& haven't gotten around to watching 24 yet.

Ang

Would you believe that I haven't watched one minute of 24 this season... now that we (finally) have a DVR, I set it to record, and just haven't had that 'urgency' to watch it... maybe once the whole season is over, I'll just have a marathon. Besides, there's been enough tragedy and drama around here lately that I don't need to stress myself out any more.

Though, this season, I have gotten hooked on Las Vegas, and Brothers and Sisters.

Awwww, that was so sweet of Jay! :flower3:

Here's what Dwight gave me for Valentine's Day: he left town on a business trip!!! (not funny really, but he'll make it up to me --- oh yes he will!!!)

It's just so not nice of him to mess with my mind like that! Just kidding, it was really sweet. Jordan especially was surprised and almost didn't know what to say.

I got the two girls those talking critters from Hallmark. I got Megan the pink Hippo named Lola, and Jordan has the cat named Leonardo. I took Megan's to her at work today and embarrassed her by continually pushing Lola's button and making her talk.......

Have you looked at the Konica Minolta 7d or 5d? Unless Minolta has changed the mount any lens that works on 35mm will work on digital -- it is the reverse that does not hold true. Some lenses that are designed for the smaller frame digital cameras will not cover a full 35mm film size. I do not know much about Minolta -- are your lenses manual or autofocus? Do you know what mount you are using? (What is your current camera?) Look in the Konica Minolta section of the dpreview forums.

www.dcresource.com is another great site.....

The Sony uses the Konica/Minolta lenses - it's actually a rebranded KM. KM no longer makes DSLRs. I really like the anti-vibration mode on the Sony. Tried it in the store a few times and I like it - just trying to narrow down between it and the D80..... I'm a long time 35mm Nikon fan - and have a compact Nikon.... but that anti-vibration feature is really nice...

Virgil - great site indeed - thanks...but did you know his sample pics were from DL and WDW and Mickey????? He gave the Canon Rebel a good review, but the Nikon received a fantastic, but the Nikon is "soft", don't think I would like that result.

I'll explore Sony some more, but the ones I looked at did not have TTL viewfinder options, which is a must for this "old dog". That is one of the attractions of the Canon....And must also get to the store to try out...

I know, I will hire Lisa to carry the film and the digital and I'll take the point and shoot.....

As I have been completely manual for years, I wonder how important anti-shake is???? aaaakkkk - information overload.

Jay is not suspose to make me look bad, but he did.

I got Sharon a really nice card. Does that count?

Matt and I just got back from taking Janet, my office wife, out for Valentine's dinner. We had a good time. She's recently seperated so it was great for her to have someone to go with.
Where is Sharon you ask? At the gym of course!!! :lmao:

That's the advantage of having 2 wives. If one is out of town you can always go out to dinner with the other one. :rotfl:

Like you could handle TWO!

Well, I didn't get a card, so you did good. Okay, lame, but I was trying to make you feel better.

Last week we received a surprise in the mail.

It arrived in time to help celebrate Lisa's Daytona meet.

Now we have the official way to keep our Rose Regale Banfi chilled!

Thanks Virgil. Your timing was perfect.

Jim, once again Bruce makes you look good. He didn't even get me a card. He did take the girls & I out for Mexican though.

Hey Virgil, did you notice that my DIS Lifetime sponsor icon is different than yours now? Somewhere along the road, I "lost" mine. I didn't delete it, I didn't even accidentally delete it. I did that to my tags once and learned my lesson....so I hadn't touched it.
When I realized I'd lost my sponsor icon, I had to go to the Tech board and ask them to put it back...so now it's the new one. I like the old one better. It would be like losing your "Member Since Day One" Disney Visa!

Angie, thanks for the offer. I will ask Kevin if he can remember which parts we saw. I know we missed Hiro getting locked in the closet, but I'm not sure where we picked up. It doesn't seem quite as urgent to see every minutes of Heroes, unlike Lost. And that's a good thing. Lost got very strange last night.

Kiki, you must have some hard drive on your DVR! Our new one has twice the size hard drive of the old one. I'm waiting to see if it works correctly, the UPS guy THREW it onto out porch last night at 7 pm. I'm sure they were behind because of the snow, but I don't think it's good for computer type electronics to get thrown around.

And I've been watching Brother's & Sisters too. It hasn't quite replaced Everwood in my heart, but it's a Greg Berlanti show now. And he's hired my favorite actress from Everwood, Emily Van Camp. She shows up this week as Holly's daughter.

Kevin showed up with chocolate and cards last night. Alicia was absolutely thrilled, her only regret about not going to school was not getting any chocolate. They're dark chocolate truffles, too, handmade. Yummy!

Virgil, and I say this in the nicest way. I think ours got lost in the mail!

Good morning everyone.

I am leaving in a few minutes for airport. I really hate leaving the kids and charley at home, but I know I need to go. Charley broght me 2 dozen lovely red roses to the office yesterday and really surprised me. I bought him a box of candy (the kind I like:lmao: ) and got the kids little boxes of candy. Tried to tell them their present was a trip to WDW, but that didn't really fly with Ashley.

We all went out to eat last night at a place called "Nothing but noodles" It was really good, I had the eggplant parmesan with angel hair.

Well, gotta run. Have fun all.

Pam, how did you get something with eggplant in it if it's "nothing but noodles?" :lmao:

No Valentine's day celebration here. We've always just saved the money that we would have spent. Love flowers but they are $$$ and die too quickly. Love chocolate, but it makes me fat(ter). Don't need a Hallmark card with some sappy sentiment on it.

I did make waffles last night (more out of pure laziness and no desire to cook something major) and then realized as I put them on the plate that they were heart shaped. Yes, heart shaped waffles on styrofoam plates (our dishwasher still hasn't been replaced) Yes, romantic Valentine's day here. :)

Virgil, you already know, but ours came too!! :)
Of course the Banfi was missing though. :( :lmao:

Cool! U TOP with Virgil and Banfi!

I did notice that - I thought you had asked for it to be changed.....
