Good Morning!!!

We just got off the 7/2/05 cruise, and rebooked for May 27th! I'm not sure if I'll be able to read ALL of the post here, but DH (XLT800) and I wanted to join in with you.

We are a family of 4, from Tampa. At the time of sailing, our children will be DS (Steven) 14 and DD (Kelly) 11. Kelly is also a gymnast. (Didn't I read that Scuba has a gymnast also?) We LOVE our Disney cruises. The May 27th will be our 6th.

Happy Tuesday!
Fran

Welcome Aboard and I love your signiture line. :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

I'm sure someone else has already posted about the board, Mary's list, Scoopie and etc.... :wave2:

after spending the last week dealing with eight 7 and 8 yr olds I am going to go back to school for a degree in international affairs.....

Yes, Russia, I know what Pakistan said wasn't very kind.
Pakistan, can you find a more appropriate way to say that?
Now, Russia, it's not nice to hit. Please tell Pakistan you're sorry.
I know Pakistan said something mean, but we don't hit each other.
Yes, Pakistan, I know that Russia hit you, but that doesn't mean it's ok to stick out your tongue.

5 days, 4 nights, 45,692 altercations, 38 tongue sticking out episodes, 43 pushings and shovings, 18,604 crying incidents, me wanting to do it again next year.....priceless

Maybe I should handle this b/c I have the most recent experience dealing with these types of situations ;)

This is a fast moving page!!!!

Already, this sounds like a good group to me!

I hope XLT (aka Dave) joins in today. He's having a bit of trouble getting back into the groove of working, and has been surfing around the DIS boards for the past 2 days while "working". ;)

I'll check on those links today. :)

Wow - crazy morning! A girl goes to work and the thread gets crazy.

Fran please don't think that every day is like this.

Ok well Kevin picking on everyone and poking them with is stick - that happens all the time.

Karen and Kevin finding funny pictures - that happens all time.

Communication between spouses - that happens all the time.

But this other stuff - no way!

Does anyone else spend a lot of money on their pets? Sometime during the night we went to go camping and the next day when I came home to feed the animals, our cocker spaniel tore a ligament in her back knee. Well, they did surgery. MIL gets out of the hospital from hip replacement, dog goes in for knee surgery. Now she (the dog) has a big ole bandage on her back leg and a cone around her head (also the dog) so she doesn't bite the bandage. I can't believe that I spent my whole monthly paycheck, plus some, for my dog!

I think we have financed my vet's new annex by now! :wave2:

It's kinda funny....I didn't really want to adopt my DD's dog...and I still am not sure I even want a dog....but...every time I go to the store, I bring him home a treat....
Just can't wait to start back in with Vet visits and bills. And our Vet just built a HUGE new building! :earseek:

Just a big thank you from everyone that put up with Dennis. We are now getting (a lot) of very much needed rain from the leftovers. :umbrella:

Yes, let us remember we still have friends that have been hurt by Dennis even though it was less than expected, it does not matter if it is your roof, your yard, your fence etc etc.

Pixie dust definately needed everywhere.

So sad that those areas that need the rain most aren't getting it while the other areas of getting pounded on.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if nice steady rain could come whenever we needed it.

Then the fields by Sandi wouldn't be dry (way too dry).

Stacey wouldn't have to worry about fires.

And our friends in Florida and along the coasts wouldn't be put through hell each summer.

Song of the day....someone help me with the words...Garth Brooks....

Well, I got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns and the beer chases
My blues away
But I'll be okay......

And yet, during the final program when they said "who wants to stay for 7 more days?" i was one of the few that raised their hand. a few counselors here and there and a few kids here and there. by the end i was having a great time (course, by then i had sent home the 2 am and 5 am potty emergency girl who then started puking!)

and what have i done since i've been home? (besides petting the new kitty?) i've copied picture CD's and made cards for my girls and little care packages. shipped those out today.

(the girls came with disposable cameras, but most of them took weird pictures---like one girl used 8 pictures taking pictures of everyone's water bottle---thought the parents would appreciate REAL pictures of their kids!!)

Gunka, that was funny. Forget International Relations, you and Kiki need to team up and write a comedy book.

Stacey, run away from the Vet with the big new building! While recently spending a small fortune on our cat's heart problems, I discovered that some Vets actually charge 2-3 times as much as others! I found a reasonable one in an older building that has given our cat great care. And it cost a couple of thousand less than it would have at the first Vet we went to.

Karen - that is very cool and very sweet!

anyone ever hear the bazooka bubblegum song/chant? KT's group did it. It goes like this:

My momma gave me a penny
She told me to buy a henny
But I didn’t buy no henny

(Chorus)
Instead, I bought some bubblegum.
Bazooka-zooka bubblegum
Bazooka-zooka bubblegum

My momma gave me a nickel
She told me to buy a pickle
But I didn’t buy no pickle

(Chorus)

My momma gave me a dime
She told me to buy a lime
But I didn’t buy no lime

(Chorus)

My momma gave me a quarter
She told me to buy some water
But I didn’t buy no water

(Chorus)

My momma gave me a dollar
She told me to buy a collar
But I didn’t buy no collar

(Chorus)

My momma gave me a five
She told me to stay alive
But I didn’t stay alive

Instead, I choked on bubblegum.
Bazooka-zooka bubblegum
Bazooka-zooka bubblegum

I've been saving these for a special occasion.....the time is right.....

Cruise Trivia

What movie can these statements be matched to:

1. "We've all sailed on cruises with people like this, but Vivien Leigh and Simone Signoret got one first.

2. "Ships may come and ships my go, but Debbie Reynolds was positively resilient.

Those are the two for today.........
