Grandfather Bob's hearing started to go when he turned 85. The doctor
fitted him with a hearing aid. But it didn't work well. Sometimes it would
make a beeping noise or a high-pitched whistle. Those around him could
hear the noises. One day he was visiting his son and two grandchildren.
They were sitting on the porch watching the sunset when the hearing
aid started making its noises. His granddaughter, who was sitting next
to him, shouted, "Grandpa, you've got mail!"

:rotfl2:

We were sitting in church this Sunday, and the old guy in front of us was having hearing aid feedback problems something fierce. What made it really funny was that it was in his pocket at the time, as he was using the 'hearing enhancement' headphones that they supply at our church. Elizabeth couldn't figure out why his pocket was whistling.

THIS coming from a man who hasn't had a Christmas tree in YEARS!

Not true. We have a tree every year. It's just a question if we get it out of the box in the garage. :rotfl:

When we lived in Michigan I insisted on a live tree every year. Now, I really don't care. People talk about how different it is without snow. It is true.

still no word from Irene?can anyone answer my previous questions? I am worried about her.

The latest update from FPL (our power company) is that they won't have power restored to everyone until 11/21. Many areas will be getting power within the next two weeks. You can get more info from FPL.com.

Our office is making a run with supplies down on Saturday. Sharon's had a flat bed go down yesterday. It's still a mess....Port Everglades may be open, but they don't have full power...still 3-4 hour waits for gas. Hopefully things will improve quickly.

After all, I am handling the emails for 10 people of our other office which is cuttting into my DIS time.

No, it's only 20 miles from here. Oh, that is from Port Orange.

JB's after the parade!!!! Of course we can't talk about the cruise because some one has not told their kids yet.

Kikipug, last night we were watch some videos. JP was on video at our house, bonco party. Seeing him and Judy dance after shots is a real treat!

great set up....now let's see if i can get the TOP

Gosh, from hurricane relief and Ipod cases to that...

With NO warning!!!!

OM, did you get the recommendation I sent you through Netflix? Just wondering if it worked.

Finally! All done....bags are in the car already. I don't know where all the clothes came from, but I told the kids to give me their laundry and they must have thought I was NEVER coming back!
I had half a mind to pack all their dirty clothes in a suitcase, take it with me, and have Princess do it all!! It is free, after all.... :confused3

So...now that I finally got to sit down, I'm going to bed. I'll check in from the airport or the hotel.

Thank you Jim, for all of your updates this week...they helped a lot!

Anyone notice we didn't hear from Mark & Mary tonight???

IRENE......sincerely hoping you don't have to wait much longer for your electricity!! Wish I could BRING you some!!!

Angie....heal up, okay???

Bye, everyone...

Good bye Stacey!!!!

Have a great trip and watch out for Tropical Storm Beta. :rotfl: (yes folks...we have Beta out there right now)

Good morning Sue. Nice to see you posting early this morning. I have been missing the morning competition with Irene. Glad to see you someone else stepping in.

Hi Jim - I usually am an early riser. Love to watch the sun come over the trees while drinking coffee. I have a self imposed limit of 1 hour a day pc time now. I was letting stuff go at home. If I get more organized I get 'more' screen time. I am getting excited for you and Sharon about your cruise.

I like your rule. I need to do that myself, especially when it is getting close to cruise time. We have rules like that for the kids, but not us. May have to think about that so I can get more chores done....like going to work this morning.

Especially since you are doing the work of '10 people'. Have a good day!

Good morning cruisers!

Happy Friday!

Thanks again for all the anniversary wishes!

Bon Voyage Stacey - have a great time!

Here's hoping that Irene and Sam are ok and will get their electricity back up soon so they can check in.

Well, I'm not following the thread too well right now....#1, ya start talking iPod technology and I don't follow it. #2, just too blasted busy. Tell me again why I let the kids audition for a show?!?!?!?

Yup, got it! We've been so busy we're limited to just ONE 24 episode a night! ACK!

Mark and Mary....

 Happy BELATED Anniversary!!

Sorry I missed the actual day!!

Maria's kids won't be there... so I can realistically leave mine home, too! It's great now that they can stay home alone for a few hours at a time!!! Bribery works!!! I'd rather pay each of them $5 to stay home, not fight, and not call me every 10 minutes than pay a sitter $25. The way I see it, I'm still saving $15, and teaching them to be responsible.

Aw c'mon... JP should know better than to be doing shots in the vicinity of a video camera!!! :rotfl2: That's rule #1 of 'how to over-indulge past the age of 25'. Always hide the evidence.
