Well all this talk about rebooking another cruise had Mark and I realizing we didn't have any plans for 2007. We've been kicking around a number of ideas.

1) Book an Eastern cruise while onboard in May so that we could go back to St. Thomas. Ohiominnie already has an Eastern booked and we could stalk her and Mike. :rotfl:

2) Book a Western cruise while onboard in May so that we could go back to Grand Cayman and see the stingrays and turtles again. We have another friend booked on a Western.

3) Skip DCL and spend more time at WDW - something we aren't doing much this year.

4) Skip DCL and do Hawaii which is something we've wanted to do for a while now (first started talking about doing it for our 10th anniversary and we celebrate #16 this year).

After talking it over today we have decided on Hawaii! I've only been once and Mark hasn't been at all. So the plan is to spend a week on Oahu and do the true tourist stuff (the Arizona, Polynesian Cultural Center, etc.).

That is the only trip we are planning at this time. We are keeping our options open for whatever special event DVC may have planned as well (since we really enjoy those cruises and special events).

Good thing we have the DVC cruise planned for October - otherwise I think it would be really hard to get off the ship and not have another cruise planned!

We were talking about going to Costco today, but didn't make it. Wonder if they have the Swavroski figurines at ours?

Good pictures, Stacey. Yes, a little small. That isn't Jared batting, is it? I remember his legs being longer than that!

I was thinking that, too, when I looked at the picture. I think it's just the way he has his legs bent.
Some parents on the other team were sitting behind me talking about him. They didn't know that Jay & I were his parents.
His division has 10 to 12 year olds....but because of the way they do the cutoff for birthdays, some kids are only 9. They were talking about how big Jared is, and how dangerous it is for the "little boys" to have kids Jared's age out there. I didn't say anything, but I wanted to tell them that he's only 12...and wasn't eligible to move up a division...according to League rules. Otherwise, we would have moved him up.

I discovered a place in Cave Creek that sells Swarovski. Saw their ad in the paper. I will NOT go in there. That would not be good. I'll stick to collecting a piece when we go on vacation....that way, they each mean something.
The Disney ones are really tempting, but too expensive.

Monica, I don't think I ever sent you anything. How do you want them? Post them here or email to you?

Ang

whichever is easiest for you...I've been saving them as they've been posted - or you could e-mail them to me...

I saw Huey Lewis several years ago and they put on a fabulous show. You will love them.

I saw them in 1988. I remember the year b/c I went with my sister and she was about 8 1/2 months pregnant. To this day her son like's Huey Lewis! :)

Now that the kids are older, it is just not as much fun as when they were little.

Here here! And now they won't even EAT the eggs they color b/c they are TOOO beautiful and they dont' want to crack the shells!!! So now I have a dozen hard boiled, but beautiful, eggs in my fridge.

At Christmas, I splurged and got the crystal etched ship. But one of my absolute favorites are the Mickey Wish Pearl necklaces. But then, I'm addicted to Wish Pearls and The Pearl Factory. It's just so much fun to open an oyster and be surprised at what you get.

Mine is the Mickey pearl necklace. Pearl necklace with the Mickey icon done in pearls. Luckily I didn't have to pay for that myself....my parents got it for me for my birthday on the 10 day cruise. You'll all see it....it always makes it's appearance on formal night. :)

They've always been just long enough to reach the ground. So that picture must be him.... :lmao:

SEE....I always knew it was YOU stalking US and not the other way around!

but....but...but...what happens in October and you have to get off the ship????

Actually, I'm not sure we're cruising next year either. We have the reservation, but we've been talking (prompted by Mary's asking what we were doing next year) and we may just be doing a two week Disney trip. Although Mike did say "I know you'll miss your friends." AWWWWWW

Awwww.....I hate sick kids (good thing I became a pediatric nurse, eh?)

Angie, hope Ashley is feeling better tomorrow. :( Poor little thing.

sounds like me as a kid though....I was always sick on holidays. :confused3

Dinner was a little crazy tonight. It's been so beautiful the kids talked me into making pie molds ( www.minutepiemold.com ) So I got the stuff and had all the wood out to make the fire.....

and couldn't find my pie iron!!!! ACK!!! Searched everywhere. Can't find it. Our best guess is we left it at Mike's dad's house on Halloween when they had a cookout and I made about 30 pizza and cherry pies! Luckily we go there tomorrow and I'll see if they have it!

Either that or I'm going to have to order some more from my dad (and he'll give me the family discount--which is usually 10% more than they are listed for!)

when we were young, my mom carefully pinholed the egg shells and blew out the yolks and the whites. My brother and I were never big fans of hard boiled eggs - so we'd have a ton of scrambled eggs every Easter...She still puts out the eggs we colored from waaaayyy back when...

Oahu is nice for a been there done that - we went to Hawaii for the first time in 2004 - spent a week on the big Island, which we loved and then a week on Oahu...I'll look up the tour we went on for the Arizona and the military bases, it was fantastic!!! It was basically the entire December 6th day and the stragic bases involved in the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The Cultural center is very nice, too...Also a highlight...

Home of the Brave tours... http://www.pearlharborhq.com/ Definitely a Must do....

Wow. see, that is so not me. I'll be like "hey, kids, can we get rid of these yet?"

I do remember pinholing the eggs and blowing them out for other reasons, but not to color them.

So you colored them FIRST, then pinholed them?

I went to Hawaii in high school (summer of 1985---two weeks Europe, two weeks Hawaii, two weeks Florida!)

We did Oahu for about a week and then split a week between Maui and Kauai.

It was all beautiful and I've got some great memories (especially the one where I pinched that manequin's butt---but it turned out not to be a manequin!)

Worst memory was the call from my sister on our second to last day....my grandpa had died. :( It was definitely NOT a fun flight home. :(

More on Home of the Brave tours...

Found out about the tour company from a retired miltary wife - most of their business is retired military...it is the only company that the tour guide is allowed onto the Arizona...They pick you up very early in the a.m. to get you onto one of the first two waves of the Arizona...Very little wait time... Plus a tour of the outlying air bases and lunch at Schofield air base...well worth the $....

I don't remember...I think she pinholed them first...I think I was still in grade school...

Mary, I've never checked.....does DVC go to Hawaii? Is that what you're thinking of doing???

Hard choices, but you made a good choice.
We are going with number 3, we haven't done that for a couple of years, wehave been so busy cruising, on average 3 a year so 2007 we may do 1 and then WDW more.
