Wow! love the pirate logo, and I think it would make for a great magnet! I also really, really like the yellow Mickey head with the sunglasses - that would make a great T-shirt!! how would we do that?
We got switched to main dining as well - yeah! Although my dd is a lot older now (compared to our 1st cruise), she is still an early riser, early to bed kind of kid, and unfortunately, I cant bear the thought of eating that late - my stomach is turning into a senior citizen waaayyy before the rest of me!
For those asking about non-disney excursions, and how to be sure they are reliable, go to cruisecritic.com and look at the ports of call message boards. There are tons of comments about different excursions/operators and you can get a good feel for which ones have been around a long time, which ones have complaints, etc.
To answer the question about parasailing in Key West, we used Sebago and they were very good. Fury watersports is also supposed to be good. My dd was 8 1/2 then, and I felt very safe. We did the tandem, just because I was so nervous - she may not have weighed enough to go alone anyway. I originally wanted to do it on
Castaway Cay, just cause I thought I'd feel more comfortable with Disney, but it was cancelled for a few months back in 2007 - some problem with the operator. So we decided to try it in Key West. After talking to the driver for a long time about the wind conditions, he really seemed to know his stuff, so I gave it a try! fabulous - I can't believe I almost didn't let my dd go because I was nervous. The only thing she is still mad at me about is that I didn't let them dunk us!
