Good news for Kristin - she got a call from Boeing for a job interview. She's doing a phone interview on Tuesday so all PD would be appreciated! It's working for Boeing at NASA in Houston!!!! She is so excited - I really hope that she gets it. She wants to cruise with us - and is planning on saying she's out of the country until 06/03/06 - which is true.....

Going to go over some interviewing techniques with her this weekend.......

Gosh if no one has answered here is an update........so far as we have figured, they only let a certain number of ressie's for the entire cruise. Because we have so many repeat cruisers on this cruise and also it is fairly sold out, the Palo ressie's were all snatched up by about 3:15 am 90 days out...that is when repeat cruisers who are not Cat's 1..2..and 3 could book....so there are many of us who are "out of luck" like you. I was able to go on line and snag the Palo dinner but not brunch.....all the new cruisers who had to wiat fr 75 days out were completely out of luck...so there will be the mad dash to reservations when we board the ship and we will wait in line to see if we can get our ressies......This was the old system and it is not fun, stressful....but we "hear" that most folks will be able to get their ressie's. My two cents is that it might work for Palo's dinner but don't hold your breath for Palo's brucnh or high tea as we have 2 sea days and not 3 ..... When there are 3 sea days, I think there are enough times for all to be accomodated. I know that for the 4 day cruise, with 1 sea day, there are not....just not sure about the math for the 2 sea day. Confused yet

Last cruise we had our wine tasting party in the Roy suite...

It was nice and roomy...

Not that I am trying to invite myself and my 80 new friends...

But it was nice...

And the couple in the suite got to keep all the left over wine...

But no pressure.....

OK.... I posted this before I had read everything.... I really am kidding... Yall should enjoy it. Have a ball and don't even give a thought to all of us locked in the bowels of the ship.... OOPS! there I go again! JK...

Honestly if it were me I am afraid I would never come out of the room... That's why we won't do the 3 again... we spent alot of time just sitting in our room! Crazy!! Of course we also had a napping 2yr old...

Well, today I get to go with Lisa (and all of the gymnastic girls whose gyms have closed today for this event) to see the Movie "Stick It". It is suppossed to be a lot like the cheerleading movie "Bring it On". Lisa's new gym is even taking a bus to the theatre to watch it "en mass". I will just take Lisa to our theatre in town. Fran - Is Kelly's Gym going? I doubt there will be a whole lot in "the world of gymnastics" that these girls have done or seen. It should be fun. Sharon

You know, not to sound strange, but, I flatly refuse to put the life vest on for the drill... I made the mistake of looking inside the neck, and saw the brown stained interior from the previous users' sweat... since then I just carry it... LOL... I have looked at each one since and it is always the same story... eww...

So, I just picked up the birthday cake for soon to be 3 Nate. I paid $35.00 for a Mcikey shaped cake. It was very cute. I made the mistake of showing it to him. He wanted to see it, but we are going to sing HB until DH Steve gets home from work. Nate pitched a fit because he wanted some then. I gave in and gave him a taste of the frosting from the foot of Mickey. He was happy, he got a taste. I was happy he wasnt crying. I thought all was well. I was wrong.

I went to fiddle with my Ipod. The next time I see Nate, he has frosting all over his face. Oh no!!!!!!!! Did you get into that cake?? he looks at me very very guiltily..........I go to the fridge (buttercreme frosting) slowly open the box..I find Mickey has been decaptiated!!! His face has been eaten!!! I didnt even get a before shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no! A headless Mickey! Well, I'm sure this is one birthday you'll remind Nate of for a LONG time!

Ok, strange idea....but....I was thinking....let's say she sets the time for (hypothetically) Monday at 2:00 pm....
and then Sunday night she gets her Personal Navigator and she sees that DCL Basketweaving is at 2:15 on Monday!!! ACK!!!!!!! She's been waiting 5 years to do the DCL basketweaving class.

So......I propose....what if she picks a day (probably a sea day would work best) and then, after looking at her Navigator the night before, she picks a time that is good for HER.....And then puts a sticky note on her door with the time. That way, anyone who wants to go on the tour on that day can swing by in the morning, make a note of the time that she picked, and then make their plans accordingly.

Now, I would NOT have the note say "TOUR THE ROY SUITE AT 1:30 TODAY"....just a cryptic "1:30" or "out for now...back at 1:30, love DIS."

Does that make sense? Clear as mud? Since she is willing to do this for us I don't want it to interfere with HER fun. WE should be the flexible ones.

And boy oh boy, that basketweaving class is a do not miss!!!!!

Maybe little Nate will grow up to be a brain surgeon.....or a plastic surgeon!! And then you'll look back at this and it will be an ah-ha moment. I know you'd like to wring his neck, but remember two things....in a year you'll look back on this and laugh, AND....you must have an AWESOME bakery that makes cakes SOOOO good that ppl can't wait to "dig" in!!

See, DCL tells you you MUST put the life jacket on. Even though I don't *want* to, it's the rule. So I do. Otherwise what would I be telling my kids if I didn't wear it or if I didn't make them wear it.

Hopefully you won't mind when you hear my kids say "Look, Mom, that man is breaking the rules by not putting on his life jacket!" And whatever you do, don't ride your bike down our street without a helmet!!!

Our kids should meet... DD7 asked for a man's name once because he was taking towels with out signing at the towel cabana...

And DD13 used to lecture every smoker she saw until we made her stop... we were afraid some frustrated smoker might just smack her in the throws of a nicotine fit.
