Went to my brother's for the holiday, but it is not the holiday yet, you ask.... left early because my SIL ticked LISA off....right Stacey??? LISA made me leave early,,uh-huh yeah thats the tiecket........I also decdied to work tomorrow since I have nothign better planned and the kids will just drive me nuts here at the house......I am about to spend lots and lots of quality time with them when we drive to CO!!UGH

Poor "Lisa"! I have a feeling she's going to get quite a workout this next year! LOL
But not to be confused with our Little Gymnast Lisa....sweet, lovable little girl!

Disney Fans.....if your husband's cousin was on TV, I can guarantee my Dad was watching....tennis was his life, until he was forced into "early tennis retirement"!
And I LOVE the name Christian! You don't ever shorten it and call him Chris, do you? I don't think I would, the whole name is so great.

Yes it went pretty quick, but it is still completely pointless to re-check the same id they checked before we got on the ship, like it would change on the way or something. If they were really trying to catch someone with that, they would get all the passengers off deck by deck then sweep for illegals. Just pulling all the passengers by the passenger list sure doesn't prove much of anything.

Mark - I never got our passports out of the safe when were on the Alaska cruise and we did 3 US ports. The only time we saw US Customs was in Vancouver!

Hey Amanda - What did SIL to annoy Lisa?

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Monday!

Happy 4th of July!

A great big thank you to the men and women who have fought for the freedom of this country over the years and who continue to serve this country today.

Sue

Sue - just curious what ports you did in what order. The reason we had to do St. Thomas is that we had visited a foreign port before visiting there. The whole thing could have been avoided by going from Key West to St. Thomas and then on to the other islands.

Yeah - an early morning top with Sue and Mark (who is still sleeping :) )

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY FELLOW CRUISERS! Well, stated Mary! :sunny:

Today will be a quiet day as DH has to work. I will pop over to DM's for a traditional picnic if it does not :umbrella:

This weekend we :moped: up to WDW for a weekend of relaxation at Coronado Springs. I see I have lots of posts to start on while I relax with morning coffee. More on CS later.... :wave2:

Safe travels this weekend, everyone!

Still watching the weather to see how you made out this weekend. I wish we could send you some of ours. We have way too much :umbrella: here. Everyday and the ground is soggy. At WDW there was standing water in the garden areas of hotels. We may lose our fruit trees between the hurricane waters and now this rain....

Here is to :sunny: for us and :umbrella: for you.

What did the camp lady say about people exhibiting whacky behavior????

Anyone else think ohiominnie has a bit of that going on right now???? ;)

Let me also add that we're glad you are back! Love your signiture. The Disney Cruise video that runs on the WDW TV, uses a ship-in-a-bottle motif with pixie dust.....Made us want to sail right away....But must wait.... :wave2:

but I was sane enough to make you an AWESOME salad to take for dinner, no?

"Hi all,
I typed this message to Karen, and then realized it would be good for
us to be united in our prayers - calling out in one voice to God. So,
please make time to pray as we prepare for our week. We have an awesome
privilege and responsibility to minister to these kids and one another.
Let's protect that with our petitions. Thanks for your time and
willingness.

:cheer2: I'm behind in posts, so if you have already left - I'm sending prayers and good wishes to you and all the camp counselors to kick those kids in gear...I mean to take care of those precious tykes. OK - to have a great week and enjoy time with a good group of children and their friends...

And I know remember what I do not like about camping (we went last weekend in June). It is Chiggers.....ARRRRGH pirate:

Hope the most bugs you see are lightening!!!!

Just wanted to say Hello! I hope you all are doing well and even though the trip is still what seems like forever, at least its a little closer. LOL

Hello right back at you. At least we are under a year for our sailing date.....Still can't wait.....

Extremely! So knock it off, before Lisa shows up. I remember .35 cents a gallon. Where's my cane????

Hum, DH and I could play at this one, .35 - not sure I remember that but .18 sticks in my mind (oh wait, that was for a postage stamp!) Sorry :rotfl2:

Kevin,

Love the new fish picture you have. Have you ever heard of a Humuhumunukunukuapuaa? It's in the trigger fish family. We saw it in Hawaii on our honeymoon (surprisingly I can still remember that). It's considered the Hawaiian state fish (not formally voted on). In Hawaiian humuhumu means "to fit pieces together" referring to its nest building habit, Nukunukuapuaa means "nose like a pig."
TTFN,
Maria :flower:

Cannot wait to exchange Hawaii stories with you. :flower: One of our favourite places.....We have been lucky to visit 3 times, and see six islands, lots of hiking trips.....And get this Kevin and Jim - no diving...We went "up". Prop. one of the few couples that took and wore long undies and gloves in H :wave2: awaii.

Hello. The trip does seem like a long way away. I wish it was closer. Jim and I are going on our anniversary cruise in November (not DCL) and I just can't seem inspired to do much planning for it. I guess it's because I know the process at DCL and I know what I need to plan to do. Also, I would be looking forward to seeing all of my "friends" I have or have not meet yet. On our November Cruise, I guess I will just "wing it" since I really don't know what to plan and their boards don't give you a lot of advice. On their trips threads, there are exactly two trip reports and they were written more than a year ago. I guess that's why when we started talking about going to Alaska in 2007, we said it sure would be nice to bring the DCL crowd with us even if we can't sail on DCL (we can only wait so long for the "mystery" third ship)

So share, share - we can plan your trip for you - won't that be fun!!!! What ports will you be in - etc etc....'Fess up!

Mary - Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Vancouver. We did Canadian customs on arrival, Canadian and US to board, then Canadian and US when we got off. We did a program 'US Direct' so we went directly from the ship to the airport, what was called a sterile transfer.

Karen I agree with you on those points..I REALLY need 4 if not 5 bedrooms...remember I have 4 kids! We are in a small 3 BR right now....we have a good school disctrict and our house payment is pretty....I am sooo afraid to move...because I am scared of going house poor........I hate to spend all that money on a new house, when we are not even there to enjoy it. We are gone from 630am until 430 pm everyday.....and on the weekends I prefer to go out of town.........I woudl rather have extra money to go where Iwant to go, then be house poor...I know I am weird...we would be fine I am sire, but that does not keep me from worrying..plus I scared of the unkown...we have been in this house for a little over 8 years now... and it is just home.

Because of the difference in real estate prices when we moved from NH to FL, we were in a GREAT situation when we moved down here... we only had 1 weekend to house-hunt, so decided on one pretty quickly, maybe too quickly. Because our mortgage on this one is so small,we'll be in great shape to get something bigger without a huge increase in our payment. I am also in a much better job situation than I expected to be when I got here, so that helps a lot!

Other than going to WDW for the day, we aren't out of town much... we are lucky enough to live in a place where people go TO for the weekend. We hit the beach just about every weekend, and football keeps us 'chained' here every Saturday from August - October. So we do have lots of time to enjoy our house- though if we didn't, I'd feel the same way you do.
