I don't have ours either! My magic potion hasn't worked! :stir:

I'll be in Mobile again this weekend. We go there at least once a month for shopping since storm. My B/SIL live there, and it is our nephew's bday this weekend. My PILs are looking at possible moving there. They don't know exactly what area yet, but since they are living in my house, while large, it does have three young LOUD/ACTIVE children that live in it! I don't think that my DFIL will handle it for long!

Here is my potion to get rid of hurricanes. Everything along the coastline from Pensacola Florida to Louisianna (my stomping grounds) has been wiped these last two years and it's time for a break!!!! :wizard: Pixie Dust to you and your family

Your excuse is that I went to grad school while working full time and having two kids... YOU picked up the pieces!!!! (Thanks, hun!)

I think my most distinct memory of grad school was the day before our cruise in '01 ... first NICE day NH had seen... the whole family was outside playing... and I was locked in the bedroom, chained to the computer, packed suitcases all around me, trying to finish and e-mail a research paper before cruising. Dr K. INSISTED that I NOT bring any schoolwork on the cruise with us...

Those memories are exactly why I am having a hard time deciding if I really want to go back and my doctorate. Of course, then I think that time is going to pass and I am going to get old whether or not I do go back. My Master's only took up 1 1/2 years of my life, but my 3 kids were younger and not in to everything that they are now. Choices, choices.

I seem to remember that it snowed around your Graduation in MAY!!! Got to love that New England weather... Was I picking up the pieces of my brain???

Hey all,
Just thought I'd pass on the word. I heard from Jeri from Texas (Juletime) She's sorry she's been out of touch, but she's been working in Michigan 4-5 days a week. She's not allowed to use her work computer for personal things. Then when she gets home, she has to catch up on family stuff and household stuff.

But....she WILL be cruising with us and is looking forward to meeting up with everyone. :) :) :)

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: to the DIS, DiveMightyO!!!

Glad you found us. Glad to see you'll be cruising with us! :lmao:

Tell us a little about your sailing party!! :)

Are you planning any dives? There are a group of divers who have arranged some dive time. And BibbidiBobbidiBoo's husband is still looking for a dive partner if you don't have anything set up yet.

TWO WEEKS!! Can you believe it!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sadly, I'm the only one with a DIS name.

Ang

Which would make Bruce "MR.CajunGirl2" and DD's "LittleCajunGirl2's"

 Guess somebody's right-click button doesn't work.

Good Morning! Been up and at 'em for a couple of hours, thought I'd sit for a few.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for the DD. Her Dad gave her a special present, and she was totally bummed that it wasn't CAR KEYS! Ha. She watches too much TV, and should know better than that.
Sure, Kevin, you can call her "Beanie"...might be funny to see the look on her face... It's short for Beanie Baby, which is what I called her when she was tiny. And that was BEFORE they started making and selling Beanie Babies.

No DOCS here. I'm telling you, they aren't coming if DCL is sending them.
And someone tell Virgil to cry all he wants to. I'm still not speaking to him until he takes it back!

No shirts and bag yet, either, but I expect they'll show up today!! :sunny:

Ohminnie.....the two signs that I laminated, I just used the do-it-yourself- sticky kind. I had tried using the clear plastic sleeves, but I couldn't cut a straight line to trim them. I flunked my Basic Cutting and Pasting in Kindergarten.

Here's a cute graphic that I came across. I'm sure someone could easily modify it to put on text.

It's awesome what he accomplished and still made time for the family! :thumbsup2 Now, he's wandering around in the evenings like a lost little puppy - he doesn't quite know what to do without study material... :rotfl2:

I remember seeing / hearing that same thing from Jim many years ago. After 3 years of working on his MBA from Michigan at night while working full time, the weekend following graduation he had the nerve to say "I'm bored". What!!! After listening to many grumblings about all the things he wanted to do rather than go to school / study, find something. I think he started on some construction project - there were MANY of these over the years.

Sadly, my creativity is lacking. I'm attempting to work on a new door sign, but I did have fun playing with the picture posted here:

But just too cluttered, I think.

Stacey, that isnt too short... short is less than an inch long on top and shorter than that on the sides and back...

Just wash-n-go. Maybe a little bit of mousse

I spent my entire life with hair that short....swimming.....
After college, I decided I wanted to see what it would be like longer. Found out that my hair doesn't really get longer. So off and on, over the years, I've had it short-short, medium, semi-long. Nothing works well. It's too thin and baby-fine.
Tried the "Dorothy Hamill" once....looked totally ridiculous.
