Mary, I've never checked.....does DVC go to Hawaii? Is that what you're thinking of doing???

Karen - you can go to Hawaii via II but the week long trade outs are on the other islands. On Oahu there are some concierge level hotels but not worth our DVC points. We'll be spending cash for this one and hope to use our points for a DVC event or a week in Fall at WDW.

Actually, I'm not sure we're cruising next year either. We have the reservation, but we've been talking (prompted by Mary's asking what we were doing next year) and we may just be doing a two week Disney trip. Although Mike did say "I know you'll miss your friends." AWWWWWW

It's Easter so I will be kind.

You can alwasy come our way for part of your two week Disney Trip. The kids would love to see you. ;)

And I got an Easter morning top with OM.

Beautiful day in Northern Florida too. After church I get the pleasure of driving to WDW to pick up Matt. While I'm on WDW property I need to pick up a post card.

This will be the first opportunity for our family to have dinner at home together in several weeks so we are doing that. Passed up Stonewoods for crab cakes and NY strips.

The bunny did not come last night so no candy to eat. Maybe Lisa will make Creme Brule for tonight. :thumbsup2

Have a good Easter.

My sister has gotten into egg decorating. Some pretty fancy designs with very intricate work. She does all the work first and then removes the insides. Seems like it would be easier that way.

I toyed with the Ukranian Easter egg decorating in high school. One of my friends was Ukranian and she got me started. Unfortunately, I'm not artistic and my eggs weren't that good. I guess, in hind sight, they were good for a beginner, but I had set higher standards for how they'd turn out and they didn't come anywhere close!! :)

Except if it gets damaged while pricking or blowing then there goes all the hard work!!!

Plus wouldn't your lips turn colors from all of the dye???

Eggs-actly my wishes, too. It was fun to watch 25 yo DD and 11 yo DS coloring eggs together yesterday, and even more fun to watch the 2 of them combing the house for the 40 plastic eggs that the EB hid last night. Some 'kids' just never get too old. There are still 2 or 3 eggs that haven't been found; probably will show up around cruise time.

when we were young, my mom carefully pinholed the egg shells and blew out the yolks and the whites. My brother and I were never big fans of hard boiled eggs - so we'd have a ton of scrambled eggs every Easter...She still puts out the eggs we colored from waaaayyy back when...

Jim will be so happy to hear that I found someone else who did that! He said his mom always emptied the eggs, but he doesn't remember how. (And we're Jewish, so we're not much help in that arena.) I'll have to tell him it was blowing. We'd joked that she'd SUCKED it out!

Happy Easter all! The Easter bunny visited Erin on Friday (with a big basket of sweets from a friend of my parents'), and Jim yesterday (with a PlayStation 360). What fun... We also had our sedar last night, complete with the four glasses of wine. If that doesn't make for a good dinner with my family, nothing will! Had the requisite "when are you having another baby" spiel from my 91-year-old grandmother (uh, one-and-done, baby, one-and-done! But I'll cut her some slack because of her age) - another glass of wine helped us deal with that one.

Today, it's hanging out with the 'rents, maybe dying some eggs (my mom never did it with me, but it's amazing what she'll do for a grandchild!), going for a visit to my piano teacher, and then home in time to do a gazzillion loads of laundry. Ah... weekends.

HAPPY EASTERHope everyone has a great Easter. I did something really dumb. I bought the kids $25 gift cards from WDW. Well -- I left them in the sack on my nightstand and I think the housekeeper threw them away. I have looked high and low and nothing. I really hate blowing $50.

Oh, that stinks! I hope you find them... Did you keep the numbers? Maybe they can be replaced?

What a bummer! So sad to lose anything like that....... :guilty:

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
Hope all have a great day, whatever holiday you celebrate. It's another gorgeous day here in NY. Yesterday was just too much. I had to get shorts out.

Gotta go to church now. Have a good day.

See ya all later.

Unfortunately, the gift receipts with the numbers were in the bag with the cards. I am so upset with myself. I tell the kids all the time to put their stuff away before the housekeeper comes and then go and look what mom does. I am holding out hope that maybe I took them to my office and they are there, but I sure don't remember doing that. Of course, my memory is not the
greatest;)

We are waiting for MIL to arrive because she is going to church with us this morning and then out to lunch.

Got any you want to get rid of? :teeth: I know I just said that I was going to only collect them on vacations, but I'd be willing to help a friend who needed to get rid of some.;)

Sorry Mom and DH gave me mine so they have sentimental value even thought I quit telling DH I wanted them.

On the other board they were talking about tie dye shirts and some had blue B**bs from the dye, imagine her with blue hands and lips too!!!

I had a gift card for $50.00 which I was going to use for Maggianno's with the kids and a $20.00 Disney store one on the kitchen table, that afternoon I came to get them and GONE!!! Have looked for them for weeks and never found them!!! Strange!!!
