58 tantrums, 2 snakes, 3 dole whips, a fall & lost sunglasses... OH MY!!!!!

Has anyone ever lost an update?

I am just sick. Spent 2 hours uploading an update while Landen napped and it just dissappeared. :(

Well, since I have OCD, I have to go ahead and post another update. I have no clue what happened to the one I just worked on all afternoon.... UGH.. Technology!

I left you last time with us getting ready to leave MK early, as I did not want to miss Fantasmic this year.

If I ever land a job again, haha, I want this in a frame on my desk.

Outside the gates, we did a mini photo shoot.

This one is frameworthy too!! :)))

~ Sometimes brothes are better than superheroes.... ~

Silly faces!!!

After our photo shoot was all wrapped up, we treked it to the bus-loading area and waited for our bus for CBR. We ended up getting off at Old Port Royale to head to the food court for a late lunch/early dinner as we were going to head to "MGM" for the evening and everyone knows, the choices at "MGM" are slim pickins'.

I got the philly cheese steak sandwich and the house made chips again
( NOM) Stevie got a burger and I got the kids the chicken tender kids meal that comes in a sandpail.

After our appetites were satisfied, we headed back to the room and were greeted with this cute little surprise.

I bathed the boys, as they were hot, gross and sticky. EWW.
Soon enough, we were waiting at the bus stop for our bus to take us to "MGM".

It was such a lovely evening!

Before I go any further, our pictures from this night are not very good. The camera battery died and we couldn't find the charger before we left the room so therefore, had to take pics with our phones.

We arrived in no time....

I loved the Monsters University set up outside and the Mike and Sulley topiaries! We went to see this movie last summer and enjoyed it. Not as good as the first one, but still good, nonetheless. My favorite line of both movies is " I'm watching.. Always Watchingggg....." The boys think it's funny when I say it. #coolmom

Obligatory photo in "MGM" right down the avenue. Excuse my skirt and tennis shoes. I just couldn't take my flip flops that night.

Again, it was such a nice night. The hot sun was gone, it was a little breezy, perfect.

Now, the bad thing about "MGM" is everything closes so ding dang early. We didnt get to meet any of the Toy Story peeps, Monsters University, Sophia. ( I really was looking forward to her) Everything was closed so early. We sure missed the Muppets, Disney Junior Live, Photo ops with Tomater and Lightning McQueen. In hindsight, I will have to remember this next time.

However, there was a Disney Junior Dance Party goin' on. We decided to check it out.

Yet again, Landen was NOT having these characters. On t.v., he loves them, up close, not so much. We didn't stay very long at all. :confused3

Now, I LOVE the Great Movie Ride. I know it needs some refurbs, but I still think it's great. We hopped in line and make our Journey into the movies. I annoy Stevie with the gangster line " Give my regards to the warden"... :rotfl2

After TGMR we walked into some shops and decided we better head on to Fantasmic. It's a good thing we did b/c O.M.G. it was so many people. A CM made us stay behind a rope and informed us that it was standing room only and he needed us to stay behind the rope for a little bit longer. A little bit longer turned into at least 30 minutes. Everyone in line was cranky and complaining. It really sucked. LOL.

A chinese lady in front of me was on her phone texting and I couldnt help look at it bc that is how squished we were. It said " I am at Disneyworld". The person responded with "where"? The lady responded with "It's a theme park".. Now, I don't know about the rest of you but I was thinking "Goodness, where has this person been living, under a rock????"

Now before you think I am totally nosey, I literally glanced at her phone while she had it up in the air for like 30 sec. :) Nothing else to look at while waiting.

Finally, the rope was taken down and Stevie grabbed one boy, I grabbed the other and we ran like heck to get a seat. THANK THE DISNEY GODS, we got a seat!!!!

I dont know how I have missed Fantasmic all these years, but I do know one thing, I will never miss it again. Oh my gosh, the characters, the fire, the lights, the water. It was just magical. The boys were so into it and I just wanted to cry. Especially at the end with all of the characters on the boat. AHHH.. Disney at its best. pixiedust:

At the end, Stevie and I again, both grabbed a child and took off so we wouldnt have to wait to push through so many people. Landen wanted to get in the stroller, as he just was wiped out and started to fall asleep. Stevie said he wanted to head out with him and Lawson and I could go do TOT. I was so excited to ride this again as it had been years since I had done so. Last year, no one else would ride, the two years prior, I was pregnant with the boys. Laws and I even watched lots of YouTube clips prior to the trip

I just love the queue for this and really hated the fact that my camera was dead. Lawson kept freaking out the whole way and was asking questions. He asked about the people they show on the clip that are holding the luggage. "They never got out mom, huh"??? LOL. I even "checked" in on FB that evening and my caption said " Will Lawson go through with it"??

