Good Morning All - We now cruise with an over-the-door shoe holder. Somehow another pair of shoes appears with every cruise.

Today is the day I should hear if I got THE JOB. I applied to the company that provides landside service to Royal Caribbean in Baltimore. Only every other Sunday and Friday, very few grumpy passengers getting on and most in a rush to get off.

Sue

Good Luck with the phone call today.

With only 2 of us, I opted for the "makeup" over the door holder, smaller than a shoe holder and will still hold the glasses, sunscreen etc etc.

What I purchased last trip that I will NEVER sail without again, is a collapsible net hamper -- lime green -- of course.....then all the dirty clothes get stuffed into a duffle, which we bring with us as an "extra piece of luggage". This leaves the suitcase free for all the souveniers,,,,,,,!!!!! :)

Another "must pack" for us, we learned from the DIS - is the suction cup hooks to hang swim suits in the bathroom :thumbsup2

Looky there - A top with the whole darn DIS family.... :cool1: :cool1:

We don't bother with the hamper. We bring the duffle and then just put that in the closet to hold the dirty clothes and then zip it up and bring it home. :)

Same here. We just open up the duffle and put it on the floor of the closet. Then when it's packing day all we do is zip it closed. Voila! :)

I never leave home without my collapsible hamper. We always have to do laundry before coming home because we try to combine with a trip at WDW either before or after the cruie. they sure come in handy. I already have my shoe holder and a smaller one for the bathroom area. Now I just have to find them.:goodvibes

BBB -- hope you are feeling better! Don't worry about the weight thing, I think a lot of us are in that same position. I really need to lose about 20 pounds before the cruise and I am not sure it is going to happen. Goal for today, stick to atkins, it always works.

I think the mesh duffle is a good idea Irene!! Although we already carry one for the scuba gear.

Ah but if I only had 20 to lose..... I'd be happy. LOL Ditto on the atkins- I just have to get my mindset to do it!

Thanks! Still have the cough- it's taken up residence. I think it's because we're passing around some virus, or something, from person to person in this household. I can't get over it- I'm "re" getting it because the kids are passing it from one to another. LOL

I think it is perfectly fine for little boys to wear shorts and a nice shirt (either knit or cotton) to dinner. They need to be comfortable. Probably not on formal night, I think that calls for long pants...but I've seen a lot of cute little boys in cute little short outfits.

So, you think it's fine if they were a pair of Docker shorts with a polo/camp shirt? Great. I don't think they'll go for the long pants all the time.

John complained about packing the shoe holders for our first Disney Cruise (he thought I was crazy for spending so much time on the boards) - takes up too much room, blah blah...

About 2 days in he thought they were the great especially for all the stuff that accumulates. One for stuff and one for shoes (he's the one who chooses and packs my 10-12 pairs....;) This was the first time we cruised with the kids and the little stuff just multiplies so fast...

Monica - did you have 2 shoe holders or just 1? And, if you had 2, where did you put them?

My DH says the same things about the DIS, but I'm sure he'll have the same reaction.

Thanks.

Good morning everyone,

2nd day of Spring break. Havin loads of fun. Thank God it's nice outside. The boys are getting dressed to go outside and play. Me, I get to clean their bathroom. Yiipppeee!!!! I know y'all are jealous.

We're having Easter on Saturday instead of Sunday cause my in-laws all live at least 3 hours away and it's a more relaxed meal/day if they don't have to leave early on Sunday. So, I don't know what to make to eat. Either prime rib or fresh ham? Any suggestions? We're going to be 11 adults/2 kids. Prime rib is on sale this week - $3.99/lb. I'm swaying towards that.

Good Morning All,

It is such a nice day here. Lots of sunshine and warmer temps.

Liz :sunny:

I finally have a little bit of free time and my wife decided which shore excursion to do on Cozumel. So, I log into the DCL website to change our one-day CC package to the 2 day CC excursion package. It will only let me sign my wife up for the 2 day package. Keep in mind that my wife and I are signed up for the exact same things on CC for both days. But the computer still won't let me sign myself up for the package. :badpc: I try to sign us up for the excursion on Cozumel, and the opposite happens...I cannot sign my wife up for the excursion, but I can sign myself up! No conflicts at all! Somehow I doubt that there is only one remaining set of snorkeling gear/bicycle/floats at CC! And I doubt that there is only one seat remaining on the Cozumel excursion. :confused3 I called DCL last night (right around their quitting time) and was promised a call back today. We will see what happens.

Sorry about the rant, but I had to blow off a little steam. Anyone else having problems like this?

BTW, we are doing (trying to do anyway) the San Gervasio Ruins excursion too! Should be a lot of fun.

Paul

I'm with you on the Atkins. I am trying so hard to stick to it today. I was bad yesterday when I was at home sick. So, today is a new day. I have noticed that it is working but then I'll cheat and since there are still girl scout cookies in the house, I treat myself to a couple. Some days I have absolutely no will power. :rolleyes1

Yes...absolutely. It's definitely not something to fuss over, and not worth fighting with them, either. We're on vacation doggone it, it's supposed to be FUN! ;)

I agree completely. Nobody will mind that children are wearing shorts, and if they do, so what? RELAX and have fun! :earboy2:
