To the OH Mouse Family ....

GEAUX TIGERS!!!
A co-worker of mine is an OSU fan. He called tonight to say Go Buckeyes. I'm sure we'll have a friendly wager with the prize being a pizza lunch.

Ang

I'm waiting for this one - Sadly we will not have a repeat from last year....

Capital One Jan. 1
1 p.m. Orlando, Fla. Michigan vs. Florida ABC

But, I cannot see my way to root for LSU - so I will join the ranks of the Ohio Fans... at least for one night.....

Caught up now - at least on the Dis....

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house.

Jim, thought of you yesterday during the marathon of the Palm Beach Broadcast - and yes, it was hot again, hotter than last year I think.

Our cool weather will be in the next few days...We shall have a fire as it will be in the 50's (or so they say.)

The tree is up - so pretty - and we have discovered a new Holiday Classic - the Hogfather - it was on Ion TV - a British broadcast - based on Terry Pratchett's book - which I read in past years and enjoy.

We watched the Army/Navy game - what fun...I was rooting for Hawaii to get a good bowl game - Sugar Bowl, that's great...did you know there are 32 bowl games? That is 64 teams? OK, now that is overkill....even though there are 4 Florida team playing.....

I'm glad I did not come down for it. A group from my running club came down, but I decided to stay home since we have not been home much.

I ran 25 miles on Sunday, but was out of the house at 4:30 am so I beat the heat.

We saw you... at least I THINK it was Sunday... I lose track of what day it is... you were by the golf course...

I'm telling you, I STILL can't figure out why people run when they AREN'T being chased!!!!!

Well the 2009 ports are out and it looks like the Magic is staying in the Caribbean. Anyone up for a reunion cruise?

Looks like it is Tortula for the summer? Jim/Kevin how is the diving there (since I know that is a draw for you)?

I think I would have liked St. Croix but they aren't doing that over the summer.

Mark and I are still on the fence.

Mary,

How are the prices for y'all? I priced out the May 23rd sailing to Tortola & almost had heart failure!!! I think the girls will still be young enough that they are not incurring adult prices yet.

Ang

May is high and June was even higher! One of the reasons we are on the fence. We were hoping for Alaska and might have been more willing to pay those prices for that instead of another Eastern. Especially since we are doing an Eastern in April '08.

But like I told the kids...."Welcome to being grown up"!! :rotfl: :sad1:

My new mantra. Alicia worked 8 hours last Saturday and Sunday, on her feet all day. And she didn't like it! In fact, she said "I don't want to work 8 hour shifts anymore". Ahem. More incentive to go to college. As Kevin says, then you get to sit on your behind all day.

Off to check prices for 2009, I'm sure Tortola would be a hit. Maybe if we start saving now...

The new kitty is doing well. His name is Albus now, long story. He will not, under any circumstances, eat dry food. Even if he's starving, which is apparently why he was so underweight when we got him. He is fattening up nicely on a steady diet of wet food (Pro Plan is preferred), and getting much more playful. He's almost ready for his close-up, if we can get him to stay still long enough. Seems we may not have gotten a lap sitter after all.

Yikes! Our usual Cat 6 for three is $5600 on the May 23 sailing to Tortola. On May 30, it jumps to $6900. Anyone for another cruise line? Sadly, we no longer have an on board booking credit, we let it go.

For a cat 8 on May 23 for the 4 of us, it's $5856 & jumps to $7027. I can't remember what the exact DCL quote for us for 2006 was but I think it was $3900. That's $1000/day!

MEGAN! I swear that hasn't been me stalking your house. Your mom is NOT paying me to do it. I swear! ;)

Uh oh... I thought I saw someone perched in the tree outside our living room.. it's kinda cold to be doing that.. maybe next time I'll bring you a blanket and some hot cocoa!

:cool1: :cheer2: I'll have to jump over to the cruise board!!!

YES!!! We're in - with my parents and my brother's family w/ds then 7. We'll have to wait until the Chicago school system is out - later in June, if anyone can stand to wait that long ...

Off to call my dad...

Awwwww....thanks! That definitely makes stalking more tolerable. If, of course, that was me stalking you. Which it's not. ;) :lmao:

:sad1: - Dad's not home, John's not in the office - no one is able to share in the excitement and happy dance with me... :sad1:

 Prices are more!!! - This is my parents 45 anniversary present to themselves - having the entire family on vacation... My parents have the final say (and the checkbook) but, I'm voting for an Eastern - every cruise we have done included the Western ports - I'm tired of them - although it would mean 7 "sea" days and/or beach time!!! :cool1:

ok - on the phone w/my dad

#1 Date - 7/11
#2 Date 7/18
#3 Date 6/20

Now what itineraries are those??!!! :rotfl2: Mike's h.s. marching band schedule is playing havoc with vacations already!!!

7/11 is Western
7/18 and 6/20 are Tortola

We may be looking for another cruise line also - the prices are getting RIDICULOUS!