Drumroll please...............

He did it. He wasn't overly thrilled about it, he clung to me the entire time. I forgot how great that ride is ( and how many drops it has) but it was great. Looking out into the night when the window flies open, going up and down, screaming, with Laws clinging to my arm was one of the greatest memories that I have of this trip.

Lawson and I got to spend a little bit of time by ourselves just walking out of "MGM". We took a couple photos and got popcorn along the way.

We met up with the other two and got in line for the buses to call it a night.. We waited.. And waited.. And waited... It took FOREVER for a bus to come. Literally, the other resorts had two and three buses coming to our one. :confused3.. It's just hard to wait with two small, cranky, tired kids.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I know of four families that are at Disney this weekend from my area. Though I am happy for all of them, I am in a Disney Depression from seeing their pics on FB. LOL.

One of my friends that is there, she found a hotel offsite for $65.00 a night. Depending on what she says about the place, we may just stay there for our quick weekend trip in May ( assuming it all works out) and save money so we can start saving for next February 2015!! Am I crazy for wanting to go just for a weekend?? ( 7 1/2 hour drive)??

Next up: Animal Kingdom!

Aww Marcie, I feel so bad about you losing an update. I've heard this happen a lot. Hopefully my Facebook advice will help.

Such beautiful photos of you all at MK. Definitely frame worthy. :thumbsup2

"MGM" woot woot!!

I'm so excited for you to see Fantasmic! (I say like like it hasn't happened yet, lol).

MGM is terrible for things closing early. And they wonder why people make it a "half day park".

Oh my goodness, I think that's the first ridiculous overheard text. My God where do these people come from?

YAY Fantasmic!!!! So happy you got a seat for your first. Isn't is AMAZING?????? I bet you never will miss it again. It's a lot of work to see it, but oh so worth it!

Your boys are so cute. We went last year it was my husband first time. My step-son decided not to go because he thought disney was filled with roller caster. He now had the change of heart since my husband told him what is actually is there, he didn't believe me :rotfl2: I didn't think I would get my husband on the ToT, but he promised to try it once. He loved it I think we went on it 5-6 times during our trip. We never made to fantasmic :sad1:

Just found your TR and love it! Your boys are adorable. Can't wait for the rest!

Thanks for the advice!

And I loved Fantasmic!! I will never miss it again- I can assure you!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that can't quite refer to it as DHS. :)

Thank you and thank you for joining in!!

TOT is one of the best!! 5-6 times!!? Wow!!

OMG your boys are ADORABLE! We love ToT sooo much & RnR. Love Fantasmic..it baffles me that there are people on the boards that find it a "waste of time" and over rated..:confused3 To each their opinion. I do wish more things were open later at DHS. Just love that park... Enjoying your TR and hoping things work out for your job :thumbsup2

We LOVE ToT!! When we were there just 2 weeks ago, we were standing in line behind a family of 4 with 2 young kids. The Dad was playing it up... maybe a little too much... talking about the 'basement' and stuff and making it sound totally real. Poor kids... his daughter was SO freaked out when we got to the elevator that she was screaming and refused to get on. Mom walked her out...

We've never seen Fantasmic :( It was on our to-do list this last time and because I was sick, we didn't make it. That's okay... it gives us another reason to go back soon!!

Great updates!!

THANK YOU!!! I am so glad you joined in. And I agree, Fantasmic is definitely not over rated!

Thanks- I hope to hear back by Thursday! It's not the pay or hours I hoped for, but its better than nothing!

Following along! :surfweb:

And I must say that you have a beautiful family! Perhaps it's your hair or glasses, but you remind me of my little sister. :)

Today we were heading to Animal Kingdom! I was most excited about riding Expedition Everest AKA " The Yeti" for the first time!! I was also excited about not having any ADR's this day! ADR's are nice and all ( especially with free dining) but it is kind of hectic rushing from here to there. It's vacation after all.

On our walk to Old Port Royale to eat.. Just gorgeous!

The food court was hopping this morning!! The kids were antsy so I took them outside to wait for Stevie to finish up his breakfast. We saw many Magical Express buses pull up and I remember thinking " Man, I am glad we're not leaving today... Anyone else ever think the same?
( We drove anyways this time) It wasn't long until Stevie joined us and we went to wait for a bus.

Pretty soon we arrived at our destination.

