You miss a day, you miss a lot....miss a couple of days and it's impossible.

I've just been skimming a few pages for the last few days. Tonight I'm trying to catch up while at Matt's TKD. At least I have a glass of wine to keep me company.

Yesterday I had to take Sharon's car into the garage because the rear window would not go up. The garage called me laughing. They found a pink sandle in the mechanism. Wonder were that come from, Lisa.

Now you are sure it was not Matt :teeth:

And the Morning Top with Sir Scuba and Matt and maybe Lisa...
How fitting!!!!

Wow, I take a couple of days off of reading the boards and it takes a week to catch up! My DD had ear surgery on Monday. Supposed to be a routine thing--take out t-tubes; in and out in 15, but the dr found a growth behind the eardrum. That can be normal with numerous infections, but it was "irregular"(doc's word) He is 95% confident that it is nothing, but only 80% confident that he got it all out. Hmm, to the teacher in me, 80 is a C, not a stellar number. We go for a "head scan" soon, so I would appreciate all the prayers and PD you can send us. Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

Butting in so to speak...if DD is prone to ear infections would your MD be so inclined to issue you a prescription just in case she picks one up on the cruise. I was always in the water as a girl and always had ear infections....This would save a trip to the clinic....Just a thought ---butting out now.

Well this is embarrassing, we eat very simply. Lots of rice and fresh veggies. That is why we like to cruise so much, (that and our wonderful friends). My sister has a recipe for a spagetti dish. I will ask her for it.

Sue

Sue - I love rice and veggies so inlcude one of those please........ :goodvibes

Mickeymo, I have slow slow Dial up so sending pics are almost impossible. any other way to get them to you?

I feel your pain, dial up here also. Can't view pix either.

Good Morning All -

Irene - boil bag of brown rice, steam carrots and/or peas. That is it. Jeanne should not have salt, carbs, sugar..... I can never figure out why when we have healthy meals I can't get the weight off (cause I sneak from Jeanne)!

Ouch! What did THAT cost??? :rolleyes1

Nice garage and they felt sorry for me knowing what I must go through on a daily basis, covered under warranty. Apparently there is no stupidty exclusion.

I know how that goes. Jeans, tennies and our logo polo to work every day. Even decent "casual" clothes are dressy for me!

That is really dressing up. For me today is shorts, sandals, and a tropical shirt. Since the shirt has buttons I'm dressing up. :thumbsup2

If it was Matt than we have some bigger issues to deal with. :confused3

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Wednesday!

A rare treat for us - we're going out to eat tonight. Our Church is holding a fund raiser at Sweet Tomatoes. They get 15% I think of the money spent. So we are heading over there for dinner.

Got 2 more passports in the mail yesterday - Bruce's & Emily's. Now we're waiting on Ashley's.

We're waiting on Erin's too. I have a note to myself that if we don't have it by the beginning of May, I have to go get her a new birth certificate, because the original we have is with the PP application. I'm still hoping we get it in time, though...

A few days ago I finally figured out what the heck an autop is. I couldn't figure out why everyone kept misspelling a top! :goodvibes Either that, or what the heck is an auto p :teeth: Finally I got that u=unexpected. Just a little slow here. So - why is the Amanda Pin called the Amanda Pin and what is PDFQ (is that right?) that some people have in their signatures?

Sherry

Hi Sherry - I can help with your questions.

The Amanda pin is called that because Amanda was the first one to see it and buy it. She posted a picture and Stacey fell in love with it. Irene was next to cruise and picked it up for Stacey. Stacey then had the pin made into a pendant. Hence the name the Amanda Pin.

PDFG stands for Pixie Dust For GaRry. GaRry sailed with many of us in December 2004 and was supposed to be on this cruise but had to cancel. He is getting on the transplant list for a new liver. It started when we got tops that we would put pdfg to get him to the "top" of the transplant list. Then we decided that it was better for him to have pixie dust all the time!

Any stunning ideas for a Batmitzvah invitation???

I'm not at my computer (with all of my regular links), but I use Colors by Design for a lot of the invites/announcements I make. They have a section for Jewish events: link. If you find anything and want help with the printing, let me know!

I thought that was "teenies" when I first read it. :earseek: It's early, I read it quickly :lmao:

Great, I catch up to the end of the thread and realize I have a U TOP....shared with Stacey wearing teenies!! :lmao: :earseek: :rotfl2:

The type of ear infections she gets must be middle ear infections (hence the need for tubes)....which, may or MAY NOT, need an antibiotic (the current trend is to let some of the more asymptomatic ones go and they've found they get better on their own)

The ones you get from swimming all the time are outer ear infections caused by moist ear canals (bacteria love warm, darm, mosit)....those are treated with drops. The trouble is....figuring out on a cruise which ear infection it is. Of course, if you're desperate, there's always Mike. :)
