Does anyone know what the dining rotations will be like?

Not sure but I'm sure someone will be posting their trip report after the first voyage of the dream. Does anyone know the date of the first sail?

Oh, I took the easy way out and ordered my fish extender on Ebay. If anyone is interested, I'll let you know how it comes out.

If I can figure out how to make a FE then we would like to join. Has anyone posted a pic of one yet? Also, I know there was a mention in the past of possibly setting up a post for the kids/teens to get to know each other. Has one been started yet?

here's a link to photos of mine. I got the dimensions from one of the boards here, and just kind of made it up as I went (with help from my mom, who's a better sewer than I).

DD (11) and I (dad) just booked this cruise. Been on a Disney Cruise every year since she was 6 and are now excited to be cruising on the Dream.

There have been some castmember/travel agent preview cruises. The official Christening cruise departs tomorrow, then the short Boys and Girls Club preview cruise is Friday, I believe and the TA "Earmarked" cruise is Sunday. Then the MV is the 26th - that's the first official 'regular people could book and pay full price' cruise date. (WooHoo can't wait!!) At last count there is approx 150 DIS'ers on that cruise, so yes, you'll see some trip reports! popcorn::

But it's only a 4-nighter. It looks like there's only 5-nighter before our cruise (May 29th).

We're on the cruise too! First timers...and we can't wait! It's me (Regina), DH Mike; DD - 12y/o - Abby; and DD 9 y/o - Allison. We'd love to participate in the FE group if it's not too late!

We're on! This will be our 3rd Disney cruise (did a 4 nighter in 2008 and a 7 nighter in 2009). It will be me(40), DW(40), and DD(9). We are going to WDW for about 10 days before the cruise. This whole trip is my DW's and my big 4-0 celebration! We can't wait.

New boarders from Sugar Land, TX - 1st DCL Cruise :cool1: (but not first cruise nor first DV)
Me - Chad (40)
DW - Kerry (44)
DS - Thomas (9)
Cabin - Don't know, they said it wouldn't be assigned until 2 weeks before boarding. Is there someone I should talk to? :confused3 It's a Cat 4A cabin.
Dinner 2nd Seating 7pm show - so that will be an L for the spreadsheet.

Didn't get an MCO to PC transport. Considering options between day rentals and private shuttle/limo service. :surfweb: Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hello
About transport!
Are you planning on arriving the day of cruise or day before?
If you arrive day before, it might be good to stay near the port in Raddison for example.
If you come night before it might be easy to rent from Budget at airport , then day of cruise you drop family and luggage then return car, they will take you back to pier.

If you arrive the day of the cruise then a limo/Towncar service is very convenient! For the 3 of you might be break even vs Disney transport from Airport!

If you go from a Disney resort Do Not do Disney transport!!!
It takes forever! And by the time you get to port 3/4 of passengers are already on board!

Good luck!

Yeah, I should have mentioned I was flying in the day of the cruise. Landing just before 11am.

I'm thinking rental, budget 45min-1hr to get out of the airport and get the car then 1hr drive, plus 15min to stop off and grab forgotten item or two. :rolleyes1 I should be able to get there close to 1pm.

This is in the $100 range as oppose to $200+tip range. While it's definitely not a budget trip, we're trying to save in certain areas. And I think this adds more flexibility.

From your comment on dropping wife and son off and then going to drop the car off it sounds like they don't have a shuttle bus for AVIS (and other rental companies) to the port, is that true? Or are there other reason's like starting to check in.

Thanks

I know from experience that Budget has shuttle service. Now, my experience was over a year ago, so I checked elsewhere on the DIS, and someone just used Budget's shuttle to the port.

We are flying in the day before, staying at WDW for the day/night. We usually use Magical Express, but this time, we're renting a car for the night, because I got a rate of $45 for twenty-four hours. We'll be picking up and dropping off about the same time each day, so it was a win-win.

We normally wouldn't mind taking the Disney transport from a resort, but since it's a new ship, I'd rather pick and choose when I'll arrive. That way, if I want to go early and explore, I can. I don't want to be pulling out my hair because we get there at 1pm when I wanted to be there at 11.

Welcome!

We also did Budget last year which is right across from the Port and they do have a shuttle.

I have a 9 year old boy also, we might want to exchange emails so the boys could get to know each other before the cruise. That way they feel a little more comfortable in the kids club. Let me know.

Here is an updated spreadsheet. If there is anything you need me to add, please send me a PM.
