I almost forgot!! I turned my cell phone on yesterday....hadn't had it on all weekend......I had a call that I had qualified for a free Royal Caribbean cruise to Belize, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Costa Maya. By the time I called back, it had filled, but I am on the waiting list in case anyone cancels. Might be an "interesting" group...it's with the people from NY NY in Las Vegas. I figure there's no way anyone would cancel a "free" cruise. Oh well.......

Wow! When is it sailing? Someone might find out they can't go after all... You could "advance scout" Costa Maya for us.

well, i think we're all packed up. this is like taking for SEPARATE vacations...since we'll all be in separate cabins everyone has to have their own laundry bag, everyone has to have their own flashlight, everyone has to have their own toothbrush.... hee hee.

we'll pack up the truck later tonight when it's a tad bit cooler.
if you're so inclined, i'd appreciate prayers to help me get through the week. this *sounded* like such a great idea when we signed up. now part of my aprehension is that i'll actually have to WITNESS the camp conditions and i'll WORRY about my kids more. if they went on their own i'd have no idea what food was being served (that they weren't eating) or how dirty the bathrooms and showers were....

but since i'll actually SEE these things, i'll just worry about my kids. (sigh)

We are going on Raddisson Seven Seas for our 20th Anniversary. It will be very upscale (suite) and it will be minus the children. The ports are no big deal (Key West, Couzmel, Grand Cayman) the typical Western Carribean. I plan on staying on the ship in most of the ports. Our neighbors are going with us so Jim and Mike have some dives planned and they will be jet skiing in Key West. (I did that last Christmas). We had orginally thought of doing a Crystal ship from Costa Rica, thru the Panama Canal and back to Ft. Lauderdale, but the neighbors don't want to do that. Also, our neighbors took a Raddisson Cruise to Alaska this summer and said it was incredible. I will get psyched the closer we get, but I am just not there yet.

I have a friend that knows Couzemel - so I'll ask. Key West is in our back yard, but I think we will be on our cruise at the same time in November....

No rain, so therefore, no fireworks.......no big loss, we'll catch THOSE at WDW. The fire was stopped on its way down the mountain toward our house, but it is still burning further north. I took the dog out at 2:00 a.m. and could really smell it. That's the first time he's ever gotten up at night....don't know what was bugging him.

Kevin....the guy at Circuit City yesterday says he takes photos and videos as his "other profession"...and he uses "NERO". I thought that was a bit more than I wanted/needed. So far, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements look very cool. Much better than any other program I've tried. Looks like I will still have to get one of the new DVD players if I want to see my pics on the TV.....mine doesn't play JPEG's.
Heading to the mall with all the other people in Phoenix. Nothing much else to do....and it's cool there!

Photoshop Elements is a pretty good program. Just doesn't have all the bells and whistles the bigger ones do. Sounds like it may be just the thing.

Nero is a CD burning, backup and ripping program. It does work very nicely, and really isn't that expensive. There are many smaller programs out there. One for ripping music CD's, another for burning, yet another for data CD and pictures. This one does it all.

I was 24 when I had my oldest DD....she's 23 now. 40 by the time I took Jared to Kindergarten. But I was definitely NOT one of those nicely dressed, well accessorized women! I never did fit into their group. I couldn't keep up with their discussions of the latest shoe sale at the mall.....

Stacey, there is lots of OLD $$$$$ around in Columbus, I don't believe these ones even look at the price tag of things....you know the type??!!?

HEY SUE, My DB works from 6pm thru 6am. My dear SIL thinks she does too apparantly.......sleeps in the day with him, hibernates in the room when he is at work leaving me to deal with my 4 kids and 3 yr old DNeice all alone. Their house is very small, and I had no where to "escape", not even a bed to lay on and relax to read a book, since I was sleeping on the couch and the kids on the floor. So went to her room as soon as he left and stayed there ALL night! She always does that and LISA had enough....LISA wanted to leave that night, but I was tired! LOL

This weekend we up to WDW for a weekend of relaxation at Coronado Springs. I see I have lots of posts to start on while I relax with morning coffee. More on CS later....

I am jealous! I hope it does rain for you all! Have an enjoyable trip!

We just got a call from Matt & Jim in Costa Rica. They are having a great time and both are currently alive and well on their trip. I worry about them because their "boys week" has become more adventersome with each passing year. It started with hiking, went to spending a week on a dive boat, to white water rafting, amusement parks, rappelling (sp??) and now to a number of the above items including zip lines thru the forest and rappelling down a waterfall. The stories will be much easier to here when they are both home safe and sound as they show me the pictures and tell me the stories (this was best after the "shark dive" that I didn't really understand until they showed me the video. Scary stuff for a Mom and Wife) Lisa and I have to work on starting "girls week", but between her gymnastic committments and my work schedule we haven't done one yet. I think a Spa Week is calling us now!!!!!!

Oh, God... I sure hope not!!! Love him dearly, but he's not one that we'd want to see sporting a loincloth. (Tho' he used to wear a bear costume in college... after he blew his knee out in football, he took on the role of 'mascot'...)

I have spent the afternoon looking through 500+ digital pics from our Alaska cruise. Wonderful, beautiful, magnificent, BUT NO SCOOPIE! I can't find the Vancouver part of our trip. I have left a message for my niece, WHERE DID SCOOPIE'S PICTURES GO? The digital pics are on a cd so I couldn't have missed them.

Sue, did you copy the pictures off yourself, or use some service while traveling? It's possible the service didn't get all of them off, if you did. Some cameras will make a new folder every so often, it may be possible one was missed. It's the one reason I've been leery of using the one offered at Shutters, no way of verifying everything is on the CD and it's ok.

Mark, My niece made the copies to cd and she has not erased the cassette or card, whatever it is called. Sarah will make another copy for me from her original cassette. I don't understand how the pics are out of order on the cd. I am trying not to be upset since so many of the pics are breathtaking. Thank you for the advise. But I am getting my own camera now!