I promise Landen was happy, he was probably wondering why strangers kept taking our picture. :confused3

We had Fastpasses for EE so after this pic- we hurried on over.

Now, I don't have alot of pics at AK b/c we still couldn't find our charger,
( Don't worry, it turns up later)

I was SOOOO super excited to ride EE with my Laws the Boss. The CM had to double check his height to make sure.... I knew the was "just" tall enough but you never can tell. Let me just say that I can't believe it took me so many years to ride this! I LOVED It.

Lawson- maybe not so much. He said the Yeti was scary and Stevie even said that he sat there & watched the ride over and over with Landen and he just couldn't believe our baby was brave enough to ride. Heck, he won't even ride. :rotfl2:

We had another Fastpass for the safari so we had to literally trek across the entire park. Now, I like the Fastpass Plus and all but it is kind of annoying to do so much walking going back and forth. I guess next time, I have to be smarter about it.

Us waiting in line....

No animal pictures, as we didn't have the camera and you all have seen the animals before, I am sure you are okay with my lack of pictures.

After our beautiful, scenic ride we headed to DinoLand. We attempted to ride the "Triceratop Spin" but after standing in line for about 15 minutes, we were told that it was closed. How weird that this ride and Dumbo messed up during our trip, considering they are comparable rides. By this time, we were SOOOO hot and the kids were really complaining and I could feel myself getting irritated. We had one more Fastpass for Dinosaur and I let Stevie take Lawson and I pulled out a sucker for Landen, as we sat on a bench to wait.

You can tell how hot and sweaty he is, and this was around 11:30 a.m.

Soon thereafter, the other two joined us and we treked back to the other side of the park to do "It's tough to be a bug".

We ended up not even doing it, b/c we were just so hot and I could tell Stevie didn't have much interest in doing it. Looking back, I hate we didn't do it, as it would have been a nice place to cool off and it has always been one of my favs. It reminds me of going with my parents when I was in 10th grade in 2001, our first time at AK and the last vacation we took all t/g before they divorced....

Sad to say, but we ended up just heading to the bus stop. I just couldn't believe how hot it still was, being that it was October. We decided to hop a bus and visit the Wilderness Lodge and eat lunch at Roaring Forks. I really wanted to see this resort in person. The bus took FOREVER!! I was so hot and hungry, it wasn't even funny. I even had to sit down on the ground b/c I was starting to feel dizzy.

We finally board a bus and Landen commenced to " being off the chain". He was screaming, crying, wanted to get down.. It was tantrum CITY!! Poor thing was exhausted, hot, sweaty.. UGH. I was so embarrassed. It was BAD!

The first stop was one of the waterparks and we just ended up getting off there, bc I was so embarrassed to be on the bus any longer. LOL. Finally, after about 15 minutes, what looked like heaven, was a bus back to CBR.

We got back to the resort and ate in the food court AGAIN. I was not thrilled, as this was our millionth time eating here and I was really wanting to try some new restaurants but it was, what it was. LOL. I just wanted to keep the babies happy, as we still were going to Epcot and MK later on that day.

Forgot about this picture at AK :)

Before I move on to the next update I wanted to share a couple of our Christmas pictures we had made in November. :)

I hope you guys have a GREAT weekend! I got the call back this week about the job interview and I got it! I start Monday but I just can't get excited about it. The $ just isn't what I was hoping, with traffic it is going to take close to an hour to get there, the hours are kind of weird, like having to work until 8 sometimes and with kids, that will be hard. And working 3 Saturdays out of the month. I'm just not used to that. I hope they are flexible when you have to ask for time off.. ( Hello, Disney time? ) LOL. I will be workingfor a dealership and I have worked for attorneys for the past 6 years. Maybe the change will be good for me.

But who knows, I am going to give it a go and I have been telling myself to be positive, this might be a stepping stone to somewhere else and it's better than nothing. And if it doesn't work for our family, well, it just doesn't work.
Have you ever started a job you just weren't sure about?

Yup, even though I don't use it, seeing the ME busses always makes me glad I'm not getting on.

Hmmm, I'll have to try this Everest you talk about Marcie. :rolleyes1

OK, YAY for your first (of many now to come I'm sure) ride on Everest. How cool is it???

I love your Christmas photos, but my fav is the one at the tree. I always adore photos that look natural like that one. Precious.

OMG MARCIE!!! You got the job!!!! I'm sorry it doesn't sound perfect yet, but maybe it will turn out great. But congratulations just the same!!!!
And yup, I've started a job that I wasn't sure about... 12 years ago. But hey, at it pays for Disney. ;)
