The crazy remark, I don't get.......... guess it takes one to know one, heh?

I resemble that remark... even though I HAVEN'T managed to meet any of you yet ('cept Sharon... and all mothers of tween-aged girls are equally crazy anyway!)

Today's the day for our home inspection... my only concern is that our pool is slightly discolored (brownish spots where the silica has come through the blue on the pool surface... the pool resurfacing company says it's strictly cosmetic, and doesn't need re-surfacing for 4 more years... the home inspector may think otherwise.) That's an expense that I DON'T want to incur... keeping my fingers crossed... it doesn't show as much when the sun is strong... pray for at noon!!!

A standard bug is a plain vanilla.

One with a with a rear spoiler below the glass has a handle(early ones had an optional one that looked like a handle).

One with the spoiler above the glass has turbonium(from an early VW commercial)

One with a sunroof has a lobotomy.

One with a convertible top has a toupee..

So where does your bug fit in that, hm?

OK OK I am trying to get my plans straigtened out for labor day weekend. Who exactly will be in WDW that weekend? I know that Irene will be, and I think Mary and Mark?? NOt sure though.

Just signed on so I haven't read all the posts - but yes DH and I will be there and can't wait to meet you guys....

We'll be in WDW Saturday only. We are driving down and get in late FRiday night. Saturday we are hitting Epcot to ride Soarin with a friend from the 10 day. Then mid-day meeting Patty (ladypoo) to pick up Scoopie. Saturday night is the DVC Bon Voyage party at Pleasure Island (4-6 pm) with a DIS meet starting at 3 pm. Sunday we are up early for Mass and heading to the port for the Member Cruise!

Several questions??????????????

Do you have time for the coffee after chuch? Don't wish to push you but we attend the same Shrine??????

I guess we can't crash the DVC party unless we are going to the cruise, even if we are DVC members?????

LAdyPoo witll be there Saturday - where - can we come meet Scoopie too????

ohh speaking of books ! I have found a new series that is cracking me up. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Ithink it is hilarious. They are by Mary Janice Davidson, and the 1st one is called Undead and Unwed! I found it on accident at Sam's for $3 ! I thought what the heck! I am so glad I bought it! It is so funny. It is about a girl named Betsy Taylor who gets dies and rises only to find out she is a prophesized vampire king! I know it sounds hokey but this book was so funny! It was Buffy meets Sex in The City! I had to go and get the next one while we were out of toen called Undead and Unemployed. I finished it last night, and now I need to buy Undead and Unappreciated! LOL

Save it and put it in our book exchange for the cruise???????

I am beginning to wonder if my house will ever be clean. We have been gone for 2 weeks and it is still dirty......

True Confessions, I gave up after 2 hurricanes, so I have much housekeeping and gardening to catch up on before October (my self-imposed deadline)!!!

Good morning all! We had an unexpected house guest last night. My cousin was passing through ATL. She called me to have lunch and wound up spending the night. It was great to see her. She's 10 years younger than me. Our families were very close. When I was in high school & college, I'd go on summer vacations with them. Good thing she's family because my house was a total wreck. There is NO way I'd have asked anyone else to spend the night knowing the shape my house was in.

Went to the outdoor pool at the Y last night. The water was surprisingly CHILLY! The girls were in for 10 min. and lips were turning blue.

Amanda, good luck with deciding to put your house on the market. When we moved from Vegas to here, our house looked better than it ever did. We put a few hundred $ in to it to get the backyard finished & totally scrubbed the whole interior of the house. It was immaculate. We had a contract on the house before we completed the drive across country.

Kevin, safe travels for tomorrow. Y'all have fun!

Well - we're here at Vero Beach.... We really like it so far... the weather has been HOT and humid - with daily thunderstorms....

Hard to get on the lousy internet connection here - so I doubt I'll be on again until later in the week....

First thoughts about VB - very nice, well done, good staff, good food. We didn't like the paper plates and bowls in the rooms.........

Lauren is going out in the morning with the Sea Turtle Troop.... Hopefully they'll get to count a nest that hatched overnight.....

What a great time we had at WDW - it was so nice seeing everybody.... Enjoyed Soarin.... and the Test Track at Epcot - bought APs... so now we have even more of an excuse to return soon.....

Shared a nice bottle of a Meritage with Jim at Spoodles.... Glad that there is someone to drink reds besides Banfi with me....

It is nice to have friends like these - to those of you who are still lurking... or are still unsure of meeting up with the rest of the crazies.... These are friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.....

Elizabeth is already e-mailing Taylor, and knows that they'll be there that weekend, so I wouldn't have to lie to the kids about meeting people... all the rest of you would just be 'friends of Amanda' (hmm... sounds like a support group). She does know, too, that there is a connection between "those people that live near us" (the Scubas), and Amanda, so I wouldn't have to lie too much.

We are still around. Lurking, trying to keep up. We are getting close to the cruise. A lot of packing and getting ready for all that.

Noon- 12:30ish sounds good to me. We plan on being at EPCOT then. We are trying to catch the BEAST out while we have Dominique in her Belle dress.

The Scubas will be. We cancelled Ft Lauderdale plans and are now planning on spending Sunday at a Pre-Cruise Meet with whomever is around that day.

Patty - thanks for checking in. Happy that noon on Saturday 9/3 works for you. So the plan for anyone there Saturday is to meet in France between noon and 12:30.

Mark and I shouldn't be hard to find. We'll be in blue t-shirts that say SS Member Cruise on the back!

Sorry we can't stick around for the fun on Sunday but we have a ship to get to!

And if you remember correctly, that was the ONLY we saw while we were there... so I think we timed it pretty well. I DID get to speak to you on the phone several times... so you're not a figment of my imagination... well, maybe I'm hearing voices, but let's not go there...
