I am really excited about the Cayman Pirate Ship. Does anyone know if they offer it at different times? It would be fun if all of us could be on the excursion together.
I think there are 2 timse. I read the later is more relaxed because you're not trying to rush off the ship with the crowds in the 1st group. That's the one we were planning on trying to book. I agree, it would be fun if we were all together.

They offer it at 9:15am meet at Studio Sea/11:45am meet on pier/2:00pm meet at the pier. I think I would like to do the early one, and then I could look around GC afterwards and do any shopping I need to- and eat lunch on the ship. What is everyone else leaning towards?

Thanks, I think I will do that today! Hopefully it will help! :)

Something is up with my computer, I am unable to paste the logo into my sig! Oh well, I suppose I will survive :)
Good luck!

As far as relaxing that's about all I did last cruise. I actually thought I would do more this cruise. Last cruise other then the dinning room and the shows I don't think I did any of the activities. Our room was right back the Deck 7 AFT deck which was great. I spent a lot of time there and on deck 4 in the chairs just watching the world go by. Took lot's of naps too :thumbsup2 It was great!
:cloud9:

I'm gonna call DCL first, but I booked through a TA- so they may tell me I have to call her. I'm gonna call later.
Let me know what they say. I either need to call DCL or my TA.

I won't be around much after today. I am a NICU nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care with the bitty babies) and work the night shift (7p-7a). I work Fri/Sat/Sun, so I'll be sleeping during the day starting tomorrow.

That's our goal this time-RELAX- we've seen two of the 3 shows, so we're not gonna see them again- we'll just see the one we missed and we're gonna eat maybe 2 meals in Topsiders instead of eating in the Dining room. These are DH's requests. Oh also he wants to see a movie in the theater. He is too funny- it's a wonder he hasn't made me fill out a contract for these things. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He knows I love the characters- and want to see them all. He also doesn't want to go to Palo- so I am totally for a High tea or brunch there. He said he was gonna take DD to the movies or the pool during that time.:cool1:

We are leaning towards the early one as well. I want to have some time on the island afterwards. I would love to take DS to the Tuttle farm as well but I am not sure the logistics. It is our first time to GC.

Called TA.. she spoke w/ Disney. We are still on the 'wait list' May still be hope! :)

Wow. It takes a special person for that. Take care.

Yeah- I definately want some time on the island too. I haven't been in years, and we only did Stingray City last time- no time to look around. Although Stingray City was one of the most awesome experiences of my life- so I didn't mind. :goodvibes

I definately want to do the early one, we are supposed to be in port from 7:45am-4:00pm. So I figured I want to get room service or if we're up early we may get breakfast on deck, then just head to Studio Sea to meet the group at 9:15am, catch the ferry to the Pirate ship. Th excursion said it was 2.5 hours, so we'll get back to the Magic around 11:45am probably get lunch, then head back over to the island to look around some. :thumbsup2

That will be our main visit ( Turtle farm) it looks so like so much fun on their web sit! My youngest has loved sea turtles for over 2 years, collects them and talks and writes about them everyday!:rotfl:

For anyone that has done these cruises before- how did you relax? On our last one- I felt all we did was run around, not alot of down time. Maybe it will be different this time because we've seen alot of it. :confused3 DH wants to relax by the pool alot!!

I understand:) What we do is choose one thing each day for example on a port day ( sea turtles) we go and do that and eat and then use the extra couple of hours either just walking and looking at things or come back to the boat and relax by the pool for awhile and then about 4:00-4:30 get ready for dinner if we have to be there by 5:30.
It just depends on how you like your vacations. We personally like to do alittle then also PLAN relax time.:) Lets face it when you are on the DCL, there is a lot of stuff to do and time and go by quicker then you think.:lmao: So if you all really want relax time, then you need to plan it and treat it like an activity that you booked.:thumbsup2

Yeah- I definately think I'm going to have to PLAN some relax time- as everyone has figured out on here- I have Vacation Planning Disorder (VPD). :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Since some of us are on main dining- what are everyone's thoughts on requesting rotations? I'm not sure which I'm going to request yet, probably 5:30 or 6:00. DH said he wants to do a couple of nights not in the dining room:sad2: :sad2: , which I love, but I guess I'll give in and let him have 2 nights not in there;) .

Do you know how far it is from the pier? I am wondering if we could something on our own to get there after our other excursion. :confused3

Just got our hotel booked for before the cruise. Staying at the Country Inn and Suites in one of the kids suites. It has a Queen bed and then separate area for the kids with bunk beds and an extra twin bed, TV/DVD player for them and a family size table. B'fast is included and they have a pool, etc. It gets really good reviews and is newer. They have a park/cruise rate that includes the shuttle, but the AAA rate was way cheaper. It's $4 to take the shuttle each way, so I'll have DH drive us over (DS has a wheelchair that he uses for longer distances) and then go back to catch the shuttle. I got 2 nights for $142 each. We will drive down Thursday and go to Kennedy on Friday before the cruise. Can't go after the cruise as the kids and I have Vacation Bible School and Girl Scout camp that next week.

What are the hotels around DCL?
If you all don't know then I will ask on the main DCL threads.:)
I would like to take the kids to Kenndey Space center the Friday or Sat when we get back or, before or after we hit WDW.:rotfl:

Marriott Residence Inn
Courtyard by Marriott

Ok, that turtle farm looks pretty awesome. I'll have to see which my kids want to do as we'll just pick one.
