Our refunds showed up late last week too.
Already spent them.

Just like when Mike hands me his paycheck every two weeks and I say "I already spent it." ;) Usually that means, by the next paycheck it will be gone. But not always. :(

Save some so drink's can be on you too!!! :rotfl:

Yeah, if repeating stories is a problem, then I'm in trouble!! I have a really bad memory. I'll be telling someone a story and they'll say "I know, I was there, remember?" uh...no.

Mike's grandma has it bad. On Christmas Eve she leaned over to her daughter and pointed around the room and said "Do you know any of these people that are here? Who are they?" uh...grandma...your kids and grandkids and great grandkids. It's just so sad to see her. In her glory days she was a tightrope walker or a trapeeze artist (I mix up Mike's grandma and grandpa....one was one, the other the other) Yes, Mike comes from circus people. I did NOT know that before we married!!!

And it looks like he may have married a circus family  :lmao:

Update from one of my November cruisers on Cozumel - since I do not know how to link a thread, I will cut and paste

Just back from my 4 day cruise. Cozumel is in ok shape. We spent 2 hours with a local taxi driver riding around the island looking at what is open and how the island looks.
A few of the beaches are in pretty good condition - Paradise Beach is in excellent shape and it's free to get it! The snorkeling and diving was "amazing" from what the people that did it told me.
In town, the main shopping area is pretty much back to normal.
Most of the hotels are still closed - a few have just recently (like in the past 3 weeks) reopened. Parts of roads are totally wiped out - the docks are pretty much under water and not expected to be rebuilt for at least a year. We saw no one even working on them when we were there - and as the local guy said, everything is slow to get fixed. In his opinion, they are in better shape than the mainland - he said the Cancun area is filled with a lot of crime - he won't even take the ferry over there anymore.
The people of Cozumel are desperate for visitors to start filling the streets again. They said a "good" day used to consist of 7-10 ships in port - now a good day is 4. There were only 2 when we were there on Saturday - and they said some days they only have 1.
Tendering was easy - took quite a while to fill up the ferry from the ship to shore, but the way back was fast.

I edited her last line -----she said it was a good day trip.

Sounds like they may be in beter shape than before!!

Sorry that is just so not my favorite Island!!!

I have to o take DD to Jazz in a little, actually DH normally oes but I want to go shopping while she's there, guess he finally figured I spend less if I stay home and he does the schlepping.

I had a long day, read a brief for the appelate court for a friends caseand it was long and a hard read and sad to see how the justice system really works!!! :confused3

Who was it that said they wanted cruise music???

There is no way I'll get you a list of all the music...there is just too much.
Let's do it the easy way.
PM me your address and I'll send something your way.....uh...but don't tell anyone where you got them!!

Not sure if I've shared this one with the group before. My Grandmother was 92 when she had her 2nd stroke and we had to put her in a nursing home. My mom or I would visit her every day. Most days she was good at knowing us but sometimes not. One Saturday I was out with my girlfiend who asked if we could stop by and see my Grandma. So we get there and my Mom is sitting out with my Grandmother under a big old shade tree. I go to my Mom's car, take out two more lawn chairs and bring them over. So as not to embrass my Grandmother I say to her "Grandma you remember Karen don't you?" She looks at me and says "Of course I remember Karen!". We spend a short time visiting and then I take Karen inside to see her room and put some flowers we brought in water. As we walk away my Grandmother turns to my Mom and says "Who's that pushy girl with Karen?" :lmao:

Mary,

Your story is too funny!!! I just love it.
I just can't keep up with all of you and hope that anything "cruise-related" wasn't too important for me to read.....!!!! ;)

We are all looking forward to dining near the early diners. We can hardly wait to make the drive down from CT to FL...we'll start a few days early so we can make a couple of stops in VA before hitting Cape Canaveral on Friday night.

Hope you all have a great night!

Susan - the only major thing we've had cruise related is that the order form for t-shirts and bags is up on our web site. Deadline to order is April 7th. We do try and keep the important stuff up on the site. :) The other cruise related thing is Stacey made a cute little magnet featuring Scoopie and Mark & I are going to make business card size versions for every DIS cabin. No need to ask for it - we're putting them in the button bags.

See now I expected you to come back and say something like "that's what my Dad said to Mike the first time we sailed with the DIS group". :rotfl:

Ok, Ok, I MUST get the picture from my dad of the guy we saw in St. Martin. Hopefully he'll be able to email it to me. (this is technologically out of his realm of understanding, but I'll try)
Not on Orient Beach....... :scared1: :scared1:

Thanks for all the PD and prayers. I have dreaded the day when I have to sit down and discuss moving with your Mother --- (the opposite side of the conversation you'all posted about with daughters (mermaid movie)....anyway, I had hoped we would never need to have this discussion and she could stay in her home forever....it is looking like that might not be possible...and there is no real interening medical reason, like a fall, that might push the issue forward. That is what is so sad, in a way.....depressing too.....I won't post what lead up to this, sufficie it to say, we discovered it this weekend. If I cannot sleep, I can't imagine what she is going through......

Just downloading an article about talking to aging parents about a life style move!!!!
