I want to be apart of the gift exchange, I just wish it was not taking place at that time. If we were not arriving at the port so late it would really matter but since our DCL transfers are not picking us up till 12 we will be SO behind the power curve!

What is a FE? I am not new to cruising, but to this term? Family Exchange? (If so, take my daughter, please since I already ditched DEX!)

Speaking of, any single parents in this group? Or parents traveling solo? I see one gal traveling without DH. Maybe there will be some fabulous single dad onboard traveling with his lovely child(ren) who would just love to share Palo with me one night ... otherwise I plan to go solo if I have to. (I wish, I wish, that they would let older kids go, too. Hate leaving DD but I really want to go to Palo.)

It stands for Fish Extender. It is a holder people hang from teh fish outside their stateroom and we use it for a gift exchange.

There are a lot of single moms on this cruise. It has already been talked about though, no single dads for you guys though! Hopefully though they will be on board and have just not discovered the DIS boards yet!

We are doing a group Palo brunch and if I recall correctly there may still be one seat avail if interested.

Also my family is doing a palo dinner one night...DH, me and my mom. You are more then welcome to join us if you would like. my motto, the more the merrier!

It really won't take very long. DH and I did over 100 staterooms on the TA in 2007. We had a blast doing it! It was so fun looking at everyone decorated doors and just exploring the ship!

Nop, My DH has to work Friday and our kids have to go to school to make up for snow day they had to take earlier this year.

DD and I are taking an unplanned trip to MD. My mom is sick and I just have this feeling this may be one of the last times I see her. I just booked a flight for tomorrow on AirTran going thru Atlanta and going into D.C. We wanted to fly direct to Balto on Southwest or Continental but the airfare was over $1500 for the 2 of us!That's as much as our cruise costs for 2!!! DD has off from school on Mon so we fly back then. This has been one heck of a year. I lost a good friend and neighbor in Feb, then my MIL. Say a few prayers for my mom, ok?

I will pray for not only your mom, but your whole family, you guys have had a rough year. Safe travels to and from our hometown- B-more baby.

I think it is gone. I know they pulled the military deal off of this cruise already. I was really hoping for a SPH room to open up and upgrade to a CAT 10....I won't do it now bc the price difference is huge without the military discount. Unless they don't ssell waht they have in next month it may not come back.

Do you know if that is normal to pull for example your military discount? Do they only have those for a certain amount of rooms?
I wonder how many have been sold total for this cruise date? Would be interesting to know.

Single Mom here!! Traveling with DS 14 yr old. If room go to the Palo DIS Brunch with us.
