5th Annual Christmas Shopping Thread

I'm not done reading the thread yet (on page 10!).

The more I think about ideas for DD (she will be 5), the more I feel overwhelmed about how much stuff she already has!! Ha! I need to clean out her room adn either make her play with what she has or donate some of it!!

Ideas for her:
a desk and desk accessories (she loves playing at my desk and will start kindergarten next year).
bike
digital camera (an inexpesive one)
She is on a competition cheer team, so her uniform and practice clothes will be part of Christmas, too. (That stuff isn't cheap!!! LOL)

DS (will be 1) has a lot of hand-me-down toys from big sister, so he will get a couple toys and lots of clothes!
Ideas for him:
dump truck set
Lego Read and Build books
rocking horse
a tricycle or Big Wheel

I have no idea what to get DH besides a new cell phone. He's been carrying the original iPhone since it came out and now the screen has been busted for at least a year. He hasn't complained once, so I think it's time to reward him with a new, shiny one! haha

My want list is mostly practical:
a new vacuum
new pots and pans
grey boots

I officially started Christmas shopping this weekend. I got DD a spa kit and rubber stamp set at Michaels. I had 2 50% off coupons and got the Spa Kit for $13 and Rubber Stamp set for $8. Ok these will most likely be her Birthday gifts but her birthday is Dec. 24th so it like Christmas. :thumbsup2

I also cashed in my points on reward sites and got a $25 gift card to Amazon and $10 Panera gift card, both for DH. I fill his stocking with gift cards.

I feel really good knowing I have started.

Great ideas! Yep, I told my kids they have to put 5-10 toys in the donation box before Santa brings anything. I didn't even think of this but saw a vTech camera at Costco for about $26! Poor pixellation for your 5YO (you're almost better off with a cheaper P&S camera and good cover) but gives me a great idea for my 3YO's gift list. And I'm getting pots and pans too! Found a sweet stainless steel set on Amazon that I might get.

I'm waiting for an American Girl free shipping code! So I'm stalled on my shopping.

And my in laws always want to exchange lists. Oh well!

Just finished birthday shopping for DNephews. We have a 10/31 bday on one side of the family, and a 11/2 bday on the other side. I've got some sewing to do for them, but the shopping is done.

Yay - I've officially started my Christmas shopping! :thumbsup2

My youngest brother is already 1/2 way done thanks to American Eagle's free shipping yesterday.

I was having a hard time with DD11, but I think we've got her list pretty much figured out now and already got some of it at Amazon (gotta love Prime free shipping). I know most of her other gifts will come from there too, but right now, they're just sitting on her wish list. I'm checking it daily to see when/if any of the prices drop.
So far, she's getting:

Will definitely be checking here too for any ideas/deals!

Shopping during lunch break turned out to be a good idea!

www.coldwatercreek.com has 40% off and free shipping (good for outlet and sale items too), so I picked up:

Then, I ran to Target to pick up some more accessories for DD's Smash Journal and found some really cute craft kits on clearance:

  • Smash journal entertainment tags $0.99
  • Tie-dye kit $4.98
  • Pets perler bead kit $6.48
  • 52ct Crayola washable sidewalk chalk $2.18
