Hey hon, Armyfan just asked what kind of camera you have. All I know is, it's the latest and greatest Nikon SLR. Boys and their toys...

Between Kevin and Stacey, I may never have to carry a camera again. Well, maybe on family trips, if I want any pictures with PEOPLE in them.

I really am leaving....I just couldn't resist this. At least someone in our family uses the treadmill!

That is too cute! Is that the softest spot in the room, or the one where he has the best view of you?

Good for you! :thumbsup2 I have a 'tip' for you regarding EE. If you get there right when the park opens and hoof it to EE; grab FastPasses, then get in the standby line. You should be able to ride standby at least 2 times (maybe 3) before the FP line opens (around 9:40). For the 1st 40 minutes or so, standby moves quickly! Then, since you got FPs 1st thing, you should be able to FP again around 9:45! That's what we did during Spring Break (which was VERY busy!) and never really stood in much of a line at all! :thumbsup2 I'm sure I made this sound much more confusing than it really is! :rotfl2:

Not confusing at all, exactly what I'm hoping for, in fact! Of course, this does not account for teen waking and prep time. But we'll start early!

Hi Kevin.

Thank you for the safe sea link...again!

Also, I've recently discovered the photography board...you may want to ask over there about the tripod. That is a good question.
They have some terrific tips on how to take fireworks photos as well.

BTW, what kind of camera are you using? We're thinking about picking up a dslr before the cruise???!!! I'm not new to digital, but am very new to slr...

(I'm armyfam...not Tracker! Oh well....)

I did ask over there!

I have a new Nikon D200!! Quite the awesome camera, got it with the 18-200mm AFS VR lens (plus a couple of others). Amazing pictures!

I also have a Olympus 7070 with an underwater housing that I use for the scuba diving. My main gripe about that camera or that type of cameras (prosumer types) is the slow shutter release speed. Underwater, I was getting fish butts due it. The D200 is blazing fast and can take RAW pictures up to 5 per second up to 20exposures! Very nice!! But the cost of housings for the big boy cameras cost more than the camera, some several times......... will have to wait awhile for that to happen.

Are you kidding?? You're are talking to Disney World freaks here!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We both understood and have done the same thing before!!! Good tip!! :woohoo:

We have a Cannon Rebel XT (I think) ;) We bought it just about a year ago and LOVE it. It takes great pictures. (except when we had something on the lens and it left two splotches on every picture--not the camera's fault)

I do know it's much bulkier than the little digitals we've had. Requires a much bigger fanny pack. But then again, my fanny is bigger now, so it's all proportional!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hi OM!

We are looking at the Rebel as well as the Nikon D50.
Which lenses do you have?
I hope to get one soon so I have time to play before the cruise!

I saw a beautiful night photo of the Wonder in Nassau on the photography board...I'm hoping to get a beauty like that one!!!

Even better - do the single rider line - we waited in line 20 minutes each time.....

Of course - when we went back for our FP - the ride was broken....

About all I understand from this is "awsome camera"...."amazing pictures!"

and lastly, that the u/w camera is too slow...

how's that?

I haven't read up on RAW vs. JPEG etc, so I'm lost there.
Glad you love the camera. I've read good things about that one too.

Dancind,
I think my DH will do the carrying, but I'll be taking the photos...like you said, if you want people...you have to take them yourself!

Kevin,

I knew you & Diana know how to "work it"!! [The FP system, that is!!] :rotfl2: It still amazes me how many people don't! ;) Actually, I was surprised last month how easy it was to get on EE multiple times! :woohoo:

Well, that's not supposed to happen.

I just called to find out what movies would be playing. I think I got them all written down.

Chicken Little
Eight Below
Herbie Fully Loaded
Narnia
Sky High
Glory Road
Shaggy Dog
The Wild
Annapolis

I was hoping to see DaVinci Code, and ds was hoping to see Hoot. Oh, well, there are several of those that we haven't seen, yet, and the ones that we have seen haven't been on the 'big screen'. We never did go see a movie on our first cruise, so I've never been in the theater on board.

Cool! I've seen three of those, but the rest is "new territory" for me.

The theater is nice, my only complaint is the minimal leg room.........

I rode my :moped: into work today. It's a little chilly riding in the morning. DH took his big boy :moped: to work. Now I know why he wears his gloves :cold: , especially when I had it full throttle to 35 mph! (Slow like the boards).

I loved owning and riding motorcycles! But big bugs and rain tends to hurt!!!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

It won't be a problem for those of us with 'minimal legs' :rotfl:
