With how beautiful our weather's been since yesterday, I have to think that OhioMinnie is on her way back home.
Great minds think alike.....while driving DD to church this afternoon in the newly waxed Beetle with the top down, she asks "Is Karen gone?"

What?

"With the weather so nice I thought Karen had gone back to Ohio".

I could not have put it better myself. :sunny:

Glad I'm not the only one who has a crazy week... tomorrow night is Middle School Parent Orientation,

Sharon is going to be there too. I'll have her wear her "10 Day" Shirt so you daughter can ask about it. ;)

Jim.....what are YOU doing for the mother of your children??????

Well, excuse me. You don't think making breakfast, supervising Creme Brule before church, helping detail her car, making clam bake with lobster tails beside the pool for lunch, helping with prime rib dinner while she is laying beside the pool, running Lisa to chruch in the afternoon so Sharon can keep sleeping, IS ENOUGH?

If that is not enough I'm sorry for Jay. If he can make you happy he is the MAN! :) :rotfl2:

Is someone high maintenance?

Some words of wisdom I found while making a scrapbook for my Godmother.

The best thing a Father can do for his children is love their Mother.

Hope all the Mothers out there are having a great day.

Nope, Karen is in Florida for another week. Mike's family is coming down to join them for the upcoming week. Hopefully the "Ohio" weather is over with and now it is on to Florida weather.

I will be at the middle school orientation tomorrow night as well. Maybe I will see you there - this could be our pre-cruise meet (unless your daughter is coming with you. Lisa will be at the gym - surprise!!)

I'd say that is working out.

Let them practice on Moms car first............ :earseek: oops, you missed a spot!

Lisa knows Matt will be in Costa Rica for Fathers Day - so she will be on her own.

I am having a WONDERFUL day. I have eaten well, read by the pool, had my car waxed, taken a nap, and have not had to drive anyone anywhere today - YEA!!!!! The Prime Rib Matt is cooking smells wonderful.

Elizabeth's teacher told them that this one is for parents only... she's staying home...

It's off to Boondock's... Ray just pulled in from work!

I thought that was the stuff the kids were doing for her? A thousand pardons! :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

And Jay is taking "Mrs. High Maintenance" to Taco Bell for the 2nd Mother's Day in a row. Might as well make it a tradition!! :teeth:

I just looked up from here, to the kitchen window where our baby doves are in their nest.
There was a bobcat perched on the window sill. As I ran screaming out the door it took off with our babies. I hate living here sometimes. It's just too sad. And on Mother's Day of all days.

Stacey, were you going to take on that bobcat? Sorry to hear about the baby doves. Bad bobcat.

So Sharon is eating prime rib, Stacey is having Taco Bell, Karen is going "out", Ohminnie is eating at WDW (I think she wins), we're having leftover paella. What is everyone else having for Mother's Day dinner?

Well - I'm working so Frances and Lauren were on their own. They drove up to visit her mom - so I figure that pizza will be the menu for tonight...

Mother's Day "dinner" was a grouper reuben... not 'prime rib' caliber, but delicious anyway... while waiting for a table, we watched them bring in the catch that became our dinner 20 minutes later. Christopher was having a blast watching the chef & fishermen fillet it all... they were handing him the scraps (yes, fish guts) to feed the pelicans. Hey- anything to keep him busy for the 1/2 hour wait for a table.

All true, but you are probably having Banfi. Mine is still in the refrig waiting for Father's Day.

Cold and rainy here - OhioMinnie must be on her way to Houston - couldn't go topless today - my pride and joy, convertible beetle stayed in the garage...Although, I'm not complaining about the cool part - we haven't turned our air conditioning on yet this year - sure saves on the electric bill!!!

Mother's Day was a non-event here - usually, I have a hectic spring, training lifeguards and swim instructors for the Houston YMCAs but, I'm not doing much training this year. For the first time in 16 years I didn't have to work Mother's Day- it feels strange...John ended up working sound for the Sunday School musical so was gone through mid afternoon, at our theatre group's affiated church, even though we're not members...The kids and I played hooky from our church and I had a pj day until 10:00.

I spent the day cleaning, laundry, refereeing arguments between the kids and organizing dinner during John's absence...We had peach glazed pork chops, brown rice, acorn squash and spinach salad...Celebrated a birthday and Mother's Day early last night with 2 other couples - the kids grouped together at another house with a babysitter while we polished off 35 lbs of crawfish!!! ooo weee...good stuff!

Just got back from a wonderful evening watching the Irish Tenors. Before that we had dinner at the Safe House. If any of you have ever been to Milwaukee you may have heard about it. It is a spy themed resturant with lots of fun secrets. It has been a wonderful weekend!

I'm not quite sure what I thought I was going to do......I was in hysterics. I know, Circle of Life...blah blah blah...but I don't like to witness it firsthand.
Jay thinks it's pretty cool that I just happened to look up "at the right time". MEN.

I'm still traumatized.

Dying with envy!!!! The green-eyed monster has a hold of me!!! I want to live "someplace wonderful".........
