Why, Karen...I never would have thought you to be a schemer....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey, there is a lot of politics in the theater!
Kids were bummed. Noah was down for a nap when we got there. He woke up at 3:42. The parents got home at 3:45. Oops. So Nick offered to babysit EVERY Sunday! HA!

We are done with all our family Christmas events!!!!

We have planned real hard to actually be home for Christmas this year. Today we meet my family for dinner and to do the family thing. For the next two days we have nothing, but our family!!

Sad, but all we wanted to do this year is to just stay home for Christmas and to do nothing. We figure it's been at least 7 years since we have been home for Christmas. Once January hits we are not home any weekend until Memorial Day so this is a big event for us.

It's a Pajama Christmas. :cheer2:

Tomorrow we go horseback riding and do late church. Tuesday it is nothing. What a great Christmas.

I'm excited about this one, but sure wish I was on DCL with 100 of my closest friend. At least we have several christmas tree ornaments as reminders.

The NCL cruise hit its first port today, Samana, Dominican Republic. I'm told the water was cold and green like pea soup, so no snorkeling. So far, we aren't missing much from the sound of it.

I'm with you, Jim.....if it were a Disney cruise that we were missing, I'd be going crazy.....but since it wasn't, it feels nice to be spending a quiet Christmas at home, just the four of us.

Jared has some kind of nasty bite on his arm. Not sure if it was a spider, or the "kissing Beetle" we have here. Most likely the beetle. I was half tempted to take him to the ER, because that drug-resistant staph infection can present as if it were a spider bite.....but he wouldn't go, said that would be "stupid"....so we're just keeping an eye on it for now and stuffing him with Benedryl.

If only Dr. Mike was closer - he helped with my bug bite. :)

Good Morning All - We have returned from our Pre-Christmas Cruise, this time with no dis Friends. We had a super relaxing time....Here are the highlights:

Drive up - uneventful, expect for the "client phone call" - and guess who left the cell phone in the car?

Sail-away Day - There was a rocket launch at 3:00 - what an unexpected surprise. I have pictures, but unlike Mark and Mary I am not organized so they are still in the camera. We ate some shrimp for Jay....

Palos - when it is not busy - you can have two Polo dinners - (burp). And we met two delighful cast members at Promonade - Dawn and Stani....

PreEAR event - National Treasure - at 12:01 we went into watch the movie - at 12:10 - it broke.....oh well, tomorrow....

Nassua - We were spoiled with a villa treatment - ahhhhhh - glad we splurged, it was worth it...and the hot stones massage was delightful.....

Watched our first movie in the BV Theatre - Enchanted.....it was charming, and we had not seen it.

Priate Night - pirate night - AAArghhhh........and National Treasure - this time 100% - great fun.

Castaway Cay - the good news is that the boat was able to dock, the bad news is that almost all water events, inlcuding the Seahorse Snorkel, were cancelled. The good news is that we have no gear to clean. And, we walked the new bike path - neat.

Palos - times two - yes, the souffle is as good as ever.

Time to come home - sad, that funny dust is in the air again.

And yesterday was grocery shopping for Christmas. Today is catching up at work.....a Friend's Open House and then church tomorrow. Take care all.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.....

Megan reminded me last night that Jared had a staph infection, either at the tail end of last school year, or the beginning of this one. I'd totally forgotten. Probably thanks to the drugs & surgery.....at least that's a better excuse than old age.....
So NOW of course I'm really worried about it.

Darn it. Where are Dr. Mike and Virgil when you need them??? ;) ;)

We're keeping an eye on it for now....will see if it gets better, worse, fever, whatever.

Irene! Glad you're home safe and sound and that you had a good time!! Jay appreciates the shrimp.
Sorry about the snorkel. When the water's nice, that reef is pretty awesome. Well, the one they took all of us to the first time, anyway. Probably better that you didn't go at all, rather than the "alternate" spot they go to when the water is a little choppy....not much to see at that one.

I wish we lived close enough to take a quick 3 or 4 day......that would be a nice little Christmas gift.

I have therapy at 11:00 (who knew they'd be open on Christmas Eve??) and then have to come home and make a green bean casserole and pie....and then we're off to our friend's house to watch their grandson open his Christmas presents. I'm excited to see a little one at Christmas, it's been a looong time.

:yay: :yay:

Happy Birthday Frances!!

Most people Mike sees with MRSA say "I think he got bit by a spider." So it's worth watching closely.

Good Morning All! Safe travels to all who are traveling and enjoy time with family and friends!!!

The kids have worked hard this weekend. Maggie baked cookies and Mike cleaned the house. 5:00 church service tonight and then dinner with John's aunt, uncle and cousins. Menu tonight is a pork crown roast with ancho chili glaze and wild rice, sausage apple stuffing, rolls from my grandmother's recipe, apple-cranberry walnut pie, cherry pie, and our traditional peppermint cheesecake. John's aunt is bringing the salad and veggie.

Stacey, I'm off to work at the aquatic therapy center to teach a water aerobics class at local Catholic hospital campus at 11:45. I was as surprised as you to discover we were running full schedule until 2:00 today. This is the first time in five years I remember we are open on Christmas Eve.

PS - Stacey, Maggie made the peppermint bark, too! yum!

Happy Birthday Frances!!

Definately worth stealing. :) Happy Birthday Frances!

What a cute bear card! Happy Birthday, Frances!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday with their families. Alicia is working today, then we will go to my in-laws for luminarias and posole. Kevin is making that, smells good! Tomorrow we will be here, in pajamas. Don't forget the WDW parade!
