Good morning Sue - I'm heading off to the eye doctor myself this morning. It's been too long.

Mary - Good luck! I wear trifocals and the cost for new lenses has really gone up. Between the home improvements and the glasses we are talking about serious cruise interference. NO MASSAGES in January, drat.

I am a nurse. I work for two neurosurgeons in their office. :flower:

Hey there! I am/was a nurse too. Worked surgical infant ICU, and then office peds before finally staying home with my own and losing all rational thought (kid has a seizure in the ICU I'm all over it--pushing meds, doing this, doing that...) MY kids has a seizure and I break down and lose all logical thought!)

Good Morning All - Welcome Linda and family. I picked up my new glasses yesterday and then went to the library. What a difference the prescription change has made!

Sue

And it's time for me to go in for a prescription change. I could not do close work with either my glasses or contacts last night. Had to go "naked" and it worked fine. The things we do for our kids (I was working on Matt's science homework)

The receipe in the Disney cook book is outstanding. It's much better than what PC sells. Of course using Starbucks coffee helps.

We have an espresso machine here (a Starbucks barista) and we use either Starbucks espresso beans or Stauff's (which is much better than Starbucks) Need to get some Twinkies....

Maybe I'll make it tomorrow night. Having fajitas (which the kids don't like, but they aren't here to complain) Fajitas and Tirimisu....a little international flair! ;)

Welcome, Linda!!!

My kids are Maggie who will be 9 and Mike who will be 11. Glad you're aboard! Don't worry about catching up, just jump in...

Okay, I am sure somewhere in the past 1100 pages you guys have already discussed this, but I missed it, so do you guys think the scheduling (as far as what night formal, what night pirate, etc) will be basically the same as the Western? Looks like they just swapped out cc for key west and costa maya for GC, otherwise schedule looks pretty much the same, so I am guessing recent Western Nav's would probably be fairly close to what we can expect???

Also, we haven't cruised since May of 04, so I have a couple questions for those of you that have cruised recently. Does shutters still allow the downloadable release so you can get your own copies of the pictures they sell? And does anyone know if they have updated the Disney DVD since it's first release?

That's all I can think of for now, but trust me, I will have a ton more questions. My dh always tells me I plan everything to death.... but I just call it being prepared!! :rolleyes1

Oh ohoho I forgot to tell you that I tried a soduko puzzle that other day becasue cnn.com had 2 sample puzzles and I think it is sooo neat. I want to go buy a book of them now.......

She's hooked! Diana, we've caught another one!!! :cool1: This is the website where I get my daily puzzles. The Chicago Tribune listed it as it's reference link. I like it because I can also print off blank grids if the grid gets to messy with erasing. There are two puzzles each day a gentle puzzle and a moderate competition puzzle. That's enough to keep me busy for quite awhile.

There is also a cubed puzzle, I haven't been brave enough to try it!

Yeah... what she said. We also celebrate the "TOP" of every page, some break into song on Friday morning, and we all use this place as a sounding board, corner pub, and general hangout. Several DH's & DW's post separately as what we THINK is their primary means of communication... (Tinksdad & Dancind)

, and Banfi is the wine of choice on this thread, though I've yet to try it.

Jump right in- we're all just a bit crazy, but we have a lot of fun!!

Don't mention Michigan and Ohio State in the same sentence... :rotfl2:

I HATE 24. Can they please not end each episode with another twist??? JUST when I think all is going well and life will be normal....BAM!!!!! Two steps backwards! sigh!

At the end of a season do they finally wrap things up??? Or leave you hanging till the next season? Is season 2 a continuation of season 1?? Or it is a whole different plot and situation???

So far, I've watched Season 1 and Season 2 on DVD. By the end of the "day" - I just want to yell - that's enough let's call it a day...There's way too much twisting and turning and I'm exhausted...That said, I've got Season 3 on hold at the library - just waiting for it to come in!! - Yes, things get wrapped up...

Did anyone notice we surpassed the Panama Canal thread? :cool1: Only 10,000 more posts to claim the #1 spot. :rotfl2: After wading through last night's pages, I'm sure we can handle it!

NOW the Cubbies start winning - It was a beautiful night at the ballpark - great weather, the roof was open...and the Cubs won! I'll have to bring my jacket again today, not for the weather but, in case the Cubs win and I have to get out of the ballpark alive...

Yeah! You mean you want to pass those chatterboxes that were on the Dec. '04 10 day cruise? :rotfl2:Shouldn't be a problem at all. The closer we get the faster the posts go!

Just got off the phone with my good friend. Her MIL just passed away last night. It's been a rough week for their family. Her MIL and FIL evacuated with them to my friend's hometown near Dallas last Wednesday. Thursday a.m. she (MIL) had a brain hemorage. Earlier this week, they took her MIL off the respirator and feeding tube, then flew her back to Houston Thursday and placed her in a hospice. Please keep the Rawley family in your thoughts and prayers.

The neighbor boy stopped by at 9:00 to play. We had only been up for about an hour and still in PJ's...I told him to come back in 30 minutes...Now that I've caught up on the DIS, guess I better jump in the shower before he comes back...He's been wanting to play all week - so, I just didn't have the heart to tell him no.

Then I just might put in the 2nd season of ER...grab today's suduko and relax. No soccer today, because we're going to the baseball game. It's a rare day we aren't up and running to early soccer games...

Oh drat, Maggie had a small crisis yesterday, couldn't find her Cubs jersey - I promised her if I didn't find it, I'd keep looking today...guess that means I have to wade through her room...If I don't check in tomorrow, someone call the National Guard - I may be stuck in there somewhere....

Angie...the picture of the girls is darling! Easy to do, when you have such cute little models!!
You're having spinal fusion? Do you have broken vertebrae? I'm curious about it...I have Spondylolisthesis...L4, L5-S1....and have even been to the Barrow Neurological Institute, but they have all told me that the surgery (for me, anyway) is too risky.
I used to pray that someone would/could do the surgery.....now that I am getting older, I'm scared to death of it. Mine has been this way since I was 14. I have good days, and bad days....and a really high pain threshold. There are so many things that I've done that the doctors told me I'd never be able to do....and I have enjoyed proving them wrong. It may make my life more difficult in the end, but I think it's been worth it. Mostly. They told me to never have kids....that I wouldn't be able to carry full term, or deliver. Well, I didn't deliver...had C-Sections...but I had them. Now I'm beginning to doubt the wisdom of that choice! LOL Just kidding!

Ang...hang in there....I will REALLY be thinking of you and praying!!

Stacey, I have scoliosis. I wore a brace for a while when I was in my early teens. Since I've had my children, it's gotten worse. I have a 60 degree curve & will be fused from something like T4 down to L1 - essentially from my bra hooks down to my upper lumbar. I too have a very high tolerance for pain (managed having 2 kids with no epidural or drugs) but the numbness that I was starting to experience was making me nervous. Both ortho surgeons that I went to said that I could probably wait a few years but that it was inevitable and surgery would be easier while I'm relatively young. Both agreed that arthritis would be a big problem if I did nothing. A woman (late 50s) at work has back problems ... not sure exactly what ... she's been to one of the same orthos & had surgery recommended but has done nothing. There are days that she can't get out of bed. I don't want that to be me!!! At times I'm not sure I'm making the right decision but just have pray that I am.

Ang
