58 tantrums, 2 snakes, 3 dole whips, a fall & lost sunglasses... OH MY!!!!!

Great pics! The boys couldn't be smiling any bigger :)

We stayed at the CBR in 2010 and just loved it. We, thankfully, didn't see any snakes.

Thanks so much for the p.m. I can be a ditz sometimes and not notice when someone has started a new report.

Isn't it the greatest seeing those sweet smiling faces light up when they see the Disney World sign?

Yikes! Two snakes in so little time? Thank goodness they didn't make any return visits.

Ahhh, those wonderfully seasoned housemade chips. I could go for some of those right this very minute.

Hi Lisa!! Glad you made it!

I concur with seeing their faces light up at the Disney World sign.. I am convinced that heavens gates have to be similar.

I really could go for those chips. We ate at the food court at least 3x and I always had to get those chips.

After our late lunch, we just strolled around the grounds a bit... It really does feel like you are in the Caribbean. There is island music playing and this particular afternoon, there was some kind of activity/party at the pool. The pool was soooo beautiful!!!

Whoops, this one is out of order... This was on the stroll to OPR

Landy playing with his sword we got at check in....

I think that is my feet hanging out in the background. LOL

I am quite excited this morning as I casually mentioned to Stevie last night how fun it would be just to go on a weekend trip in April for our anniversary, only do the Magic Kingdom... Also maybe something to keep my mind off of Mom's 1 year passing that month. Surprisingly, he said as long as I have a job by then, he doesn't see why not... I should have checked him for a fever bc he has always said he would never go to Disney just for a weekend since it is 7 hours away. My friend Kimberly ( first timer) wants to go with us on our next trip but can't go until February 2015 and I really cannot wait that long... LOL.. This would help suffice the wait!!!

Well- This morning, I was talking to my sister this and they are actually going in June so now thinking about waiting until then and surprising our boys. Hayden is my nephew and he and Lawson miss each other so much. We would not tell that we are meeting there and just casually bump into each other. They live in Tennessee now and they don't get to see each other very often anymore. The boys have had a hard time these past few months with missing mama and man, this would be such a treat- to see them back together having fun. Fingers crossed it works out!!!!!

Up Next: 1900 Park Faire with "Ella" and the step-sisters.... My New Favorite!!!!

I've joined in to read your trip report.

Sorry to hear about your mom. My mom was diagnosed with the C word this year and it has definitely been a roller coaster for us. She is in remission now.

We enjoy Caribbean Beach so I am enjoying your pictures!!

Thank you! Ahh man- hate to know that about your mom.. It's so tough, I know. Hugs!!

Welcome aboard!

After we got back to our room, we freshened up to head out to dinner at 1900 Park Faire, which in case you didnt know, is in the Grand Floridian and OMG, let me just tell you, the GF is stunning. How I wish I had GF money. Ahh... I LOVED it.

Has anyone ever seen the older lady who sits in the GF? She has a suitcase and her make-up is well, kind of "not right". Like mascara caked on and uneven, etc... When I first glanced at her when we were getting on the elevator, I thought she was a statue until I saw her move.. LOL. She said hello to us and was so friendly. I asked a CM about her just because I was so curious and she said that her husband died and someone brings her to listen to the band at GF. How precious.

Band playing

On our way in the elevator

I literally remember how happy I was this evening... All of the crap I had thrown at me all year and all the time we waited.. We were finally here....

One of my favorite pics of the whole trip...

Great pic of your family from 1900 Park Fare!!

How sweet about the little lady. I don't think I've ever noticed her before. When I grow up, I want someone to take me to Disney so I can sit and people watch all day!! ;)

What a great picture of your family! So sweet :)

We've never been able to squeeze in a visit to the GF. This time we may have to make the time... it looks beautiful.

That's so lovely about that lady who lost her husband. I think it's nice of the person who drives her over there to listen to the band :)

I`m here Marcie!!

OMG I remember when you posted that snake picture on FB. Still creeps me out. I don`t do snakes.

Ah yes, the GF lady. I believe she`s been going there for years and years, God bless her.

So nice to see that big smile on your face Marcie!! :goodvibes

Love it so far. I like how you broke it up in smaller chunks-----I should have done that! It would have seemed like less of a daunting task! LOL

Disney is a great distraction and such a soothing place when life is in turmoil! we went the Feb. after my dad passed in October.

Subscribing.
