Yeah! You mean you want to pass those chatterboxes that were on the Dec. '04 10 day cruise? :rotfl2:Shouldn't be a problem at all. The closer we get the faster the posts go!
What do you mean, chatterboxes????? Some of those are on THIS cruise, (but you knew that :teeth: ) plus some VERY promising candidates!!! ( :bitelip: Amanda, are you there???) :rotfl2:

I know Mr. Scuba can help me (now WILL he after I was teasing him yesterday, that's another question)....

Looking at the Twinkie Tiramisu recipe....what is mascarpone cheese and where do I find it at the store?

Everything else I have, or can make (espresso) so I'm set except for the mascarpone cheese....

edited to add...actually I need to get Twinkies. Think those are necessary?

Just got off the phone with my good friend. Her MIL just passed away last night. It's been a rough week for their family.

Ugh. This sounds familiar. I have a homeschooling acquaintance who grew up in New Orleans. Her dad had to evacuate for Katrina and moved in with her (in Central Florida) About a week after being there, he had a massive heart attack. They are in turmoil b/c they don't even know where or how to contact extended family or friends b/c everyone is living somewhere else right now.

And then yesterday we went to the kids' dentist. Great guy. Loves Disney ;) I asked how his son was doing b/c last time we were in his son was on chemo for a rare cancer (but the oncologists were very optimistic...although rare, it was fairly treatable) well....turns out, LAST Friday was a check up and things were GREAT. His son was back in school, in love with his girlfriend, back playing in his band. The oncologist was VERY pleased. Well, this past Monday his scan results came back and the cancer is back and it's a bad sign. I could tell Dr. Bob was not doing well b/c he kept saying things like "if he even lives through this." While I was there another guy was there....turns out to be a very recently retired pediatric dentist who is taking over Dr. Bob's office while Dr. Bob stays with his son at the hospital for massive chemos and a bone marrow transplant. :(

Too much sadness... :(

Excellent! I have to go up this way to get some cross stitch stuff framed. Plus we have a glass milk bottle (with deposit) to return there. Seems the kids LOVE the whole milk which is not homogenized --you know with the big chunk of cream at the top!

Thanks, HH. Drywall AND mascarpone cheese....who knew????

She's hooked! Diana, we've caught another one!!! :cool1: This is the website where I get my daily puzzles. The Chicago Tribune listed it as it's reference link. I like it because I can also print off blank grids if the grid gets to messy with erasing. There are two puzzles each day a gentle puzzle and a moderate competition puzzle. That's enough to keep me busy for quite awhile.

There is also a cubed puzzle, I haven't been brave enough to try it!

THanks Monica!

Amanda, I do want to join you guys! I'm just trying to be good. I'm trying really, really hard. Checking Southwest fares every other day is just a habit, honest. If I still had a valid annual pass, though, I'd be there!

I am thinking you should not be so good.:flower: ...but that is just me ;)

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking with her post!! She's almost one of us now. Now she just has to do that skinny dipping thing and it'll be official ;)

Oh, and don't forget the hauling of a case of Banfi on board.....:flower: That is going to be a pre requisite of all new scoopers! :drinking:

Both ortho surgeons that I went to said that I could probably wait a few years but that it was inevitable and surgery would be easier while I'm relatively young. At times I'm not sure I'm making the right decision but just have pray that I am.

One of my water aerobic ladies had surgery after a rod was placed along her spine (more technical than that - but, that's the gist) last winter - she came back to class as soon as her therapist and dr said it was o.k. - she is so thankful she went through it - she's moving better and feeling better - she took her recovery carefully, listening to her dr and therapist getting back in the water as soon as she could- if anything for the weightlessness...Her only regret was waiting.

I HATE 24. Can they please not end each episode with another twist??? JUST when I think all is going well and life will be normal....BAM!!!!! Two steps backwards! sigh!

At the end of a season do they finally wrap things up??? Or leave you hanging till the next season? Is season 2 a continuation of season 1?? Or it is a whole different plot and situation???
OK now you have me curious about 24.....hmmm do I really need to add another TV show to my collection? I already have Buffy (all), Angel (all), Xena(all), Charmed Seasons1 and 2, Cosby Season 1, Whos the Boss season 1, Boy Meets World 1-3 (the kids are really enjoying this one), Malcolm in the Middle season 1 (hillarious!), Saved by the Bell Season 1 and 2 (the kids love this one too), Queer as Folk Seasons 1-4, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (kids) and I know I wanted Roseanne and Desperate housewives but I have been feeling to guilty to add them to my collection. Can you tell?? I LOVE TV on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, as for the skinny dipping.....does this have to be a new event, or does one in my [not so recent] past count???

NO getting outta that one ma'am...;) I still dont think Fran and her DH have done so either...:rotfl2:

ohiominnie said:
That would be completely up to Amanda. She is the originator of the skinny dipping rule. ;) (I think it's cuz she does it a lot herself so it's always fresh on her mind. shhhhhh)

HEY!!!:rotfl2: I have no better come back than that one!

Gotta say, every:confused3 time I *meet* a hunter, I flash back to this scene (edited b/c this is a family board):

You were gonna shoot a deer?? A poor, defenseless, doe-eyed little deer?? Imagine you're a deer. You go down to the brook, put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water... and BAM! a ***** bullett hits you right in the head, your brains are splattered all over the ground. Now I ask ya... would you give a **** what kind of pants the ******** who shot ya was wearin'?

OK hmmm splain please?? This rings no bells for me :confused3

It's OK, Linda. A lot of us have husbands with weird hobbies that take them away on weekends. Hunting is just another one. Mine likes to swim with the fishies.

OK 1st you hint at nailing him, then hinting at swimming with the fishes....Diana, is this an internet Deperate cry for help??!?:rotfl:

Angie, good luck in your surgery... this is one of the surgeries the docs that I work for do. They do brain and spinal surgery. Hope everything goes well for you and you have a great and speedy recovery.

Stacey, sorry for the pain you have to live with. Kudos to you for accomplishing everything that you have. You must be one tough lady!

See?? What great timing that a nurse that works for a surgeon who happens to do the surgery Angie is going to get, joins our thread a few days b4 she gets it! (RUN ON SENTENCE) I think this was fate!
