Kiki, you strike me as someone that doesn't sleep much, maybe Elizabeth takes after you?

Hi Amanda! :wave2: The Dr. said no scoliosis, so much for Dr. Ballet Teacher. We lightened her backpack, and got her to sit straight when she's on the computer, and she hasn't been hurting. Thanks for asking. What have you been up to?

Virgil, enjoy the HP movie. Hope Lauren doesn't talk as much as Alicia did. It took her a while to get into the movie, she kept commenting on all the parts that were different from the book!

If anyone needs a non-kid movie this weekend, Walk the Line is excellent!

GunkaKaren,
I am glad the tickets were good. Was the missing man ever located?

Hey there, Amanda!

Nope. Last I heard he was still missing. Figure is up to $60,000 now and "records from his house have been seized." Which means they have our name!!!

Amanda,
for the nose...
I'd try a little Vaseline....keep the boogies from sitting on there irritating the skin. And a decongestant to keep the boogies from coming down in the first place.
HTH

KikiKaren,
No problem on the email thing we havent exactly been on top of that either! I dont like sharing my PC ! LOL
Virgil,
Sorry to keep bothering you with this, but I have tried the setup call a few times, and it does the same. Is there a master reset button ? I think what happened, when I did it the first time, I accidentally selected that I had only antenna. Did not know how to change it, and went thri the whole process. Got to the 2-3 hours processing time screen, and I unplugged it thinking I could start over..So much for that theory.
Kevin,
I do miss chatting, but my house is happier and cleaner! LOL
Diana, Great news about Tink's back! Not been doing much, just working hard, and trying to stay on top of things here at home.

Gunka Karen,
Thanks for the tip. Poor little guy. The sore looks horrible right under his nose like that :-(
I have not seen any new posts from Sandi in a while. I hope everything is OK, oh and Maria I am sorry I did read about your family member, and prayers are on the way for that!
Pam,
I know it is late, but congrats to Ashley on the great swim meet!

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Wednesday!

Off to work for an early press ok. Hey I'm happy there were supposed to call me about 1 am. I got a few hours extra of sleep!

fora ll of you traveling today - safe journies. for all of your cooking, successful sauces!

I had along day yesterday traveling and meetings. Today should be slow in the office so maybe I can catch up...Tonight we wll start preparations for Thanksgiving dinner, it will just be the 3 of us - we have a small family....Sam, my Mother and me (Hedgie too). I hope Scoopie makes it for Turkey Day....

In other news yesterday, Kevin and Jim - Sam has now signed us up for Nitrox classes.....I am not sure if there is a pool dive as well, - sunburn still very tender, so the prospoect of pulling on gear is not appealing....

Time for coffee and to catch up on yesterday's posts....

I do need mine quartined! My big concern is that I don't want to pick anything up. I called the ped's office this a.m. We're going to take the "wait & see" approach since they are open both tomorrow & Fri. The nurse didn't want to expose her to anything else by bringing her in. I sort of agree.

Sorry the little ones are sick......

He didn't mind. Actually, before we even got ON the ship a DISer wanted to know if we could check her son's rash if it needed to be checked. He had an appointment for it just before they left for the ship and the doc wanted it to be monitored.....Mike was on retainer for that, but the rash got better and there was no need.

Of course, Mike wouldn't want to be in his room all day seeing sick kids on the ship, but for close friend DISers, it's a nice thing to be able to do to help out. :)

Does he see "big Kids" too???? In case i get the queesies again? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Or sunburn :rotfl2:

Now all of you have got me thinking that I should get DH a DVR for Christmas. He's been wanting one but I've been putting him off. The last legitimate reason that I had was because they don't record in HD. We don't typically do Christmas presents but he's been such a great hubby & nurse since my surgery, that maybe he deserves a special treat this year. Besides, his b-day is in Jan. Wonder if Costco has anything worthwhile???

A T.O.P. shared with OHMinnie, Stacey, Jay and all of the other DIS techies out there!

Ang

Sounds like your task today is to walk around Costco - that should be about 30 minutes - right?

So does this mean you can come help me out.

Bring a big shovel for the guest room....When I posted I had unpacked, it meant the stuff was out of the suitcases. Much is on the bed in the guest room and Mother needs it tonight...What is not on the bed is on the kitchen table.....Nothing like deadlines.....

Rather than cleaning house I would prefer to complete the cruise album so it will be ready to share tomorrow, but that will be a major undertaking, since the film is still at the store...and I haven't started.....Perhaps during the commercials of the Parade - after all, we don't have Tivo.

I have broken down and requested a small set of rabbit ears for the TV, until we get the large outside antannae replaced. Better to watch the parade with. If not, the small set has good reception, you can't see anything on the screen, but the reception is good.....Oh, glasses... :rotfl2:

Sam has the turkey ready - it is marinating in the fridge. (yum)...

Time to brave the frigid winter weather - temps are supposed to be in the 40's (ok - maybe 52) but that means I must find the sweater today.

Take care...... insert Turkey smilie here.....

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING DAY.

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep. I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The turkey beckoned -- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees "Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please!"

May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump; May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump;

May your yams be delicious, May your pies take the prize; May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I was an absolute insomniac when I was a kid, but I finally outgrew it. I've lost my knack for staying up late without good reason... most nights, by 10:30 or so I've had it... that really only applies at home though... when I'm on the road for work, or on vacation, I'll stay up til God-knows-when, as long as there's something good going on.

No, no, no, NEVER go to Costco the day before a Holiday! Everyone will be there today, buying mass quantities of food!

And a suggestion on shopping for a DVR. I pre-shop for electronics at Amazon, they have reviews! And some of the reviews are quite detailed. Sometimes they have the best prices too, with free shipping. In fact, I may have bought our DVR there. Of course, I have an in-house tech person for set up.
