We were on the 4 day cruise 9/22 and as a homework assignment, my son had to write a daily journal. I am going to post what he wrote but keep in mind, this was written by a 6 year old first grade boy!

Day 1-Kennedy Space Center
Today is the first day of my vacation. We went to Kennedy Space Center. We went on a bus tour. We saw the Saturn V rocket.

Day 2-Getting on the boat
Today I got on a boat. I liked to watch the waves. I liked the kids club. In our cabin, there is a bed that comes out of the roof.

Day 3-Nassau
Today the boat stopped in Nassau. I stayed on the boat. I played in the kids club. I swam in a pool.

Day 4-Freeport
Today we stopped in Freeport. We went to see dolphins. I got to pet one. I swam again.

Day 5-Castaway Cay
The next day we went to Castaway Cay. We went to the beach. Later, I was in a show. After, I made flubber.

Day 6-Going Home
This morning we got off the boat. It took 3 hours to get home.

That's it! Not too much really but a big effort for a little guy!

Notes from Mom:

Billy loved the kids club! On Nassau day, I finally had to drag him away against his will after he had been there from 9am until 3:30pm. I kept going back hourly from noon on to see if he wanted to swim, etc but he kept saying "I want to go with you but this is too fun, come back later" That was the only day he made it to the club during the day. The other days he mainly went after dinner until midnight and loved it. There was flubber making, freeze dancing, Captain Hook pirate thing, picture frame making and more things than I can even list.

Billy only saw 2 shows, Hercules and Disney Dreams. He enjoyed both very much. He chose to go to the club instead of the comedian and the juggler on the other nights but I know he would have really enjoyed the juggler too, he was fabulous!

Umm, that's all I can think of currently from the 6 year old point of view. If you have questions, please ask.

Thanks for sharing....That was nice...

I am sitting here with my mouth open, though, because I can't believe that you already went and are back....It seems like I was just reading your posts about getting ready to go....

It's the same for us, we can't believe we've gone and come back already either! We've decided to book a 7 day for this time next year to ease the depression.

I thought Billy did a pretty good job on that for a 1st grader so I had to share.

Hi Billy,
I like your trip report. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
I can't wait to cruise this Dec w/ my 7 grands.
