I really wish we could join everyone for the September mini-meet. We're getting the new roof put on tomorrow and Friday. That takes care of any vacation budget that we might have had for this year. We'll be taking a mini-vacation in September for DS and my birthday. We're going to St. Louis for a weekend to the Science Center, Grant's Farm and Fox Theater to see 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' with Patrick Cassidy. That's all our budget can handle until next year.

Yes I drive. It is about 400 miles from here, but about 200 of it is on 2 lane state highways until I can get to I-75 so it still takes us just as long as it would you. About 7 1/2 hours.

Well, that's good to know, because we are tentatively planning on coming to the Columbus area the Sunday before the cruise and stay for 2 nights to scout out the area before heading down to WDW area. We'll have to get directions from you for the best driving route to WDW and compare it to our trip-maker route.

Did I click on the wrong thread/board - oh, boy am I jealous!!! Since I'll be at the airport on that Friday, heading to Chicago (h.s. reunion) - maybe I'll just get on the wrong plane...

It's been two years since I've been back in Chicago visiting family, so I guess I better stick with my original plans.

still pretty bad. talked to a friend last night and he gets this often. he gave me some tips and i'm hoping they worked. he STRONGLY discouraged me from chiropractic cracking though b/c this is exactly what he had when he had an adjustment that led to his stroke!! YIKES!

the flexeril helped me sleep last night so i'm raring to go now!

Irene - yes two seats for us. I think however the Scuba's and Kikikaren were talking about Sunday not Saturday. I could be wrong.

Saturday is booked for us, moving or not... it's now football season which means that we are at the field from 8AM til 3PM every Saturday. I am counting the days til the season is over already!!!!

Christopher had his first official practice last night for tackle football... he absolutely LOVED it (after 3 years of flag football, he was itching to get started). And of course, he slept like a ROCK! I can only imagine what he'll be like once school starts Monday... school every day, practice every night, and homework in between...

Sandi- have you been to Grant's Farm before?? Give my regards to my Clydesdales while you are there!!

talked with mike about it. we realized that we'd have three extra people (gma lightbulb, butch and mike's brother marc) all of which do not have any sort of annual or seasonal pass. that means three hopper days would be used up for lunch. YIKES!

we'll see lots of you guys at the DVC party that night though!

Karen - sounds like a plan. Remember that we are planning to start meeting at 3pm to pass out buttons and to chat with all the DIS'ers. Party starts at 4pm. Hope you guys can come early?

Are you going to do the Pirate scavenger hunt on Pleasure Island? Don't know if you heard about it or not. It is a paid event ($50 per person) with a limit of 200 people. We aren't doing it but some other DIS Member Cruisers are.

Yes, I've been there once with my girls when they were little. This will be the first trip for DH and DS. I'll give all of the Clydesdales a big hello from you .

Hello from WDW!!!
We got hooked up online, but are never in the room....waiting for the girls to get all neat & pretty for Mickey & then off for our last day...we don't want to go home!!
Had great fun with our future fellow cruisers.....
Next meet needs to be at Disneyland.....too many have never been there!!

Last night's storm got a little scary ......had a lightning strike just yards from where we were walking!! I hadn't run THAT fast in a long time!

Heading to Epcot so the kids can ride Mission Space...not me, did it once, don't need to do it again. Then to MK.....

Late Good Morning All - My driveway is finished, yea! The landscaping will be finished next week. Now I need some rain to pack down the gravel dust. Does anyone know when pirate night is on the Western Magic? I don't like to post on the main board (chicken, I know).

Duct Tape - Some of the boards say that you pack duct tape for the cruise...handy stuff as we needed it when DH's boots fell apart and we were on top of a mountain.

Heard this morning, it is part of the assembly of tools that they are using to fix the tiles and just read the tiles were successfully repaired. Thankfully!!!

Have fun this last week of summer.

CRUISE QUESTION - CRUISE QUESTION - CRUISE QUESTION

Now that it is August.....a few questions for my upcoming November Cruise, and I will unashamably post them here 'cause you all will know.

What is the exact time that members of the Castaway Club Members (who are not in the ROY suite) (I know it is 90 days) can go online and make Polo and excursion ressies? midnight? 5:00 yawn....Other than the reservation #, do I need anything else? Did you use the wish list? Any hints??? Thanks.

What do we see when we get online? Any advice - or hints you wish to pass along? Thanks....

What is the latest about "doubling-up" at Palo's for ressies? Have they stopped this practice yet. (Almost got into a "debate" on another thread).

And finally, being greedy - for those of us that love Palo's - can you waitlist for a second seat when you are board ship?
