Got it, I think.....Since Mothers DVD/VCR broke and "life as we know it would come to an end if it was not replaced", I was lucky to find one on sale at K-Mart very compatible with her TV set.

Life, as we know it, is now Good.....small things do make a difference.....

Think falls under the "if Mother's not happy no one's happy" rule... :lmao:

Okay...another question....hang in there, it's long.

We are what, 121 days from sailing? I have been making my packing list, and in order to make that list, I have to make my list of what I am wearing to dinner each night.[\QUOTE]

Packing list --- packing list --- I am still on excursion list and what city will I be in and will I be near a computer when it is time for reservations on-line.....

What do you guys think about all of us wearing our Double Scoop shirts to dinner the first night? With Dockers or a skirt? [\QUOTE]

Sounds :cool1: to me.........if we are in parrot cay!!!!!!

OR....my second thought was.....will they feel a little too scroungy after all day, a sailaway party, and a lifeboat drill???[\QUOTE]

Nah, I will smell like :rose:

Then again, if I finally get off my fat be-hind and lose weight, I'll have to re-do the entire list.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

And that is a bad thing? :rotfl2:

Yes. I've been back at the office full time since the beginning of the year. I certainly do feel a lot better since I am now out of the hard brace (1 week now).

Great News - Great News....

Who has a packing list that they are willing to share with me??? Or is there one somewhere on the boards? Are all of you early packers? I'm not. But I guess I need to start figuring out what clothes wer'e all going to need. I'll probably have to buy clothes for the girls. I need to try on all of my clothes ... not sure if they'll fit or not since I still have "pregnant" belly from surgery. Emily actually told me the other night that I look pregnant. That's NOT what I wanted to here ... especially from a 5 year old!!! Guess I need to call the nurse to see if there are any toning exercises that I'm allowed to do. I don't want to look pregnant when I'm not!

I'm always interested in a on-point packing list.

We were never early packers, but I think we will be this time, at least moving back our packing schedule so we are not as stressed.

So, pack all dive gear, cameras. batteries film. 4 nights before. But check the #$^^%*#$%% to make sure they work. One jammed last cruise.

Pack formal, semi-formal, pirate wear 3 nights before....with all fru-fru. And dive gear.

And pack real clothes, kits, etc 2 night before.

Goal this cruise is to relax the night before.

Plus there is the house to get ready and animals to clean for the house sitter etc.

Butting in on your tumy issue - perchance could it be that you are not yet used to standing up straight?

Nope ... used to standing up straight ... the hard brace made sure of that!

On the subject of packing ... how many suitcases does everyone take? I feel this is going to be a SORE subject with DH. He likes to pack light. We only own one large & one smaller suitcase. We can usually pack our clothes in the large one and girls' clothes in the small one. But, I feel this cruise is going to put a wrench in that. What to do? What to do? Now that I think of it, I do have a garment bag & another smaller suitcase that were mine before we got married. They are tucked in the bottom of my closet SOMEWHERE. But, they don't have wheels ... the HORROR! (Hopefully dr. says I still can't carry luggage come May 27).

The sticky lenses are mainly for gauge and computer readers. (like us "old folks") The don't really cover much of the mask surface and would limit the use for someone with a single vision correction. For a youngster I would recommend getting the right diopter lenses in the mask. That way they can see just as good with the mask as their glasses.

Who you callin' OLD???

How about a whole bunch of little stickies..all over the mask...huh? Didn't think of THAT, did you??? Of course not, you're smarter than me.....

AMEN to that......Jordan is home sick today too. Her throat again. Seeing the doctor this afternoon. I have my fingers crossed that he won't say she needs her tonsils out. They don't do that anymore, do they??? She'd never make it, she is too big a wimp. And I'D never make it...listening to her.

MARY.....FEEL BETTER.....chicken soup....rest....read the DIS....That's truly Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Little kids, little clothing. I remember the blessing of those days!
Everyone here is "issued" their own suitcase. So that's four....plus another one to put dive gear and toiletries into. Jay used to carry on the dive bag...but he got tired of hauling it around. So we usually have a total of 5...plus a few carry-ons.

You can find new luggage online fairly cheap anymore. I wouldn't try to do it w/o wheels.
Here's where I bought my set...

Stacey, those stickies are so you can READ. Kids don't have that problem, remember? One good thing, kids heads don't grow that much, they're almost adult size when pretty little. Prescriptions do change, we've replaced Alicia's optic mask with a stronger one once. I use her old one. Which made me think, wonder if some people sell their "outgrown" ones on Ebay? Bingo! I searched for "optical mask" and found five of them, several were new, all under $50.

VERY COOL! Must look for Jared! Thank you..... to Kevin's feminine side!

So are you saying is he getting in touch with his femine side?

Maybe he is just talking about his woman. I'm the one that usually books the cruises. And yes, that $3000 savings is planned for.

We are kind of like Stacey's family, but the new 50 pound weight restriction is going to throw a loop into our plans. Alicia gets a medium size bag for her everyday clothes (not enough), Kevin and I share a large one. The scuba gear did all go into one specialty bag, but it has to be split up now due to weight. Then there's the garment bag for formal wear, and some shoes. So it used to be four for the three of us, I'm guessing it's going to be six this time. Plus carryons. Wrangling luggage is by far the worst part of our trips.

I'm sure I will be re-doing my list a million times between now and the cruise. I guess if I have to make a new list because I've lost weight, then that would be a GOOD thing. Duh.

We'll be in Animator's the first night......maybe we should change our clothes....::yes::

Having the extra kid at least gives us another pair of hands to wrangle the luggage.....but it also adds that extra bag or two!
