Yesterday I had to take Sharon's car into the garage because the rear window would not go up. The garage called me laughing. They found a pink sandle in the mechanism. Wonder were that come from, Lisa.
Ouch! What did THAT cost??? :rolleyes1

Speaking of....how is your little booth going??

Not too bad, thanks for asking. I had a good first month, this month I'm struggling to make rent. I'm being told that April is slow, and things will improve a lot this summer. That would be good!

And yes, I've been working there one day a week, and working here a lot more. Need that income to pay for cruising!

Mickeymo, I have slow slow Dial up so sending pics are almost impossible. any other way to get them to you?

slow slow comp. gonna miss the T O P. Nope I made it.

Good evening ya'll. We only have 2 1/2 working weeks left. We started trying on our nicer dresses that we will be wearing. Casual clothes will be relatively easy. We live in scrubs on our work week.

Boards seem a little slow tonight.

BAG/SHIRT UPDATE!!

I went and met with the vendor again today. The bags are in, the shirts are supposed to be in tomorrow or Thursday. There is a slight problem on the bags. I am not sure I can describe, but I will try. The flap where we are supposed to put the imprint on is insulated. THis will be a problem for them to put the heat transfer on, because the top part will have shrinkage if they try to put more than one color on it. Anyway, she is looking at a couple of different options and is going to contact me again tomorrow with some ideas. One thing we looked at today was going with only one color and using this puff type of imprint. It would be raised off of the bag (it is really pretty cool and I actually like it better than a regular screen imprint). The only problem is the names would no longer fit in the cones so she is looking at doing the names on the bottom underneath the date, something like this:

May 27, 2006
Castaway Cay Cozmumel Costa Maya Castaway Cay
(with bullets dividing them)

Anyway, I will let you all know when I know more. The bags look great the the red and blue colors are awesome.

Thank you for the updates and all your hard work! Whatever you decide to do with the bags will be great, I'm sure.

Wow, I take a couple of days off of reading the boards and it takes a week to catch up! My DD had ear surgery on Monday. Supposed to be a routine thing--take out t-tubes; in and out in 15, but the dr found a growth behind the eardrum. That can be normal with numerous infections, but it was "irregular"(doc's word) He is 95% confident that it is nothing, but only 80% confident that he got it all out. Hmm, to the teacher in me, 80 is a C, not a stellar number. We go for a "head scan" soon, so I would appreciate all the prayers and PD you can send us. Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

April = Taxes = People spending less. Happens here, too. It'll pick up. July is also typically a slow month.

I know how that goes. Jeans, tennies and our logo polo to work every day. Even decent "casual" clothes are dressy for me!

Lots of prayers and pixie dust from me! Jared went through all that so many times......no fun. Just so you know, his hearing is now better than perfect. He hears everything we don't want him to, and not half of what we DO want him to! :listen: ;) Good luck!!

You won't believe what I was thinking about today....and it's no wonder it took me twice as long to do the Worker's Comp quarterly....my mind was wandering...

Anyway......I was already thinking about how I'll have to spend half of my last day at sea packing all the dirty clothes and souvenirs. I hate the thought of that, but I don't want to spend my whole last night (after Castaway Cay) packing. :sad2:

Okay, sorry, that was a stupid post and totally depressing.

I get to stay home tomorrow! Going to pack, going to DIS, going to make a list for the "baby" sitter..... and I think I'll gather some poison and fire-proof recipes. This sounds fun!

Hello everyone :wave2:

I just got home from the Jimmy Buffett concert :thumbsup2 It was a great show. Some of us Boy Scout parents were "volunteering". The only things we sold were margaritas, Corona, and kettle korn. That made the math easy! We ran out of everything but Kettle Korn about 15 minutes before last call. Of course, we were selling FOR the Boy Scouts, not TO the Boy Scouts :teeth: The stand next to us was manned by "volunteers" from a Catholic Church. We had a great spot - we were at the back of the lawn area just about dead center. We were able to wear hawaiin shirts so I wore one of DH's Mickey ones :goodvibes

A few days ago I finally figured out what the heck an autop is. I couldn't figure out why everyone kept misspelling a top! :goodvibes Either that, or what the heck is an auto p :teeth: Finally I got that u=unexpected. Just a little slow here. So - why is the Amanda Pin called the Amanda Pin and what is PDFQ (is that right?) that some people have in their signatures?

I think I can dredge up a couple of recipes too. I've been trying to cook more lately - cooking vs. heating up :goodvibes I did pretty well for a few months but a month ago I started reverting back to my old habits. Time to stop that!

Good night all.
Sherry

What if we're cooking challenged? DH and DS eat what I cooked and I haven't killed anyone yet, but I'm definitely no Julia Child. I suppose I could come up with a couple of things. Oh, wait. The library has loads of cookbooks. Does it have to be something that we've actually COOKED?:faint:

Here is another hint -- even though it is called a cookbook - you don't even need to "cook" it.....ok - ok - see prior post, mine was a salad.... :teeth:
