It was wet and windy here this morning also, now just windy. Kathryn called me righjt before she left for school and said we had lost power.

So are you a duck mom/grandma now?

Fortunately the rain didn't last and neither did the wind, but the humidity is still here.
We had a viewing to go to tonight and I couldn't figure out if it was hotter outside or inside the funeral home.

Hope your power wasn't out for too long.

We had baby ducks here last year too, so maybe I am a duck grandma but I'd rather think not.

We live in Arlington, in the historic Fairlington neighborhood. It has a great bus system running through it and is within walking distance to the Shirlington shops and restaurants. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few places to rent right now. Just look up zip code '22206' on the real estate sites.

Of course, it depends on how much you want to spend, how much space you want, and how short of a commute you're looking for. If you don't mind a commute, you can get a much larger place for less further out. For us, location is Everything!

Got my Baltic DVD today and watched the Oslo presentation. Very cool

Good advice on how to navigate the area. Kind of weird presentation though as he starts out with the area by the port and then later says to do that last
Gonna try to spread out the viewing though as DH can only take so much info in one sitting

Looks like we have plenty of East Coast/VA/Delaware people here> Hope we can get a Dis meet going for June at some point???

Anyone have a suggestion for where or when? Maybe one of the last weekends in June??
Potomic Mills Outlet?? Do they still have a Disney store there?

Yes there is still a Disney Outlet at PM.
DD and I are leaving for FL around the 12th of June and will be gone for 4 weeks, but feel free to set up a meet without us.

got ours Saturday. I showed my husband the dvd and the "5 hour" part scared him, so we haven't watched any yet. I have bunco tonight and he has city council tomorrow night so maybe we can start with Oslo Thursday night!

Trying to persuade my DH to not carry his wallet in his back pocket on this trip. Way too much of a pain if something gets stolen. I'm not saying we won't have small amounts of money in our pockets, or that you have to buy any of the gadgets they are selling out there, but it seems just being aware of your surroundings can help
