I was wondering if they were going to do that. Both Princess and Norwegian had thinner life jackets. It didn't seem nearly as bad wearing those. Actually, we didn't wear them on Princess at all. They had us carry them to our muster station, and then gave a demonstration of how to put them on.

Have to love Princess they really know how to treat us Dis people like the princess's we are!!! :rotfl2:

I just watched them handcuff the guy to the treadmill - that is what I need to do!!!! :rotfl2:

ETA: on biggest loser.

Too Funny -- Think I will have hubby move my treadmill back into my bedroom so I will exercise while I watch my nightly soaps.:confused3 :rotfl2:

I should be posting tomorrow with some more info on the bags. Will let you all know.

I still have not gotten any cruise packet. I really really want one now!!!

Ohiominnie, thanks for the update. Glad to hear that at least they know what is going on.

Next time go to UofM ER. They might get you in and out a lot quicker. :lmao:

Yeah, I'm sure they would!! I'd hate to think of the condition he'd be in though! :)

OM - Oh the power of prayer!!! He knows the details and our intentions and works through the Physicians even without us knowing the specifics...Just did a bit of research on Mike's diagnosis to try to figure out what it is...A quick search and scan through an article - there's a lot of information out there... Thank you for the update...Keep us posted as much as you can.

He did tell me today that in his research he found some internet support groups for ppl with thoracic outlet syndrome.

I told him if he wanted a support group he should come to the DIS....that he shouldn't hang out on boards that will emphasize his problems, but play to his fun side! ;)

Karen - I said that prayer last night. Dear God please let Ohiomickey have a fat pad! Isn't God wonderful when he answers! :grouphug:

Well, He always answers....just sometimes it's "no."

We taught that lesson to the kids when KT kept asking God for a pony....

"Honey, God ALWAYS answers prayers....just sometimes it's no"

That backfired when we were lost in a nature preserve place and it was getting dark....yes, we had no map....at that point I was starting to look around for shelter and good berries to get us through the night. We told the kids that now would be a good time to start praying that God would show us the way out before the sun went down...

to which KT said...."but Mom, sometimes God says NO" Grrrrr.

AH, that brings back memories....

We went to OSU hospital today. State run. So that's where all the prisoner's go. I saw many a convicts come in today handcuffed and leg shackled to their gurney's.

And more cops with guns than I've seen in a LONG time!

brought back memories for Mike too.....b/c during med school he was assigned to Surg1....trauma and prisoners

ok, off to bed. :)

night all. thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

I must be the biggest loser, because learning that news of our bags is on its way got ME all excited!

Kevin...you came up with the info faster than I did.. this is what I found...still haven't found the "sticky" lenses

Scroll all the way down the page to see more

http://www.diversdiscount.com/resources/frameset-search.asp
The sticky lenses are mainly for gauge and computer readers. (like us "old folks") The don't really cover much of the mask surface and would limit the use for someone with a single vision correction. For a youngster I would recommend getting the right diopter lenses in the mask. That way they can see just as good with the mask as their glasses.

I never really thought of us as a Support Group, but I guess we are. Cheaper than a shrink, too.

I did go to Dillard's. They had a ton of suits...can't wear a jacket, they just don't flatter me. And they had quite a few formals...but it seems that no one has just plain old dresses. Unless it's leopard print or lace. And that just doesn't say "funeral" to me.
I went to Dress Barn...zip
Kohl's...zip
Robinson-May...zip

I was also going to get a wedding gift for our friend's son at Robinson's. But our Robinson's doesn't have a gift registry anymore. I'd have to go clear into town. No thanks....I'll go online!
I guess I was really striking out today.

The little dog went to the groomer....now he looks like a GIRL! And they sent him home in a purple bandana. Reminded me of one of those TeleTubbies!

Maria...yes, Jay and I renewed our vows last Christmas during the 10 night cruise. We had the ceremony on the beach at the Southernmost Point in Key West. Best day of my life! Well...the day the kids were born were good, too.....

:thumbsup2 Kevin and Stacey

You guys came through. Now I just have to decide if it's worth getting a 9 year old a mask that won't fit in a year. I'll have to see how little she can really see when her glasses are off.

I'll still look for the site that has the sticky things. I know they're out there somewhere.

Here's my little Teletubbie...all he needs now is a purse!

Susan, this is what I was thinking of....since they attach to the inside of sunglasses, I don't see why you couldn't try them in a mask.

Also, I was going to tell you that Jordan and Jared have used the same masks for almost four years. Jared was 8 when he got the one he's still wearing. He's outgrown two pair of fins since then, though!

And that, my dear, is why I don't bother responding to dive questions any more. It's not that I don't have the information or know the answer, but Kevin will pull it out quickly and it will be complete.

He does a great job answering the questions and providing the information so I let him.

It also makes him feel good and he needs that. :stir:
