A note on wine parties. They're fun, but it does require booking a private room with DCL. Someone else took care of it on our last cruise, so I don't know what it costs. I know they had to order some snacks, which cost money, and we all chipped in to tip the servers that were there. We all brought wine, DCL provided glasses, and it was fun.

Booking this would involve not only making the arrangements with DCL (we used the piano lounge), but also putting the room and food on your account and collecting from the participants. If anyone wants to take this on, I guess they get to pick the time & date!

Just got my shipment of Safe Sea and other stuff from Drugstore dot com. THey were great. I spent $27 and there was no tax and no shipping charges (YEAH)

After a glass of wine, no one will be able to tell the difference anyway!!! :)

Do you mean after drinking the wine....or after someone tosses theirs on me???

You mean, a glass of wine ON the skirt? Surely you're not going to do that again!

:confused3 wasn't me. :confused3

nuh-uh...wasn't me!! not me. not me. not me. :lmao:

I meant DRINKING it. :) Then, think of this. Once you sit down, who will see your skirt. So if the shades are SLIGHTLY off, it won't matter once you sit. :) By the time you get up, everyone in your area will have had enough wine that they won't care! :)

GMTA !

And not to worry....you'll ALWAYS be my cruise/vacation shopping buddy!

Look at the smiles......You also were having a good time... :goodvibes
My hair (at least bangs) will be cut before the cruise as well.....And Sam will get a little sleep.....

Irene - You can't cut your hair. That's how I can find you easily in a crowd - your long braid. It was funny to see you scuba diving with your (3ft or so braid) floating straight up in the water. I hope Jim or Matt got a picture of that. I do know Matt has a picture of you "marching" into the Dive Entry way.

The funny thing is....the skirt itself is black and white...it's the under skirt that's a certain color. So most likely, no one will see that part, anyway. Unless I drink too much wine and end up on the floor.......:rotfl2: ....like that.

I think Kevin hopes to take some pictures of Illuminations. Anyone else going to be around that day?
I really don't want to drag the tripod on the trip, but that is the best way to photograph fireworks. Maybe they rent them in WDW??? Anyone know???

Ok, it's official. We broke down and bought some multi-day, non-expiring park passes. Decided to blow our tax refund on this trip! We will be in the parks on May 23. The plan is to hit AK early, get as many rides on EE as we can, maybe do the Safari, have lunch. Take an afternoon break, then head to Epcot since it's a late night there. We're having dinner at Les Chefs at 6:30. I think Kevin hopes to take some pictures of Illuminations. Anyone else going to be around that day?

Good for you! :thumbsup2 I have a 'tip' for you regarding EE. If you get there right when the park opens and hoof it to EE; grab FastPasses, then get in the standby line. You should be able to ride standby at least 2 times (maybe 3) before the FP line opens (around 9:40). For the 1st 40 minutes or so, standby moves quickly! Then, since you got FPs 1st thing, you should be able to FP again around 9:45! That's what we did during Spring Break (which was VERY busy!) and never really stood in much of a line at all! :thumbsup2 I'm sure I made this sound much more confusing than it really is! :rotfl2:

Hi Kevin.

Thank you for the safe sea link...again!

Also, I've recently discovered the photography board...you may want to ask over there about the tripod. That is a good question.
They have some terrific tips on how to take fireworks photos as well.

BTW, what kind of camera are you using? We're thinking about picking up a dslr before the cruise???!!! I'm not new to digital, but am very new to slr...

(I'm armyfam...not Tracker! Oh well....)

We have a Cannon Rebel XT (I think) ;) We bought it just about a year ago and LOVE it. It takes great pictures. (except when we had something on the lens and it left two splotches on every picture--not the camera's fault)

I do know it's much bulkier than the little digitals we've had. Requires a much bigger fanny pack. But then again, my fanny is bigger now, so it's all proportional!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hair with positive buoyancy??? Who would have thunk it??

I'll make sure I get some pictures of it in Cozumel!!! :woohoo:

Don't know about that, but I have a table-top tripod that travels well......would that work?

That's why I won't let Jordan have my Pentax....it's smaller than the Canon, so it still comes in handy. Like yesterday's mini-meet. I'll have both of them with me on the cruise...the Canon will stay on the ship, and the Pentax will come on excursions.
But when the "Moms" go to Barbados and St Kitts, the big one will be needed for the great scenery!

Gotta go....heading for the office. Forgot I was supposed to be the "boss" today. LOL...at least since no one's there, no one will know how late I am!

U T.O.P. !

Have a great day!

I love numbers. This was my personal post #9777 and the thread post #39797. All those "7"s.....maybe I should go to Vegas. NOT.

Actually, I think we have one of those. If I can get a spot by a wall or something to set it on that might work!!

Might have to dig that up just in case!

I really am leaving....I just couldn't resist this. At least someone in our family uses the treadmill!
