Good morning to everyone. Amanda, I'm hoping things are better at your house this morning and Nate is doing OK. Happy belated 16th birthday to Jordan. Band concert sounded great last night. It's amazing how much the band improves from 5th grade to 6th to middle school to high school. Scary moment last night when and elderly lady sitting in the row in front of us just blacked out. A lot of us thought she was dead. Luckily, the head of the ambulance service was sitting a couple of rows up on the bleachers and was right there with her in a matter of seconds (advantage of a small town). She did come to after about 10 minutes and went to the hospital.

Our door signs are very plain compared to all of these great ones that I've seen, but that's just the way it is. I printed mine on plain paper and laminated it at the library (one of my perks). Then I have magnetic strips for the back. The magnet strips have been on the refrigerator door for the last week uncurling (had a roll of it). Stacey, I'm getting my hair cut this morning; more of a trim than a cut. I'm too lazy to have long hair.

I have to take him back to the DR on WEDS to get the stitches out....it will leave a scar...I am sooo grateful taht it wasnt anyworse THANK GOD!

Poor little guy!! Give him our love! You know kids, this will affect you longer than him......




on a lighter note: I hope the scar doesn't throb everytime he goes by a ride now!!

Jay came home, Jordan was a good sport and wore a silly hat while she opened her presents, and then we met Megan, Pete, and Jordan's boyfriend at Desert Ridge and had dinner at Rock Bottom.

A busy day, but fun was had by all. Can't believe my "middle" baby is SIXTEEN! Afterall, I'm only 29.

Thanks to Sandi for pointing out the error on my newspaper door sign. I had the "Magic Sets Sale" instead of "Magic Sets Sail". I've tweaked it a little and will have to decide which layout I like best. Still can't decide if I'll laminate or buy the magnetic paper.

Big day today...It's John's investiture for grad school. I think the only reason my mom was invited was so that someone would iron his dress shirt and his robe He knew not to ask me...

Gotta figure out what I'm wearing...Guess I better dig through my closet, past all of the workout clothes, jeans, t-shirts, etc... Guess that also means heels not sneakers....ugh...

Someone been playing with PhotoShop, heh?? What filter is that??

Its actually brought into Painter Classic (Free with my Wacom tablet) then using its cloning function I can hand paint the picture in and then use a 3D filter. Then I bring it into Photoshop and use the texturizer filter to add the paper look.

I am still palying with it -- I think I may have added too much detail back in by using too small of a brush.

A couple of years ago (last Disney cruise?) we found a magnetic sheet that had an 8x10 clear pocket on the front -- that way you could print out on regular papaer and just change out the paper sign.

Don't mind him - he was brain dead for the past two years - we found it at Michael's this November - we put Maggie's soccer team action photos in them...There were all the standard sizes for photos.
