$500 Gift Card Offer

DBF Just received an offer for a 5 night/6 day stay including tickets at a value resort that includes a $500 gift card. YES a $500 gift card. The dates actually fall during our April break and I am not considering it. I would of course upgrade to a mod and add park hoping but we could use the gift card for food and I also have some points on my Disney VISA so we prob wouldn't even need spending money...anyone else get this offer???

Yes it covers Easter week, well it cuts Easter week by a day short. Too bad the flights down there are going to kill my wallet though if we do decide to go...

I got the same thing, but I thought mine said that it was for stays in March. I've already booked a stay at the first of March, though, with a 40% off PIN code, and I'm saving a lot more than $500 by getting 40% off at the BW. I don't know how I lucked out with getting two different PINs like this! I think Disney's business must really be hurting.

We got one. It specifies "For stays most Sun.–Thurs. nights 3/1/09–4/16/09." but says to ask about other lengths of stay and resorts (the price it gives as an example is for values, as usual). It also mentions different gift card amounts for different lengths of stay.

It's the first PIN I've gotten in a few years, but sadly not during the time we're planning to go this year. Fingers crossed for one for later this year.

Like cocowum we will be using it after the Podcast cruise for a stay at Pop. I love all these discounts that are coming out.....

Depending on where you are flights may not be as expensive as you think...just check farecompare.com. We got 2 rt from Ohare for 370 with taxes included. Good Luck!

I got the $500 gift card pin also but the pricing in the big font is a tease of sorts, it is based on double occupancy and I'm going solo so my AP 44% off at a Value resort worked out to be a better deal on my cash outlay even though I won't get a gift card since park admission is something I really don't need.

I agree, Disney is trying all kinds of things to fill resorts but as podcast has mentioned, sometimes Disney tends to forget about their AP holders. For example, if you could not go for a week but wanted a long weekend say Thurs night depart on Monday for ESPN the Weekend, you would be paying $135 - $150 per night at a Value for the Friday and Sat. night stays but only $69 with the AP rate for Thurs and Sun.

actually we are staying 4 nights / 5 days and going to receive a $400 gift card I guess they can adjust it from $500 to $400 depending on your stay, since we can't stay the extra night. What a great deal, since we are annual pass holders we only purchased a one day base ticket cant wait to go in march!!

I think my buy 4/get 3 deal would still work better for me...I'm actually doing two, buy4/get 2 free stays..we're going for 12 days, 6 at POP & 6 at AKL, 2 ressies, so I get 2 $200 gift cards, and a total of 4 nigths free, I'm upgrading my first set of tickets to 10 days, and will be saving the 1 day base from the second stay for another trip...I wish there was a better way to manage the whole ticket thing....I only need 10 days since we'll have 2 non park days...but that was best I could figure out...

I got the same email, a pin code for $500 gift card for stays March 1st-April 16th. I am not going until May though.

Does anyone know if you can use the gift card toward food/meals? I thought I heard somewhere, maybe on the podcast? that the giftcard was only good towards merchandise? Or is that the $75 gift card that you can get on your birthday? I'm sure I heard or read on the boards that one of the cards can't be used at restaurants.

I got for separate emails with the same PIN Number. I booked a trip for the week before Easter. It's a pretty good deal for a peak week. My final cost will only include the 6 Day PH Pass cost $875 for 3 people, $213 for the PoP Century (5/213 = $42 A Night). The Gift Card can be used for food.

My PIN I just got doesn't include May. I feel like Disney knows I want to go in May and they will not send me a PIN. Oh well.
