Let's play double or nothing. I'll throw in my two and you can keep them until their 21. :rotfl2:

Well- one of yours is most of the way there. (Scary, isn't it.) You've got good kids.

Thankfully, Ray has nothing to do at work tomorrow... he can spend the day at home. He is scheming right now about how he can possibly manage to do some moving tomorrow instead of waiting til Saturday- he's not very patient.

Hi....

First, the easy part....Jordan is fine. Her school was in lockdown for about 2 1/2 hours because the police were chasing two people involved in home burglaries through the neighborhood. But they were armed, so they didn't want anyone in the middle of any shoot-outs. I guess it didn't matter that there were a whole bunch of us at the medical plaza just up the street from the school! Actually, Jared and I were at the plaza for the xrays on his nose, we saw the helicopters and police and that's when we found out about the lockdown. I was a nervous wreck. But all is well on that front.

The doctor drew several vials of blood and did a urine sample (from Jared) which we won't have results back for a couple of days.
They did an EKG which showed a couple of things of concern for the doctor, so they want him to see a cardiologist, hopefully to rule out any problems. I was a little upset, and didn't ask what problems...I just kept nodding my head like an idiot.
For now, they want him to stay hydrated and just to be careful with his movements, especially from a sitting/laying position to standing. My initial reaction is to follow him all over school. I need to write a note for the school nurse, so that they are aware for now.

So it will be at least a few days before we get info on the blood and xrays....and he can't get in to the cardiologist until the 28th of September.
Thanks for the prayers. It was a long day.

WOW did I miss alot today

Just got an e-mail from Stacey. Sounds like it's her turn for prayers.

Sounds a bit more serious than blood sugar for Jared, he's been referred to a cardiologist. Virgil, I'm sure she will be e-mailing you with details.

And Jordan is in lock-down at her school. They're looking for a couple in the area, and aren't letting the kids leave.

I'll post again if I hear anything else.

Diana - thanks for the updates!

Stacey - Know that you are in my prayers. I should be able to e-mail tomorrow when we are back on land!

Thanks, Mary....I'll be glad to have you back!!

Thank you everyone.

We did have good news...our gas prices are going down. Never thought these prices would make me happy, but it went from $3.19 to $3.11 to now $3.07 I guess that's something to celebrate. Right. :rolleyes2

Sue

In a prior house we had vinyl and now we have stucco. I want the vinyl back!! It doesn't crack or require painting.

Of course vinyl would blow off the side of my house. :rotfl:

Just got the latest update on TROPICAL STORM OPHELIA. It has moved a little closer on shore and gotten a little stronger, but still not a hurricane yet. It is just going to sit where it is at for the day beating our coast with large waves. That is a real problem for our county, Volusia, because the coast has been hit hard for the past year with erosion.

Waves off shore are 12-15 ft. That will make a fun ride back for the DCL today. They are going to have to pretty much got right through the heart of the storm. That should be an interesting ride.

It appears Mark and Mary will be coming into Port Everglades, Ft. Lauderdale this morning. DCL is posting that they will be operating out of PE starting today and bussing people like they did last year.

Good call given the weather just sitting on the Cape.

Good morning cruisers!

Well today will sure be one of adventure. As Jim has stated we are now at Port Everglades and will be bused up to Port Canaveral! Fun? I don't think so, but it has been an amazing cruise. Luckily our plans just called for us to go to WDW today so the delay shouldn't hurt us too bad. Just not looking forward to driving into the storm or sitting for 3 plus hours on the bus. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Good Morning All - Thanks for the update Stacey, pixie dust your way. Mary and Mark, what an adventure.

Thanks for the update.....I expect with a member cruise that most folks have been to WDW so even if their trip was cut short, it should not be too traumatic.

So sorry to hear about EVERYTHING that went on last night.

Stacey - Good luck with the tests, at least they are on their way to see what the problem is.....and I know you can give Jared some TLC.

No, Kikikaren and jim -- we will not take any kids for the day. Not unless you take cats!!!

And sorry that I did not post last night. My chaos was less, altered male cat came home with bloody mess of a fight - so it was time to clean wounds and give him emergency antibiotics the vet lets us have 'cause vet is tired of being woken up at all hours....I'll call for an appointment today....

Local news just admitted it is impossilbe to tell the track of Opehilia -- will go check crownweather's models.

Out of town business trips today...gotta run.

Stacey...pixie dust and prayers your way. Keep the faith, girlfriend.

Mary & Mark...Just think...you COULD be cruisin' through all of that storm. Which would you rather have? A little bus ride or rockin' and a rollin'? Personally, I'll take the bus ride? How about renting a car instead and driving yourself? Good luck whatever you do.

Hi everyone else. Yanks won last night. Yippeee!! What a nail bitter. Anyway, I came home to having more than 3/4 of my base cabinets installed. Looking good! I can't believe it's REALLY happening. This sounds crazy, but if everything goes according to plan, I could start moving things into the cabinets Monday or Tuesday. Too exciting for this house.

Gotta run. Everyone have a better day than last.

TTFN,
Maria

Congrats on the race to 15,000! :cool1:
Stacey - pixie dust and prayers, fingers crossed, etc - keep us posted!
Mary and Mark - safe travels !!!

In the choice between taking Karen's kids or Irene's cats - I'll take the kids, at 18 you'll have them back just in time for college and those expenses. :rotfl2: With John's allergies, if I'd take the cats I'd also have to have divorce papers to go along with them.

Took myself to the dr. last night. I have an upper respitory infection and the beginning of a sinus infection. I actually opted to get a shot last night. You know it's bad when I agree to get a shot! I also got antibiots and cough med with codeine. I finally slept well last night.
