58 tantrums, 2 snakes, 3 dole whips, a fall & lost sunglasses... OH MY!!!!!

Love it so far. I like how you broke it up in smaller chunks-----I should have done that! It would have seemed like less of a daunting task! LOL

Disney is a great distraction and such a soothing place when life is in turmoil! we went the Feb. after my dad passed in October.

Subscribing.

Hi!! Welcome!! So glad you joined and are enjoying! I definitely agree Disney helps you " find your happy" :)

After our picture, we were led to our table. I wasn't a big fan of our location. We were sat at a little table and was just too close to another family ( who looked like they didn't want to be there) The mom hardly smiled and it just felt awkward.. We ordered drinks and I hurried to make the boys' plates... I was so scared I was going to miss the characters, LOL.

I am such a kid.

I got the kids some fruit, pizza, macaroni and cheese, standard kid stuff... I finally got to try the strawberry soup... I always thought it sounded so strange but I actually enjoyed it. I know the food gets bad reviews here but I LOVED it. I got sushi, seafood salad, pork loin, peeled shrimp, macaroni and cheese, all kinds of dessert. It really was delicious & I was quite surprised!!

Prince Charming came around first... He was a doll.. He said " I see you have two princes, lucky lady..." Precious.

What a cutie pie!!

Next up was Cindy herself.. She was beautiful. Landen called her "Ella". :)

Lady Tremaine was up next... She stayed in character PERFECTFULLY!!!

My boys didn't seem to care!

LOVE it.

Priceless. :)

Ha! That look on Lady Tremaine's face is great! I love how they stay in character. It's so much fun :)

Oh Marcie, of COURSE you should be scared of missing the characters. They're the whole point. I feel sad for the family near you and the grumpy mom. :sad2:

I know right... Who comes to 1900 Park Faire and sulks?? I mean, I sulked some during my trip too but definitely not there. LOL

Next up were the ladies of the hour:

They were so hilarious and asked me if the boys were "available" :rotfl2:

They were running and shrieking all over the restaurant... My boys didn't know what to think. I thought it was simply awesome! :)))) In hindsight, I wish I would have been in that last picture. :( Oh well.

Looks like someone enjoyed his dessert!

After we settled our bill and gathered our stroller, we went outside and just people watched for a bit. This view was just absolutely beautiful. As you can see, there wasn't very many people out so it was very quiet and peaceful. Other than my two acting the fool, of course. I recall a couple tantrums ( hence part of my title) at the GF.

We walked around the gift shop for a bit and then hopped a monorail back to MK to head back to our resort. Along the way, we stopped to see the ferry coming in.

Following along!

Your boys are so adorable! That seems like it'd be a good age to take them to Disney; I can't wait to see how they reacted to the rest of the trip.

Oh, and 2 snakes at CBR on one walk!!! Yep, I'd have switched resorts....:rotfl2:

Great pics!!! Oh my gosh... what a fabulous smile your little one has! :goodvibes

OMG OMG OMG, seriously Disney can keep the princesses (except Ariel). I'll take the stepsisters every time. I love them!!!

Yay!!! Welcome!!! It was a great age! Granted there are meltdowns and such but all in all- we had a great time! Can't wait to go back!

I seriously wanted too but she said all of the resorts were booked up! Lol

After arriving back to CBR- We changed into our swimsuits and headed to the pool. CBR's pool is pretty much the bomb. Especially at night... My camera blows and really need a new one so therefore, my pictures are not all that but anywho.... Alot of the reason why I booked CBR was because of the pirate ship water area.Lawson loved it, Landen not so much. Landen is a water baby and always has been but he would scream everytime the water would dump out- and that is without even being in the water. Just the sound of it... I guess one out of the two aint bad.

I thought Lawson would love the slides but I never could get him to go down. I even went down twice, Made me feel like a little kid. It's a shame they won't let you go down by twos. Laws just couldnt do it on his own.

I love my Mini-Me!!

There is no such thing as too much fun!!

We just swam, laughed, splashed, I went down the slide and pretended to be 10 again.. The pirate ship and the big pool are separate and turns out they lock the gates to the pirate ship at a certain time and I had to get a lifeguard to open it up to get our stuff.. Whoops... :) The Princess and the Frog was playing as the "Movie under the Stars"... I grabbed a beer and we got some fries to share and pulled up a seat and enjoyed our "midnight snack". The Banana Cabana is the bar here and boy it was packed and I remember thinking how loud and annoying all the adults were. LOL.

After loading up our belongings, we went to walk on one of the little beaches near our room in Aruba. Lawson and Landen had a ball running in the sand and I just sat there watching them and thinking for the millionth time " Wow, we are finally here". You know the ahhh... this vacation is really happening feeling..

Ahh...... My 3 BOYS!!!!

Lawson is totally posing like a superstar and Landen is like Ehh, whatever mom. SPOILER: This doesn't last long.

BAHAHAHAAHAHA. Got to love those real life moments. Lawson did something to Landen and Landen don't take no junk. You know that saying dynamite comes in small packages or whatever it is... That would be our Landy!!

Assuming that the kids were just too worn out, we treked back to the room and put them to bed. Stevie had to make a Wal-Mart run to get milk and a couple other needs for the next day.

He took this pic for me on his phone on his way back in the park.

Beautiful.

Merry Christmas Eve my fellow Disney lovers! I hope you all have a wonderful, magical day with your family. I have been rather down today. Just missing my mom extra today, being as it is the first Christmas without her and still being jobless. UGH. If you still have your mom, hug her one extra time for me. It really is tough some days, whenever I just wish with everything in me, I could just talk with her ONE more time.

We will go to church this evening and I plan to read the boys "Twas the Night Before Christmas" just like my mom always did to me when I was little and as I have since my boys were born... The show, Good Luck Charlie has a Christmas special coming on the Disney channel tonight and I hope to catch that too. I LOVE that show.

Wishing I was at Disney something serious today.

Well Marcie, if there is a better place to pretend to be 10 again, I don't know of it. Myself, I go for 5.

So glad you're getting the most out of your resort since you stressed so much over where to stay! Just a big ball of happiness.

BIG MASSIVE GINORMOUS HUGS to you today my friend. It's tough, I know.

Merriest of Christmases to you and yours.

Oh, and I also wish I was at Disney today. Fancy that. :scratchin

Yeah you know I was the biggest resort hopper ever!!!!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too! ;))))

Dinner at the Grand Floridian looked like a lot of fun! The step-sisters are hilarious!

Awww, it's too bad that you could only get one of the boys to play in the pirate splash area at the resort. You already know that we think that the resort is absolutely gorgeous and our favorite thing to do there is "just hang out".
