Boy am I way behind in posts. I guess I'll have to do less lurking and more posting to help get to the 6000 mark. Got our Banfi today. The poor FedEx man took 45 minutes to find our house. We saw him get to about 1/2 mile south of our house and turn around because he thought he was lost; then he showed up coming from the other direction after about 15 minutes. We flagged him down so he knew he was finally in the right place (plus we didn't want the Banfi to get lost again). Very excellent service from wine.com. Maybe I'll talk DH (Carvinfool) into finally posting after we open the Banfi.

Since most will be out of town this weekend - there won't be much of a race to 6000...More of a chance for us!!!

DH is taking his national EMT exam tonight. Wish him well; he's been studying hard for the last several months. Our town has had a shortage of EMT/paramedics on their volunteer fire/ambulance service, so they held EMT classes locally. They had about 10 people finish the class. DH is already on the volunteer fire department and will soon be an EMT. I'm so proud of him.

Wow! That's fantastic - my brother just passed his basic level (or whatever it's called) he's working in a hospital 3rd shift - he loves it...His favorite show growing up was Emergency and he still is hooked on fire engines, so it's a perfect job for him - as well as the night shift...

arrgh - Mike just got a 2nd "whole class invite" for birthday party on Saturday - it's overlapping the 1st which was also a "whole class invite" - thankfully, school ends tomorrow - so there won't be hurt feelings on Monday or discussion of the various parties..I had to get Mike away from making his decision based on where the party is being held to which child he hangs around with more...

i thought about being an EMT once. it was when i truly hated my job in the SICU (more didn't like the people i worked with--the job itself was good) then i remembered that i'd have to go on runs in cold, rainy, central ohio weather and decided i'd rather stay in a warm, dry hospital.

well, i watched phantom of the opera. it was pretty good! i've seen it on the stage before and loved it. this was nice because i wasn't in nose-bleed seats!

also worked on my cross stitch some while it was on---can't do *that* at the theater!

I saw Phantom on stage (and we have tickets for July) , in the movie theatre and then bought the DVD - the stage version is still my favorite - but, I love the visuals of the movie...It was beautiful!

We had to turn in our really good close center orchestra seats for the Sunday Matinee for Balcony during the Saturday matinee...Slightly disapppointed but, it's 1st tech rehearsal for Sound of Music - It's more important for John to be at rehearsal than I am because he is the Sound Tech...

Picked DDs up from day care & Ashley backed in to my foot. I had sandals on & she hit my big toenail in just the right spot ... or should I say WRONG spot! Boy did that hurt. I'm sitting here with ice on my toe. Hopefully it won't hurt too much this weekend while walking around Chattanooga.

Oh my - what did I start! I'd never want to send Bear on a Journey perhaps, never to return, but Bear could select (or name) a new mascot.....There was a hedgehog that was toured around prior to Hogmany in Scotland last year and the posts were so neat!


And we have all seen the traveling gnomes....

We have a mascot that travels with us - and she'd love to help you with the Banfi

365 DAYS to GO for a double Dip.... We will be at the Irish Pub in Cocoa Beach.

it's 1st tech rehearsal for Sound of Music -

AHHHHHHH. The words "tech rehearsal" send us running and screaming around here! We're probably all lucky that KT isn't home. The 10 day ppl followed this, but I'll update the double scoop people...Nick was in a professional play last November/December. He was the only child actor in "The House at Pooh Corner" done by the Children's Theater group in Columbus. (well, not the ONLY child actor--he was double cast b/c of our 10 day cruise plans) Anyway...we all had to live through rehearsal after rehearsal and tech rehearsal nearly did us in---especially KT who was already upset that her brother got a part in a play when it was SHE who took all of the acting classes!!
