the high school kids and one little T-Ball player. (Haven't done T-ball for about 7 years though).

AND, for the first time in a long time we have a bright sunny day with temps to be in the 70s! YIPPEE!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

'Morning all
Going to be hot and humid today and tomorrow, it's too early for that kind of weather here. :confused3

Ordered that Lawrence DVD and the TA got the seating time changed to the earlier one which is what we wanted.

Okay, not much, but if I do a little something each day it will keep me excited and prevent me from having too much to do right before the cruise.
Glad the dining schedule worked out for you. We are also on early dining.
Doing a little bit each day also-too much to plan all at once.

Laurie that's because he was at a restaurant and there was someone there Goofyier than he is. :rotfl2: :dance3: :lmao: :grouphug:

I'm impressed that he got his son to take a great pic with Goofy.
or maybe he had one too many scrumpies;)

My DS16 is reluctant get pics with the characters too:guilty:
But goofy is one character he might-especially if he doesn't have to wait on a line with little kids:rolleyes1

Funny, I just used the lanyard we had for the Med on my school keys today. I keep it in my bag and use it occassionally.

We loved the tee shirt idea because it helped us to recognize fellow Dis'ers at port and on the ship. We also had a dismeet on the ship.

I'm interested if others are as well.
Interested here too:thumbsup2:cool1:

Playing around at CafePress: :surfweb:

Great that you have that covered in advance-no need to do the Palo rush when you get on.

We took a walk this morning with our dog Kayla to Starbucks and forgot to bring her portable water bowl. Felt so bad as it is only a mile walk, but in the unexpected heat she was panting quite a bit:guilty:

She's fine, but if we walk it again tomorrow I'll bring the darn bowl:rolleyes:

Speaking of Starbucks, do you think we will see any in the ports we are going to? We have a friend that loves the Starbucks mugs with the city names on them and since her surprise 50 birthday party is soon after we get home, maybe we can grab her some.:surfweb:

You didn't get her a latte?

I wouldn't be surprised if they do as apparently even Tallinn has a McDonald's:confused3
Maybe google starbucks and each port city and see what comes up:confused3

I was trying to think how I could put the stopper in the hole in the cup lid so that I could fill it with water, but my DH was sure she would be fine when we got home so I let it go.
I would have asked the Starbucks people for a cup or something, but they are not the friendliest at this particular one. We just go there because they are close.

Just realized that because we have tickets for the Key Ceremony at the Tower of London on Sat (7/17), we have a big gap between when many of the big sites close (5-6 pm) and the Key ceremony (around 9 pm).

For those here who also have Key Ceremony tickets --What are you planning to do before the Key Ceremony (besides dinner)?

OK, now have Stockholm out of the way. Maybe by the time we get to each city I'll have things planned out. :sad2:

What is the key ceremony?

Hi All,

Have sad news. My mom passed away in her sleep this morning. It has been a hectic day making the arrangements. She was 92 and had Alzheimer's. She lived with us and we had a live-in aide, but it is still hard. The wake is Mon and the funeral is Tues. My brother is coming in for the week from AZ. Please keep my mom in your prayers that she is in a better place.

Sorry for your loss Mrs. G. :grouphug:

My DH just got a new position in the Arlington, VA area. :cool1: Anyone have suggestions on where to live up there...looking to rent to start. We'll worry about buying later after we get our feet wet.

We've lived in a quiet residential neighborhood so long that I just can't imagine moving into the city. Help!

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family MaryAnn. :flower3: :littleangel: :grouphug:
