Attention Floridians:

I saw a weather warning today when looking at the forecast for the Florida weather for the weekend. This one had me concerned for a bit, then just plain amused!!

RED FLAG WARNING!!

Am I clear, this means the humidity is below 35%????? So now they need a warning to advise folks when the humidity dips?? :earseek: :rotfl: I was thinking it was for hard blowing winds or something........

Kevin, this is the warning you should be afraid of:

SMALL CRAFT SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION

This has been posted for today and tomorrow.

Have a great dive tomorrow. :rotfl:

FYI - Anyone who has DiscoveryHD, there's a "Behind the Scenes" at WDW show on right now....

Now I'm bummed that I didn't stay up and check the boards. I'm pretty sure we get that channel. Was it good?

No kidding!! :earseek: We all like to exercise, but I'm staying away from that caution dude!! :teeth:

I'm going to call Capt. Tony when we arrive in Ft. Lauderdale and see how things are shaping up.

The Key Largo forecast didn't look that bad! Think calm winds everyone!!

I have to say, I don't miss those days. I remember driving home from Lincoln (NE) when I was in college. Thanks to the ice on the windshield, I had one small circle to see out of, directly where the defrost was blowing, and I had the wipers going.

Sounds familiar... when I was a freshman in college, Dad came to pick me up in his 4WD truck... it took us 7 hours to make a 2.5 hour trip home... I distinctly remember being on the Massachusetts Turnpike, with Dad holding onto my feet while I hung out the passenger window trying to clear the ice off the windshield wipers. We didn't dare stop, for fear of getting wiped out by one of the semi's that were all over the road.

It was OK... I don't think there was anything that I hadn't heard before... but, that never stops a DIS'er from watching any show about WDW

Sorry! Maybe this will make you feel better...the other song that's been going through my head ( and I'm sure it's because we'll be there next week for our cruise) is the one that goes "Houston...Houston means that I'm one day closer to you"

You're going out of Houston for your cruise? At the port or Galveston?? I think I missed something along the way - hmm - what does that say for the cruise industry marketing when a Houston resident, forgets that people actually do cruise out of here...

Irene,

I have to laugh about your missing presents - my mom is so organized that she purchases presents as she sees them and then hides them until Christmas time...Historically, after presents have all been opened and she's surveying the piles she will inevitable say - hmm - there's a few missing, now where did I put them...then she'll go digging around in various closets and bit later pull out a few more packages...

now that she mails our gifts I miss that annual "tradition" - another favorite Christmas memory was the year Santa must have dipped a little too much into the egg nog and mixed up all of our stocking presents...

We had a year here where there was a backordered item that came in a day or two after Christmas. I believe it was a gameboy game or something like that(something small). Well a couple days after Christmas it showed up in a corner of the fireplace.....Santa must have dropped it and we hadn't noticed it there!!! :rotfl2:

poking a stick at someone isn't considered exercise!

My best missing presents story is the neighbors. We all grew up together - they were 3 boys, one my age, one older, one younger. Well one Christmas we were all together and Santa had left presents under the tree. Santa always got confused and left a present for me there as well. We were having a good time with piles of gifts but the younger boy had nothing, nothing at all.

Well, Santa must have forgotten. The parents were agast. It seems that older brother had hidden all the presents in the garage. Poor kid.....It is cute now, was sad then....I still remember his face --- :goodvibes :) :confused3 :bitelip: :rolleyes2  :sad1: :scared: :( :faint:

Sue, I can't tell you how many times I have been startled when walking into our garage. Looks like some guy is hanging upside down in there. You would think I'd be use to it by now.

Santa question ... does he wrap the gifts or not??? Our Santa doesn't wrap.

Ang

Santa wraps for our kids the same way he wrapped for my presents when I was a kid... ONLY using paper with BIG pictures of his face on it... (and some years, it takes a lot of searching for him to find "HIS" paper.)
