I didn't want to say too much without getting Stacey's blessing. She's just a little too shaken up to come online right now. Jay was in an accident at work. Due to this they have had to cancel the cruise they were going to leave on next week. Please keep them in your prayers. Between this and Stacey's own surgery it has really been a rough couple of months.

The temperature dropped 40 degrees since yesterday. It's now 45 degrees and raining. To think I was complaining it was hot and humid and I couldn't get into the Christmas spirit to work on our newsletter and Christmas cards. The tree isn't up yet either...

Update on my Mom and Dad (Stacey & J)

Dad crushed his middle and ring fingers of his left hand, in a saw at work.. not much was left of the tips, so they had to amputate Fortunately just at the first knuckle on each finger.

He seems to be doing alright, he went BACK to WORK the day after the accident. (just working behind the desk.... or at least that's what he's telling us!)

Thanks Megan for the update. When I heard from Stacey yesterday she was trying to get some rest and trying not to worry too much about Jay who was already back at work. Here's hoping they both had a restful night.

Hi guys. Thank you all so much, for your prayers. Thank you to Mary and Megan for posting for me. I just was ....well, I guess too "boggled".

Spent most of yesterday making cancellation phone calls and a few other things. The good news is that we can use our airline tickets to fly to Ohio for Megan's wedding, without any penalty.

Jay's pain level has shot up in the last day and a half. I think it's finally starting to sink in.....he'd basically been in denial. It's managed well when I can force him to take his pain pills.....has to be a macho man. Except yesterday, he came home early, looked as though he were crawling in the door, and headed straight for the pills. I'm going to have to sneak over to the office today to see just exactly what he's doing there. He's only supposed to be sitting in the office.

We're not upset at canceling the cruise....well, Jared is, but he's a kid and he'll get over it......I'm actually kind of relieved, I had felt that I was too stressed about it anyway. And right now, all I care about is that Jay is basically okay and we're all together.

Thank you again...so much. I truly believe in the power of prayer.
