WHO in their right mind registers for a creme brulee torch for their wedding----

We didn't register for our wedding... but if Ray had known about the whole 'registry' concept (he was a jock... didn't know much about wedding 'stuff')... he would have had it on his list... along with every other kitchen gadget known to man or woman.

Right now, we're on a quest for a hanging pot rack for our new house... seems that everywhere we turn, the same Calphalon one is all that we can find... looks like that might be it.

Off to church, then to do more packing today- gotta tackle Christopher's room once and for all.

Sounds like "fun"!! So did Mike know he was getting the duds or were the kids tricking him? What a Dad!!

I don't think I would eat anything that tasted like vomit, boogers, dirt or soap knowingly!!

At first he didn't know they'd actually taste like those things....after all, who would BUY the things knowing 1/2 of them tasted HORRIBLE?!?!? Then KT would hand him one and tell him "I'm pretty sure this is cherry....." and he'd eat it and gag and cough and sputter and she'd say "but it might have been the vomit one...they look a lot alike...." :rotfl2:

OM, that's funny. Alicia has wanted to buy those a couple of times, but after we figured out that she would be afraid to eat ANY of them, we decided against it. Poor Mike!

Quiet day here. Really need to figure out the dance clothing situation, since Alicia is taking dance classes several times a day now. Wish there was a movie we could go to later, Red Eye is about it, but it looks scary!

Did I mention we saw Sky High last week? It was great!

Kevin is doing his monthly DIR scuba thing today, yesterday he taught class, next weekend he will be at Blue Hole with the certifying class. Anyone else a weekend single Mom?

Yep...what a thing to wake up to..You know it'd be nice if they would send you a PM or something before removing your whole signature...sigh....I'm too lazy to add anything back now.. I am in protest :-)

Amanda, I think people were just ignoring those notices they put on signatures, like the one Stacey got. I saw a lot of them for a while, anyway. Too bad you're the victim of that. But hey, we all know where you're going!

Happy Sunday!

Packing up to leave the hotel. We'll do the special Mass at the fest, go in and enjoy the music for a while and then head home. Have a great day everyone!

We hope you have a great time. Our's strangely enough is in March :rotfl2: Is your Mass in gaelic? Ours used to be, until poor father passed away....We do miss it. Course you had to guess on what the readings were....

We shall have to go to the Irish pub tonight and toast you. See you soon...

Seems we might have ANOTHER cat. He showed up a couple of days ago. EXTREMELY thin. When I pet him, I swear I could have picked him up by his spine!! Against my better judgement I pulled out a can of cat food (which he inhaled) Two days later he's still sitting outside my door crying for attention. He doesn't have to cry for food because we have an outdoor cat and this new cat is always by the bowl waiting in the morning. He is DEFINITELY an ex-indoor cat. He's very sweet, loves attention, and is declawed. I may call the shelter tomorrow and see if anyone has been looking for him....although with as thin as he is, he hasn't been home for awhile. :(

As my vet says, take the neon Sucker sing off off your roof. The attrack the lost and lonely,.... cats, birds, even a turtle once.

Happy Sunday Folks. DH returned home last night - late, technically a "day early" but really only a few hours, after airport delays. Good to habe him home. Between the heat wave and me, I think we lost some plants...oops.

This morning the local paper ran an article on meeting ship mates on line - they followed Cruisecritic, on another ship. The trhead boasted 600 posts and 4000 hits before crusing time. sheesh - amateurs.

Off to toast Mary at the Irish Pub.

A top shared with Stacey's (unkonwn) proud Mother's moment!

And the administrator who says I can only post every 40 seconds...Boy that administrator has a clock, slower than my cruise countdown clock...

Better this way than the other way around! :)

Yep, John's in school every other weekend and then his study group meets on the opposite Saturday. Makes soccer and basketball season a bit hectic with two kids, but thankfully, we have wonderful parents on our teams who help out with carpooling.

Irene,

No the Mass is a nice mix of English, Latin, and a bit of Gaelic. One of the readers at the Mass today and a speaker at the fest yesterday was the President of Ireland. We didn't go near the stage she was speaking at yesterday because we had another show to watch and knew that the stage area would be wall to wall people.

Mass today was full as usual. About 11,000 people all getting together for a Mass for peace. Very beautiful and it really caps the weekend for us.

This was the festivals 25th year and it was a great one. Perfect weather, a great mix of acts and lots and lots of great food. We are now home - happy but tired. The fest goes on until 10:30 tonight. We're hoping they call here around 7:30 to tell us we won the trip to Ireland that was the grand prize in the raffle. We hope that every year but they never call. :)

She feeling better?

Yes, Emily is feeling better. Her fever broke Fri. afternoon around 5:00 but she milked it for the rest of the evening. Sat. morning she popped out of bed and declared that she was all better. She knew that she had better be if she wanted to go to that birthday party. Now Ashley is a different story. She started with the crud again & is back to puking in the car, at nap time and nighttime, etc., etc., etc.

Gymnastics rules, at least at our house and yours!

Sad..........but true! And do you guys see more of Lisa's feet, than her head> Kelly can't walk through the house, w/o doing something upside down!

What is ironic about Kelly is that she can't walk over a line drawn on the sidewalk w/o tripping.....but put her on the beam, and she can leap the length of it and not fall off. Go figure! :confused3

Big milestone tonight. Both kids are now in youth group at church. That means Sunday night at Stonewoods for Sharon and I. We have waited many years for this to happen and we really enjoyed it tonight. :cool1:
