Good Morning!!!

We just got off the 7/2/05 cruise, and rebooked for May 27th! I'm not sure if I'll be able to read ALL of the post here, but DH (XLT800) and I wanted to join in with you.

We are a family of 4, from Tampa. At the time of sailing, our children will be DS (Steven) 14 and DD (Kelly) 11. Kelly is also a gymnast. (Didn't I read that Scuba has a gymnast also?) We LOVE our Disney cruises. The May 27th will be our 6th.

Happy Tuesday!
Fran

Welcome tchrmom and family. It's great to have yet another 11 year-old, even though it is a girl ::MinnieMo. I've already done a count for DS (11 at cruise time) and let him know that he and the other 9 - 12 year-old boys will be outnumbered.

wdwlvr.........Yes, I am a teacher. I teach 1st grade. For the upcoming school year, MY last day will be the 26th of May. What a way to start off summer vacation!!!!!!

Very cool! Well at least you are already in Florida so don't have to worry about flying in the night before the cruise!

OK, I skip 1 night and come back to xx number of pages of fluff, but that didn't stop me from reading it all! I told DH last night that if I ever volunteer to help at VBS again to just shoot me. I was put in the pre-school class. Can we say 4 adults with 25 very active 3 - 5 year-olds. I had forgotten how long it had been since DS was that age. Either that or I've just gotten really old :goodvibes .

Welcome Fran & family! Our DD Emily will be K this year. Her last day of school is May 26 as well. Since this will be our first year of school, I'm not sure what time they'll be let out on the 26th. If it's early and we decide to take extra time off of work, we'll be able to drive all the way to FL on Fri. Otherwise, we'll probably be driving 1/2 way on Fri. night then the remainder on Sat. morning.

I sat at the library waiting for my UPS pkg yesterday until 1:00. I tracked the pkg this morning and it said they tried to deliver at 1:03 and no one was there!

Welcome! My DD will be 12 at cruisetime... looks like we are going to have quite the 'herd' of 'tweens. DS will be 9, which means he'll try his best to be a P.I.T.A to the girls... and I'm sure he'll find some willing accomplices along the way!

We were supposed to head out to Tampa on the 25th for the Sox game, but had to sell our tickets, as DS has football camp. Bummer. (I miss my Sox... we are originally from New England, and Tampa is the only place we get to see them now!)

Does anyone else spend a lot of money on their pets? Sometime during the night we went to go camping and the next day when I came home to feed the animals, our cocker spaniel tore a ligament in her back knee. Well, they did surgery. MIL gets out of the hospital from hip replacement, dog goes in for knee surgery. Now she (the dog) has a big ole bandage on her back leg and a cone around her head (also the dog) so she doesn't bite the bandage. I can't believe that I spent my whole monthly paycheck, plus some, for my dog!

You gave me my morning laugh by clarifying which "she" you were talking about!:rotfl:

Welcome Fran and family!
I have DD 15 and DS 12, currently...DD will have just turned 16 before the cruise. (Holy cow, 16, when did THAT happen?!) My DH doesn't go on the Boards....doesn't even know how to turn the computer on, but that's a good thing.....I don't need anyone correcting my spelling and grammer.....oops, you're a teacher.....I give YOU permission to do it!

Mark.....Megan and Pete play some kind of game like that. It consumes Pete.....probably part of the newlywed "trouble"!

justmestace........you crack me up!!!! Just remember, I teach 1st grade. I'm use to "inventive spelling" (bkuz=because) Actually, I'm a horrible speller myself...maybe that is why I can read what 6 year olds write. :goodvibes

:guilty: Actually, that's probably Jared......... (pretty cool how I can throw the blame off of myself, and plant it on the kid, huh?)

Oooh, and I wasn't even trying!!!!!!!!

What does that say about me.....that I spend too much time on the computer?????? Good thing DD has to go to gym every afternoon...........it will give me a chance to stop checking the computer every 5 minutes! :rotfl:
