Hey, I'm still planning for my Jan 09 trip. I have made ADR to have lunch one day at the 50s prime Time Cafe in DHS. I am wordering if any of you have any favorite waitress/waiter from your pass trips. Our part of 4 guys, no kids, which make me wonder if they would still play along with us because there will be no kids in our group. Who shuold we ask for to have the most fun for that meal? :dance3:

They are pretty good about playing with everyone, regardless of kids or no kids. I cant remember our servers name, but he was great. My Mom asked him "Geesh you look familiar" at which point he put both hands up near his face and said "Just Jack!" Our entire table burst out laughing! He did look a lot like Sean Hayes!

You may want to post this qestion over on the restaurant board.

Joe and I go there all the time. One of our favorites. We're two guys, no kids, and the cast members always goof with us just as much as they would any other table. Couple of times, they'd actually make it a point to bust on us even harder than others because it's pretty obvious we have good senses of humor and are willing to play along.

Ah yes, public humiliation is good for the soul. :thumbsup2

We usually have no kids, and they are great! I think you just have to kind of let them know that you want to play along.

We have been there multiple times for lunch and dinner. Sometimes just the 3 of us, other times in bigger groups with friends. Every time I check in I ask for a FUN server. And every time we get one who is just sort of "eh". But I have SEEN really fun ones. Luck of the draw, I guess. :confused3

Jay and I both love the Prime Time Cafe !

On our last trip we really enjoyed the young lady "Sister Dawn" who waited on us.

Remember, Elbows off the table, Eat all your vegetables, and then you will definitely be ELIGIBLE for dessert - Please have a hot fudge sundae for me.

The onion ring appetizer was delicious by the way, I know all so fattening.

That's why I want the name of the good ones
It's all about the service, it is an experience going there.

I'll have to look at pictures to see if I can remember/read the nametags of some good ones we've had. And we've had some doozies! I always ask for someone who will really play along and give us a hard time.

My favorite memory from there is one year when I went, along with my son, my sister, and our mom. My mom at the time was in her early 80's and we didn't tell her anything about the restaurant. She went to the restroom right after we were seated and when she returned the waiter asked her if she'd washed her hands. The look on her face was priceless! :rotfl2: He then asked her what color the soap was. My mother quickly figured the place out and had a great time! My mom is now 85yo and I know won't be able to return to WDW, so those will always be priceless, precious memories. :)

Auntie Claire is the ultimate best! She has worked there for years (she has photo albums of pictures past guests took with her and sent, including me!). Besides the fried chicken, she is the best thing I love about Prime Time!:lovestruc

"Cousin Audrey" was a hoot for us when we ate at the PTC in 2006. We brought photos to her the following year and she gave us a bad time for not being at her table!

We will definitely ask for her again and highly recommend her!

The friend that came along with me (a 40-something) has a huge personality and tends to come off as "jokingly tired and annoyed" when we go to restaurants. The waitress we had kept right up with his personality and acted like she was our aunt. And, of course, she yelled at him for not finishing his vegetables. Even though it was a little pricey for lunch, we still had a great time there. You'll enjoy it.

Oh...I miss me some Will, Grace, Karen and "Just Jack" (esp Karen and Jack)

I saw Bucket List and almost didn't recognize Sean Hayes....too used to seeing him as Jack

Of all the times we've eaten at Prime Time, hands down our best servers were Sue and Manny. Here are a few pics from our funniest dinner ever.

"Mom" Sue feeding my DH Harry his green beans after sis-in-law ratted on him.:lmao:

My sis-in-law got it all on video.

Manny informing SIL that's it's not nice to be a tattle-tale.

SIL had to go stand in the corner for her bad behavior of tattling.:rotfl2:

SIL sheepishly turning around to see if anyone notices she is standing in the corner.

DH and SIL were very good sports about it!:thumbsup2
